Relationship Analysis between the Box Office Performance and Sentimental Words in Movie Review (영화의 흥행 성과와 리뷰 감정어휘와의 관계 분석)

  • This study aims to understand distribution of the sentimental words on each genre and find relationship between box office performance and sentimental words in movie review using 673 movies that have more than 1,000 reviews. For the analysis, crawling movie reviews and made data was composed movie genre, movie name, sales, attendance, screen, normal attendance, 7 sentimental words. For analysis results, we used correlation analysis and Parallel coordinates. As a results, First, the highest box office value of the genre is comedy and the lowest box office value of the genre is horror through analyze box office on each genre. Secondly, Movie genre of fantasy feel a lot of boring emotion and Movie genre of SF feel a lot of anger emotion even if 'Happy' and 'Surprise' have highest sentiment value on every genre. Third, We found 'Anger' increase sentimental value when 'Disgust' increase sentimental value and 'Surprise' decrease sentimental value when 'Happy' increase sentimental value through analyze correlation relationship between sentimental words using total data. Fourth, We found 'Happy' have linear relationship between box office and 'Fear' have non-linear relationship between box office through analyze sentimental words according to box office performance.

An analysis on streetscape using the Model of Emotion Evaluation (가로경관에 대한 감성평가모형 적용 분석 연구)

  • In this study, the Model of Emotion Evaluation, an emotional analysis actively applied in environmental assessment, was divided into two parts, the abbreviated model and the inferential model, through pilot study and experiment. In addition, an analysis was conducted through the experiment on the attributes of the evaluation vocabularies of two additional types of representative models, the EPA Model and PAD Model, and the results show a huge difference in the development approach and lexical constitution of the two models. It was also identified through factor analysis that the vocabularies were abbreviated according to the respective models. Similarity relationships were analyzed using multidimensional scaling and the results show that mutual relationship was established to some degree. Based on this, we can conclude that, rather than a biased use of the Model of Emotion Evaluation in emotion evaluation, a more objective image analysis is possible by analyzing the characteristics of the model before applying it. In this study, the evaluation target was confined only to the environmental assessment of streetscape and continuous research on the Model of Emotion Evaluation that allows for the comparison of evaluation models in various areas is needed.

Development a self-report questionnaire-type scale for measuring user's emotions while using a product (제품 사용 중 사용자의 감성 측정을 위한 자기-보고 질문지형 척도 개발)

  • The most common method in the psychological measuring method for measuring user's emotions is to indirectly measure the user's emotion by using adjectives, called emotional words. The previous research, in order to observe user's emotional changes while they interact with a product, has extracted some emotional words and representative emotions, and made a set of subjective evaluation scale. In addition to adjective checklists, self-report questionnaire-type scales have been extensively used to assess user's emotions. This research suggested a self-report questionnaire-type scale using the representative emotions and a set of subjective evaluation scale made in the previous research. Also the reliability of the suggested self-report questionnaire-type scale was confirmed through the analysis of Cronbach's coefficient alpha. Therefore, the self-report questionnaire-type scale extracted through this research can be used in various ways to measure a user's user's emotions naturally expressed while using a product.

Analysis of Gaze Related to Cooperation, Competition and Focus Levels (협력, 경쟁, 집중 수준에 따른 시선 분석)

  • Emotional interaction in virtual reality is necessary of social communication. However, social emotion has been tried to be less recognized quantitatively. This study was to determined social gaze of emotion in business domain. 417 emotion words were collected and 16 emotion words were selected to Goodness of Fit. Emotion word were mapped into 2 dimensional space through multidimensional scaling analysis. Then, X axis defined dimensions of cooperation, competition, and Y axis of low focus and high focus through the FGD. 52 subjects were presented to stimuli for emotion and gaze movement data were collected. Independent t-test results showed that the gaze factor increased in the face, eye, and nose areas at cooperation, and the gaze factor increased in the right face and nose areas at the low focus. It is expected that this will be used as a basic research to evaluate emotions needed in business environment in virtual space.

A Corpus Analysis of British-American Children's Adventure Novels: Treasure Island (영미 아동 모험 소설에 관한 코퍼스 분석 연구: 『보물섬』을 중심으로)

  • In this study, we analyzed the vocabulary, lemmas, keywords, and n-grams in 『Treasure Island』 to identify certain linguistic features of this British-American children's adventure novel. The current study found that, contrary to the popular claim that frequently-used words are important and essential to a story, the set of frequently-used words in 『Treasure Island』 were mostly function words and proper nouns that were not directly related to the plot found in 『Treasure Island』. We also ascertained that a list of keywords using a statistical method making use of a corpus program was not good enough to surmise the story of 『Treasure Island』. However, we managed to extract 30 keywords through the first quantitative keyword analysis and then a second qualitative keyword analysis. We also carried out a series of n-gram analyses and were able to discover lexical bundles that were preferred and frequently used by the author of 『Treasure Island』. We hope that the results of this study will help spread this knowledge among British-American children's literature as well as to further put forward corpus stylistic theory.

A Comparative Study on the Image characteristics in Traditional Palaces of Korea, China and Japan (한 중 일 궁궐 건축의 이미지 특성 비교 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to find the unique image characteristics of Korea and identify the Korea culture by comparing the image characteristics of traditional palaces of Korea, China and Japan. This study identifies the unique image characteristics of Korea through a comparative analysis the image of three nations. Literature research, free association measurement, survey were conducted to select study objects and descriptive words. 5 outside-pictures and 2 inside-pictures of the Changduckung, the Forbidden City, the Nijo castle representing each country's traditional palaces were chosen as study objects. A questionnaire was made with 47 descriptive words and 5-scale measurement. The results of analysis are as follows. The representative words to express the image characteristics of Korea, China and Japan traditional palaces are adornment, stability, openness, lines, unfamiliarity, feminine. This study researched the common and different factors between the image characteristics in traditional palaces of Korea, China and Japan. The common image is the image of lines. The distinctive characteristics of Korea are stability, curved lines and femininity. The characteristics of China are adornment and straight lines. And, the characteristics of Japan are simplicity, unfamiliarity, and openness. Based on the research, it was found out that stability and curved lines are the main characteristics of Korea. This study researches the characteristics of images of Korea, China and Japan. This study shows the common and different factors of image characteristics of in the neighboring three nations of East Asia. Due to the geographical and cultural effect over a long time, the Korea was evaluated as the middle cultural between China and Japan. However, this study found unique characteristics of Korea's image.

A research on the emotion GUI design of touch mobile for Grooming user by using a multidimensional standard analysis (다차원 척도 분석법을 통한 Grooming 사용자의 터치폰 감성 GUI 디자인에 대한 연구)

  • This study is to establish GUI (graphic user interface) in mobile touch phone for grooming user by using two dimensional emotion model determined by multi-dimensional scale method. The processes conducted in the research were as the followings: First of all, visceral, behavioral, and reflective factors of emotion (Norman, 2002) was defined from investigating the life styles of the Grooming users. Secondly, factor analysis was performed to extract the representative emotional words. In the third step, they were mapped into the two-dimensional emotion model through multi-dimensional scaling. Finally, the mapped emotional words were tried to be related to GUI factors of touch phones and normalizing their relation degree between 0 and 1. This study determined GUI factors significantly related to representative emotions described as special, self-centered, sophisticated, free, passionate, neat for application to mobile touch phone. This study determined the major emotion factors that should be considered the most important while designing the GUI factors.

  • 지금까지 대부분의 정보검색 시스템은 명사만을 색인어로 추출하여 사용하였다. 명사는 문서를 대표할 수 있는 어휘 요소이다. 그러나 명사 색인어만 가지고는 문서의 주제를 정확하게 나타낼 수 없다. 본 논문은 명사 색인어와 함께 용언도 색인어로 추출하여 사용하는 한국어 정보 검색시스템을 제시한다. 또한, 용역 색인어와 명사 색인어의 상대적 가중치를 검색에 이용하여 사용자의 질의에 적합한 문서를 검색할 수 있도록 한다. 이러한 과정에서 발견된 문제점은 향후 연구 과제로 계속 향상시켜나갈 것이다.

  • 최근 컴퓨터와 인간간의 대화 수단으로 음성을 활용하는 기술인 음성정보기술이 발달함에 따라 대어휘 연속 음성 인식 및 무제한 어휘 음성 합성의 고도화를 위한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 음성 인식의 경우 HMM으로 대표되는 통계적 수법의 발달에 따라 시스템의 학습을 위해 대량의 음성데이터가 필요하며, 음성 합성의 경우에도 최근 대형의 음성 데이터 베이스로부터 임의 길이의 음성 부분을 골라내어 접속함으로써 좋은 합성 품질을 얻고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 음성 인식 및 합성을 위해 공동으로 사용하기 위한 음성 데이터베이스의 발성 목록을 설계하고 설계된 결과에 대하여 논의한다.

  • According to increasing SNS users and developing smart devices like smart phone and tablet PC recently, many techniques to classify user emotions with social network information are researching briskly. The use emotion classification stands for distinguishing its emotion with text and images listed on his/her SNS. This paper suggests a method to classify user emotions through sampling a value of a representative figure on a trigonometrical function, a representative adjective on text, and a canny algorithm on images. The sampling representative adjective on text is selected as one of high frequency in the samplings and measured values of positive-negative by SentiWordNet. Figures sampled on images are selected as the representative in figures; triangle, quadrangle, and circle as well as classified user emotions by measuring pleasure-unpleased values as a type of figures and inclines. Finally, this is re-defined as x-y graph that represents pleasure-unpleased and positive-negative values with wheel of emotions by Plutchik. Also, we are anticipating for applying user-customized service through classifying user emotions on wheel of emotions by Plutchik that is redefined the representative adjectives and figures.
