오륜은 지난 1989년 설립 이래 지금까지 지속 성장을 거듭하고 있는 대표적인 강소(强小)기업이다. 이 전남 여수의 작은 기업이 어떻게 200여 명의 사원을 거느린 탄탄한 중견기업으로 성장할 수 있었을까. 이에 대한 해답은 '경영자의 높은 안전의식'에서 찾을 수 있다. 오륜의 창업자이자 현 경영자인 이기동 대표는 국내 주요 화학회사에서 근무를 하며 IFP공정 등 화학전문과정을 수료한 화학공정전문가로, 설립 초기부터 안전을 경영의 핵심가치로 내세웠다. 기업의 지속 성장을 위해서는 반드시 안전이 뒷받침 돼야한다는 것이 그의 철학이었다. 이런 이대표의 굳은 신념에 따라 오륜은 체계적인 안전관리시스템을 구축하고, 이를 바탕으로 기술력을 향상시켜나갔다. 그리고 그 결과 삼성SDI 등 국내 굴지기업들의 협력사이자 삼성전자의 주력 제품에 부품을 공급하는 핵심 기업으로 거듭났다. 또한 이 대표는 올해 대한산업안전협회로부터 감사패를 수여 받는 등 안전문화 확산에 대한 높은 공로를 대내외에서 인정받았다. 안전경영의 표본으로 올라선 이기동 대표를 찾아 그의 경영방침과 안전철학에 대해 들어봤다.

정보의 양이 많아지면서 정보 검색 시스템에 검색 결과를 자동으로 구조화하는 계층적 클러스터링을 적용하는 시도가 늘고 있다. 계층적 클러스터링은 문서 간의 유사도를 통해 클러스터를 계층 구조로 만들어 검색 성능을 높이고 결과를 사용자에게 이해하기 쉽게 보여준다. 계층 구조는 검색 결과를 요약하는 것이기 때문에 클러스터의 내용을 효과적으로 함축할 수 있는 대표어의 선정이 중요하다. 각 클러스터의 대표어를 선정하기 위해 대표어에 명사인 단어만 추출하고 상위 클러스터 대표어에 사용된 단어는 하위 클러스터에 사용하지 않는 방법을 적용하여 대표어의 질을 높였다.

(주)에치지코리아(대표이사 안홍길, www.hgkorea.kr)는 플렉소 CTP 및 UV CTP를 제작 공급하는 회사다. 안홍길 대표이사는 라벨산업도 오프셋인쇄와 마찬가지로 고객의 품질 향상 요구는 높아지고 있지만 오프셋인쇄와는 달리 이제야 디지털방식으로 전환되고 있어, 플렉소 CTP 산업은 향후 성장가능성이 매우 크다고 전망했다.

The urban representative landscapes play a leading role in establishing city identity via a symbol of the city and a mediator to make the city all the more worthy of being peculiarized. The study aims at evaluating the perceptive factors in the representative landscapes around the metropolitan Seoul derived from the preliminary researches through questionnaire surveying, in an attempt to analyze their characteristics by type and reason, while further proposing progressive management plans. This study was mostly focused on the visibility factor, activity factor, aesthetic factor and cultural factor influencing on the cognition of urban representative landscapes. The important findings discovered in this research are as follows. First, it was found that people were being interested more on the cultural factors and the activity factors these days rather than visibility factors in the cognition of urban representative landscapes. Second, it was found that the priority rank of urban representative landscapes revealed in this study based on the total account of more diverse perceptive factors, showed so much alteration compared to the previous researches focused mostly upon the visual image.

In this work, we propose a new method of extracting and weighting representative keywords(RKs) from a few documents that might interest a user. In order to extract RKs, we first extract candidate terms and them choose a number of terms called initial representative keywords (IRKs) from them through fuzzy inference. Then, by expanding and reweighting IRKs using term co-occurrence similarity, the final RKs are obtained. Performance of our approach is heavily influenced by effectiveness of selection method of IRKs so that we choose fuzzy inference because it is more effective in handling the uncertainty inherent in selecting representative keywords of documents. The problem addressed in this paper can be viewed as the one of calculating center of document vectors. So, to show the usefulness of our approach, we compare with two famous methods - Rocchio and Widrow-Hoff - on a number of documents collections. The result show that our approach outperforms the other approaches.

Representative particle sizes(RPS) are commonly used for particle size distribution of heterogeneous sediment such as bed material. RPS can provide not only information of mean characteristics of sediment, but also other properties like sorting, skewness, kurtosis. For sediment including sand and clay material, RPS is estimated through two steps. The first is experimental step for calculating weight of each size class, the next is interpolation step to get RPS by using the graph plot. At the second step, graph method known as direct reading of value along the interpolation line in the graph plot is commonly used. This method is often time-consuming job. In this study we developed a new program to get RPS by using MS Excel. Simple linear and semi-log interpolation are used. When compared with conventional graph method(direct reading), simple linear shows 5.31%, while semi-log 1.29% of relative difference. We developed MS Excel program for estimation of RPS automatically.

하구 관측은 조사 방법 및 주기에 따라 크게 두 가지로 구분되는데, 첫째는 현장에서 직접 주기적으로 자료를 수집하는 정기 현장관측과 다른 하나는 고정된 지점에 관측소를 설치하여 실시간으로 연속된 자료를 수집하는 실시간 관측으로 분류된다. 본 연구는 하구 관측망 체계를 확립하기 위한 기초 연구로서 금강하구역을 대상으로 모의된 수치 모델 자료를 이용하여 관측망을 설계하기 위한 대표 모니터링 지표를 선정하고, 이를 기반으로 관측 지점을 설계하기 위한 전략을 제시하였다. 대표 모니터링 지표는 실제 현장에서 일반적으로 취득할 수 있는 6가지 항목(수온, 염분, 용존산소, 클로로필a, 총질소, 총인)을 대상으로 EOF 분석을 실시하여 해역의 시공간 분포를 대표할 수 있다고 판단되는 2개의 항목을 선정하였다. 대표 모니터링 지점은 2개의 대표 모니터링 지표에 대한 고유 벡터 사이의 각도를 벡터의 내적으로 계산하고 이를 설계변수로 활용하여 도식최적화 기법을 통해 각 모니터링 항목들에 대한 공간 분포를 가장 잘 재현해 낼 수 있는 지점의 개수와 위치를 선정하였다. 선정된 모니터링 지점들을 이용하여 재구성된 공간 분포를 참값(수치모델)과 비교하여 통계적 적정성 여부를 평가하였으며, 이를 통해 금강하구의 대표 모니터링 지점들을 도출 해 내었다. 금강하구의 정기 현장 관측에 대한 대표 모니터링 지점은 7개로 선정되었으며, 이들은 6가지 관측 항목들에 대해서 매우 높은 공간분포 재현율을 확보할 수 있음을 확인하였다. 또한, 담수가 비정기적으로 방류되는 금강하구 시스템의 지역적 특성에 대한 시계열 정보를 연속적으로 가장 잘 취득할 수 있는 실시간 관측소 설치 영역을 결정하기 위하여, 7개의 대표 모니터링 지점에서의 시계열 정보를 금강하구둑 전면과 외해의 시계열 정보와 비교분석하여 설치가능 지점을 영역으로 제언하였다.
