In recent years, there has been a significant increase in the importance of curation services that analyze user information requests to provide tailored information within extensive information resources. This study aims to identify user information needs by analyzing search term logs from the Presidential Archives Portal to enhance the utilization value of presidential records, which possess high historical significance. In addition, by evaluating the portal's search performance, this study seeks to determine whether the Presidential Archives Portal is providing archival information services that meet users' information needs and to suggest areas for improvement through digital record curation services. To achieve these objectives, topic analysis and word network analysis were conducted based on search term logs spanning the past eight years. The search quality of the Presidential Archives Portal was evaluated from an accuracy perspective, focusing on areas with high user demand, and recommendations were drawn based on the results of the analysis. As a preliminary study for digital record curation of presidential records, this study is significant because it identifies specific user information needs and quantifies the search quality of archival portal sites to improve user satisfaction.

This study raises the need to establish a 'Presidential Digital Archive Platform' that actively shares and opens related information and data by linking and integrating the presidential knowledge infrastructure. The Presidential Digital Archive Platform can promote the quality and value of presidential records as a "Governance Platform" where "Presidential Archives", "Presidential Archives-related Institutions" and "users" can interact through presidential records. And it will provide an opportunity to create a new paradigm. For this purpose, 'Presidential archives portal analysis' and 'Presidential Archives-related Institutions analysis' will be conducted to identify improvements and requirements when establishing the Presidential Digital Archive Platform. In addition to deriving implications through 'Digital Archive Platform case analysis' at home and abroad, measures to strengthen presidential archival reference services were discussed. Finally, based on the results, a step-by-step implementation strategy for platform construction was presented.

The purpose of this study is to propose a record service based on the characteristics and production context of presidential records. To this end, we first looked at the design direction and characteristics of the e-jiwon system and then analyzed the structure and characteristics of records produced by the e-jiwon system. There are six types of records to be analyzed: e-jiwon document card, memo, schedule, diary, instruction card, and individual business system_speech DB. Next, through analysis of the Presidential Records Portal's records service, it was pointed out that the current records service does not fully reveal the production context and characteristics of records. Accordingly, as a service strategy based on the characteristics and context of presidential records, a service centered on each record card (e-jiwon document card, etc.) and a service that focuses on structural understanding of records and linkage between records were proposed.

As the recognition of the importance of user-oriented services is increasing, there has been a heightened attention for finding aids that could improve the effectiveness of searching. This study tried to draw various facet elements that can be applied to the presidential records retrieval system using presidential records as cases in analyzing various resources, considering the importance of facets in finding aids for the improvement of effectiveness in searching in the future and the importance of presidential records in Korea. In drawing facet elements based on the characteristics of presidential records, the websites of the National Archives (NARA) and Presidential (Prime Ministers') Archives as well as their search options were examined as cases. In addition, the morpheme of each title of presidential records were analyzed, as well as the terms entered by the users of the Presidential Archives Portal of Korea, the terms used in the request for information disclosure toward the Presidential Archives in Korea, the search options of the Presidential Archives Portal, and the elements of the description and metadata standards. The significance of this study lies on suggesting the methodology of developing various facets as main elements in finding aids using the presidential records as cases.
