Effects of Virtual Reality Based Video game and Rehabilitation Exercise on the Balance and Activities of Daily Living of Chronic Stroke Patients (가상현실기반 비디오게임과 재활운동이 만성기 뇌졸중 환자의 균형 및 일상생활동작에 미치는 영향)

  • 연구목적: 닌텐도 위를 이용한 가상현실기반 비디오게임 프로그램을 만성기 뇌졸중 환자에게 적용하여 균형능력 및 일상생활동작에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 알아보고, 뇌졸중 환자의 재활프로그램으로서 적용 가능성이 있는지 알아보고자 한다. 연구방법: 만성기 뇌졸중 환자를 무작위로 가상현실기반 비디오게임 프로그램을 적용한 실험군(n=7)과 적용하지 않은 대조군(n=10)으로 구분하여 연구를 진행하였다. 연구에 참여한 모든 대상자에게 30분의 Bobath therapy와 15분간의 FES 치료를 기본적으로 실시하였다. 이에 더하여 실험군은 가상현실기반 비디오게임 프로그램을 1일 30분이내, 주 5회, 3주간 실시하였다. 대조군은 자전거 운동과 보행훈련으로 30분간 시행하였다. 실험 전 후 눈뜨고 외발서기(OLST; open leg standing test), Timed Up and Go(TUG) 검사, 10m 걷기 검사, Functional Independence Measure(FIM)를 측정하였다. 실험 전과 실험 후 측정값의 차이를 비교하기 위해 Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test를 실시하였다. 그리고 각 측정값의 변화량에 대한 실험군과 대조군 사이의 차이를 알아보기 위해 Mann-Whitney U Test를 실시하였다. 연구결과: 실험결과는 다음과 같다. 1) 실험군에서는 FIM의 유의한 증가와 TUG, 10m 걷기 검사의 유의한 감소를(p<.05) 보였다. 대조군에서는 OLST의 증가와 TUG, 10m walking test의 감소가 나타났지만 통계적으로 유의하지 않았다. 오직 FIM에서만 유의한 증가가 나타났다(p<.05). 2) 실험 전 후의 실험군과 대조군의 각 측정값들의 평균차를 비교한 결과 실험군은 대조군보다 실험 전 후 OLST, TUG, 10m walking test 차이의 평균은 컸지만 통계적으로 유의하지 않았다. 결론: 이상의 결과로부터 가상현실기반 비디오게임이 만성기 뇌졸중 환자의 동적균형능력 및 일상생활동작 향상에 효과가 있음을 알 수 있었다.

Effects of Wheat Flour Ferment Cultured by Lactobacillus acidophilus on the Physical Properties of Cooked Noodles (Lactobacillus acidophilus를 배양한 밀가루 발효물이 면의 물리적 특성에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was carried out to examine the effects of wheat flour ferment cultured by Lactobacillus acidophilus on the physical characteristics of cooked noodle. Different scanning calorimeter(DSC) analysis results for noodle gelatinization showed that the noodles containing flour ferment had higher enthalphy values than the control noodle. And based on the degree of retrogradation for the noodles containing the flour ferment, enthalpy decreased as the amount of the ferment increased, resulting in the delay effect on the retrogradation. According to textural property evaluations over a storage period, the noodles containing the flour ferment had increases in hardness and cohesiveness, and the springiness of the control group was higher than that of the noodles containing the flour ferment; however, this difference between groups gradually disappeared with increasing storage time. Finally, the noodles containing 10% flour ferment had a higher overall preference score than the control group, indicating that the addition of the flour ferment during noodle production can have a beneficial effect on the preference.

  • Carbofuran was incubated for four weeks in five types of paddy soil samples at $25^{\circ}C$. The soil samples prepared in the study were as follows : control soil, sterilized soil, 10% cellulose added soil, 10% cellulose and 1% ferrous sulfate added soil, and 10% cellulose and 1% magnesium sulfate added soil. The degradation rate of carbofuran was significantly decreased(p<0.05) in sterilized soil.The degradation rate of carbofuran was significantly decreased by addition of cellulose(p<0.05) in femous sulfate added soil and magnesium sulfate added soil(p<0.01).

Ecological Study on Aquatic Plant Communities in the Stream of Thermal Wastewater (온배수 유입하천에 형성된 수생식물군집의 생태학적 연구)

  • The seasonal changes of the flora at three samples sites such as Sockchong, Wang-gung and Chukrim hot spring by drained thermal waters were investigated from 1997 to 1998. Monthly occurrence of plant species in February and October showed more abundantly control site than that of heavy and/or light polluted sites. This trend demonstrated similarly in terms of seasonal changes of leaf area and plant growths, both fresh and dry weight, too. Cu, Zn, Ni and Pb content including plants from Sockchong hot spring site were increased from April to September at test area than that of control, while that was decreased in October. But Zn and Pb content holding plants from Wang-gung hot spring site represented higher test site than that of control. In short impacts on aquatic plants communities by thermal wastewater of sampled area have happened in the season of low temperature, and their restorations have done in summer season.

  • Effects of Coix lachryma-jobi var. mayuen stapf. ext. on lipidlowering and serum glucose were investigated in hyperlipidemic rat. Concentration of glucose and triglyceride in plasma showed a tendence to decrease in Coix lachryma-jobi var. mayuen stapf. ext. groups. However the values of 100mg/kg treatment group showed no significant difference in control group. Plasma total cholesterol and LDL-chol. showed a low values than those of control group. However HDL-chol. showed no significant difference in all treatment groups, Concentration of liver total cho. and triglyceride showed a tendence to decrease in Coix lachryma-jobi var. mayuen stapf. ext. groups. Concentration of plasma and liver TBARS showed a low values in Coix lachryma-jobi var. mayuen stapf. ext. groups. The values of GSH-Px, SOD and CAT activity showed a tendence to increase in the Coix lachryma-jobi var. mayuen stapf. ext. groups.

Quantitative Analysis of Spatial Resolution for the Influence of the Focus Size and Digital Image Post-Processing on the Computed Radiography (CR(Computed Radiography)에서 초점 크기와 디지털영상후처리에 따른 공간분해능의 정량적 분석)

  • The aim of the present study was to carry out quantitative analysis of spatial resolution for the influence of the focus size and digital image post-processing on the Computed Radiography (CR). The modulation transfer functions of an edge measuring method (MTF) was used for the evaluation of the spatial resolution. The focus size of X-ray tube was used the small focus (0.6 mm) and the large focus (1.2 mm). We evaluated the 50% and 10% of MTF for the enhancement of edge and contrast by using multi-scale image contrast amplification (MUSICA) in digital image post-processing. As a results, the edge enhancement than the contrast enhancement were significantly higher the spatial resolution of MTF 50% in all focus. Also the spatial resolution of the obtained images in a large focus were improved by digital image processing. In conclusion, the results of this study should serve as a basic data for obtain the high resolution clinical images, such as skeletal and chest images on the CR.

Effect of MA Packaging on Quality of 'Fuji' Apple (MA저장법이 '후지' 사과의 품질에 미치는 영향)

  • To investigate the effect of funcitional MA film 0.3 mm and control(non-pack) during 24 weeks of storage on 'Fuji' apple, the weight loss, firmness, a titratable acidity, soluble solid content(SSC $^{\circ}Brix$) and the rate of decay were measured. After 20 week storage, weight loss was $4.65\%$ in control, but $0.31\%$ in 0.03 mm funcitional MA film. The titratable acidity, soluble solid content and firmness were changed a little. The rate of decay was $4.2\%$ in control, and $1.1\%$ in funcitional MA film.

감잎 품종별 성분분석과 항산화활성 비교

  • 품종별 감잎의 주요성분과 항산화 활성을 비교하여 고기능성 감잎차의 우수성을 알리는 기초자료로 활용하고자 이 실험을 수행하였다. 상주둥시, 갑주백목, 월하시, 청도반시, 녹차(대조구)의 생엽을 7월 초순에 채엽 후 건조시켜 시료로 사용하였고, 비타민C, 카페인, 카테친, Gallic acid, 향기성분, 유리당, 유리아미노산, 칼슘, 항산화 활성을 조사하였다. 비타민C는 월하시 0.089%, 청도반시 0.079%, 갑주배목 0.032%, 상주둥시 0.015%, 녹차 0.01%로 비타민C 함량이 가장 많은 월하시가 녹차에 비해 8배정도 높았고, 카페인은 감잎 4품종 모두 발견되지 않았고, 녹차는 6.63%이었다. 카테친은 청도반시 0.35%, 갑주백목 0.34%, 월하시 0.24%, 상주둥시 0.18%, 녹차(대조구) 0.07%이였고, Gallic acid는 상주 둥시 0.32%, 갑주백옥 0.2%, 월하시 0.05%, 청도반시 0.03%, 녹차(대조구) 1.41%이었다. 칼슘은 청도반시 9516.1PPM, 영동월하시 6863.5PPM, 봉옥 6563.5PPM, 상주둥시 5420.1PPM, 녹차(대조구) 2349.7PPM이였고, 유리당은 감품종간에는 큰 차이는 없었으나 녹차에 비해 Xylose, fructose, Glucose, Sucrose의 함량이 높았고, Maltose의 함량에 일어서는 녹차가 높았다. 유리아미노산은 31항목을 조사하였고, 전체 함량은 상주둥시 60.40, 봉옥 53.21, 월하시 52.29, 청도반시 47.58, 녹차(대조구) 114.72nmo1/${\mu}\ell$이었다. 시료의 향기성분은 생엽을 건조시켜 전자코를 이용하여 분석하였고, 감잎 품종간에는 향기 패턴이 비슷한 경향이였으나, 녹차의 패턴과는 차이가 있었다. 감잎의 DPPH radical 소거활성은 상주둥시 RC$_{50}$($\mu\textrm{g}$)=64.5 청도반시 64.0, 월하시 42.0, 갑주백목 47.0, 녹차(대조구) 19.0으로 김잎품종중 월하시의 항산화 활성이 높았고, 녹차의 항산화 활성이 감잎에 비해 높았다.

Effects of Ultrasonic Treatment Time on the Quality and Palatability of fried Chicken Meat (초음파 처리시간이 튀김 계육의 품질 및 기호성에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the effect of ultrasonic treatmeat time on the quality and palatability of fried chicken meat. Moisture content, U-10 treatment (chicken meat treated by ultrasonification for 10 minutes) of breast and leg were lower than those of the control, protein contents were not different between samples. Fat content was higher with increasing ultrasonic treated time. Frying loss of ultrasonic treated breast and leg were lower than those of the control, water holding capacity of ultrasonic treated breast and leg were higher than those of the control with increasing ultrasonic treated time. Rheological textures between control and ultrasonic treated samples were not different. L* value(lightness) between control and ultrasonic treated samples were not different, but L* values of breast were higher than those of the leg. And a* value(redness) was not effect by ultrasonic treatment, but a* value of leg were higher than those of the breast. Amino acid composition has included many glutamic acid, aspartic acid, lysine, leucine and arginine. Oleic acid and linoleic acid occupied beyond 50% of fatty acid composition. And taste, texture, juiciness and palatability improved with increasing ultrasonic treated time.

Effect of Functional MA Packaging Film on Freshness Extension of #Fuji# Apples (기능성 MA 포장재가 #후지# 사과의 신선도에 미치는 영향)

  • To investigate the effect of packaging condition on functional MA films laminated (30CE, 50CE), corrugated paperboard box (control), 30LDPE, and 50LDPE pouches on the freshness extension of Fuji apples, the weight loss, firmness, total ascorbic acid, titratable acidity, soluble solids content and appearence were evaluated at 5$^{\circ}C$ after 75 days. Weight loss of 30CE and 50CE, and 30LD and 50LD was 0.4 to 0.5%, and 0.2%, but control was 2.7%. Firmness in film packages was higher than that of control, and CE packagings were higher than LD. Total ascorbic acid content of Fuji apple in control after 75 days was 2.12 mg%, that of control was decreased by 42%, those of LD packagings were 31% and 29%, and those of CE were 24% and 22%. Titratable acidity and soluble solids content in control changed more than that of MA film packagings. Overall appearence of 'Fuji' apples in CE packagings was better than that of control.
