Growth and Etching of Epitaxial Layer and Polysilicon for the Selective Epitaxy (선택적 에피택시를 위한 에피택셜층 및 폴리실리콘의 성장과 에칭)

  • An investigation has been made on the growth phenomena of epitaxial layer and polysilicon from SiH2 Cl2 in H2 and the etch phenomena of them from HCI in H2, at the system pressures of 1.0 atm (atmospheric process) and 0.1 attn (reduced pressure process). From the experimental equations for the growth rates and etch rates. the relevant process conditions for the selective epitaxy are predicted for the case of using mixtures of SiH2Cl2 and HCI in H2. As a result, it is found that selective epitaxial growth region exists in the concentration range investigated for the reduced pressure process but it does not for the atmospheric Process. This is due to the differences in the growth rates and etch rates at atmospheric and reduced pressure.

  • The wear behavior of SiC in SiC-steel sliding couple was investigated under various wear test conditions, such as solid state sliding - dry and wet air atmosphere - or lubricated sliding, sliding velocity and at-mosphere temperature. The effect of SiC fabrication process on the SiC wear rate was also studied under varying sliding velocities. Humidity of air plays a lubricating role in the solid state sliding, while the wear behavior is largely influenced by the sliding velocity, especially if the atmosphere is extremely dry. The fa-brication process of SiC and the surface roughness result in different wear rate depending on the magnitude of sliding velocity. High temperature is, among others, the most deteriorating factor of wear, thus being strongly wear-accelerating even under boundary lubrication.

Atmospheric corrosion rate and corrosivity categories of industrial metals in Asan area (아산지역에서 산업재료의 대기부식속도 측정)

  • The atmospheric corrosion rate were measured in Asan area for four years according to ISO 9224. The tested metals chosen as the most frequently used in industry, aluminum were copper, carbon steel, weathgering steel, and galvanized steel. The assessed corrosivity categories was 3 in average. The corrosivity categories of asan area was higher than typical rural area and even urban area, whereas it slightly lower than marine area. The results were discussed, specially as the regional climatic characteristics.

  • 인간의 활동에 의해 생성되고 배출되는 휘발성유기화합물질(VOCs : Volatile Organic Compounds)들의 대기화학적 역할과 그 중요성은 최근 많은 나라에서 커다란 관심의 대상이 되고 있다. 산림은 대기 중으로 유입되는 자연 VOC(NVOC)의 주요 배출원이다. 우리나라의 경우 산림과 농경지가 각각 전국토의 65%, 20%를 차지한다는 점을 감안하면 산림이 NVOC의 주요 배출원일 것으로 추정할 수 있으며 특히, 반응성이 강한 탄화수소의 배출원이란 점은 중요한 의미를 지닌다. 전 세계적으로 NVOC의 배출량이 인위적인 것의 약 7배 정도에 이를 것으로 추정되고 있다.   • 건식 침적은 오염물질의 물리 화학적 특성과 기상상태(온도, 풍속, 대기안정도 등)와 표면 특성의 함수이다. 건식 침적은 크게 가스상 침적과 입자상 침적으로 나뉘어 지며, 입자상 침적은 다시 중력침강에 주로 영향을 받는 조대입자 영역과 브라운 운동에 주로 영향을 받는 미세 입자 영역으로 나뉘어 질 수 있다. 건식 침적량은 일반적으로 이론적인 건식 침적 속도와 실측된 대기 농도로부터 추정되어지거나 혹은 대체 표면 측정과 같은 직접적인 측정방법을 이용하여 산출되어진다. (중략)

연강용접 이음의 해수 중에서의 부식피로강도에 대하여

  • 이 논문에서는 먼저 연강 모재에 대해서 여러 가지의 반복 속도로 대기 중과 해수 중 및 3% Nacl 용액 중에서의 피로시험을 실시하고, 피로 균열 발생수명 및 전파수명에 미치는 속도의 영향을 검사함과 동시에 피로수명의 추정법에 대해서 해설한다. 그리고 연강의 완전용입 용접 이음의 toe 부에 대하여 추정한 피로 균열 발생수명과, 파랑주기에 가까운 10cpm의 반복 속도에서 피로시험을 실시하여 구한 수명과를 비교한 결과에 대해서도 소개하고자 한다.

  • COSMOS(Cycle, Offset, Split Model for Seoul), a real-time traffic adaptive signal system. estimates queue lengths on each approach on the basis of arithmetic average spot speeds calculated on loop detectors installed at each of two adjacent lanes. In this paper, A new method, a traffic volume-weighted average method, was studied and compared with the existing arithmetic average method. It was found that the relationship between the ratio of volumes of two lanes and the difference of average speed of each lane has a linear form. With field data, The two methods were applied and the proposed method shows more stable and reasonable queue estimation results.

  • The concentrations of gaseous ammonia and particulate ammonium emitted from a urea plan were measured, and the conversion rate of ammonia to ammonium was estimated. The conversion of ammonia to ammonium has two stages with transport time in the atmosphere. In the initial 15min the conversion rate was 3.2% min$^{-1}$, and thereafter 0.26% min$^{-1}$. The high conversion rate of ammonia to ammonium at the initial period of it's transport might be due to the dissolution of ammonia into water droplets formed by the decrease in temperature of the stack effluent. The concentration of ammonium is further increased by the decomposition of urea in alkaline droplet formed. Half-lives of ammonia gas at initial and latter slag were 16 min and 192 min respectively. No correlation of particulate ammonium concentration to temperature, relative humidity, and concentrations of sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides and airborne particulate matter were found in this field measurement.
