고분자가 절연재료로서 사용되는 이유는 전기를 통하지 않는 절연특성을 지니고 있기 때문이며 이러한 성질은 고분자가 금속재료와 구별되는 가장 큰 특징이다. 그러나 1964년 W. A. Little 이 발표한 공액 이중결합구조를 가진 화합물은 전도성 고분자가 될 수 있다는 가설을 바탕으로 전도성 고분자에 관한 많은 연구가 진행 중에 있다. 전도성 고분자는 절연체로서의 응용에만 한정되어왔던 기존 고분자물질들과 달리 가볍고 저렴하며 단일결합과 이중결합을 교대로 하고 있는 공액 고분자 구조를 가지고 있어 다양한 화학적 합성방법에 의해 전기전도도, 유전상수, 결정 등의 물리적 성질을 조절할 수 있으며, 금속의 전기적, 자기적, 광학적 특성과 고분자의 기계적 성질을 동시에 가지므로 배터리, 축전기, 트랜지스터, 광전소자, 전자파 차폐제 등 플라스틱 전자소재의 실용적으로 인해 산업체에서도 높은 관심의 대상이다. It is well know that optical oupler that is composed of the polished single-mode optical fiber can separate two arbitrary wave lengths. Wavelength division ranges of the WDM optical coupler that is made of the bending fiber with radius R vary with the center wavelength of the signal and spacing between two cores. In this paper, when optical fiber is fixed with the radius R, We proposed the spacing between two cores that can provide minimum division range. Also, We proposed the minimum radius R necessary to separate two arbitary wavelengths of the signal.

신경트리(evolutionary neural trees)는 트리 구조의 신경망 모델로서 진화 알고리즘으로 학습하기에 적합한 구조이다. 본 연구에서는 진화 신경트리를 시계열 예측에 적용하였다. 시계열 데이터는 대개 잡음이 포함되어 있으며 동역학적인 특성을 지닌다. 본 논문에서는 견고한 예측 결과를 획득하기 위해 한 개의 신경트리가 아닌 여러개의 신경트리를 결합하여 예측 모델을 구성하는 committee machine을 소개한다. 출력 패턴가에 correlation이 최소가 되도록 상이한 신경트리를 선택하여 결합함으로써 모델 결합 효과를 최대화하는 방법을 사용하였다. 인공적인 잡음을 포함한 시계열 예측 문제와 실세계 데이터에 대한 실험에서 예측에 대한 정확도가 단일 모델을 사용한 경우 보다 향상되었다.

단일모드 광섬유에서 박막도파로로 효율적인 광신호의 전송은 집적광학에서 해결해야 할 중요한 문제이다. 본 연구에서는 필드 프로필의 불일치를 피하고, 높은 광 결합 효율을 갖을 수 있는 광섬유-박마도파로 결합구조를 제안하였다. 광섬유와 박막 도파로의 경계에서의 필드프로필의 커다란 불일치는 박막도파로의 위에 의도적으로 성장시킨 결합도파로를 이용하여 효율적으로 피할 수 있었다.

Center of photon mass, defined as the center of axial photon distribution in each half, is proposed as a unified design parameter in quarter wavelength shifted(QWS) DFB lasers. Shown is the way the parameter is related to the threshold pain difference and uniformity in axial photon density, which determine single-frequency stability of DFB lasers. Also, a general rule for single-frequency DFB laser design is presented. Using the design rule, we propose a sampled grating QWS-DFB laser that has a wider $_KL$ range 0f 100% single-frequency yield.

저출력 다이오드 여기 레이저에서는 공간모드 특성을 좋게하고 여기 효율을 올리기 위하여 단면 여기 방식을 주로 사용한다. 특히 레이저 다이오드 (LD)로 여기하는 단일모드 녹색광 레이저는 홀로그램, 간섭계, 측정기 등의 응용분야에서 수요가 날로 증가하고 있다. 단일모드 녹색광 레이저의 발진방법으로는 여러 가지가 고안되어 왔다. 먼저 공진기 내부에 얇은 판을 브루스터 (Brewster) 각으로 두어서 편광시키고 이것을 복굴절특성을 가진 Nd：YVO$_4$ 결정과 결합시켜 복굴절 필터 기능을 하게 하는 방법이 있다. (중략)

본 논문에서는 멀티모달 생체인식 시나리오 중에서, 단일 생체 특징에 적용되는 다중 획득 및 매칭이 시스템 성능에 기여하는 효과에 대하여 논의한다. 얼굴이라는 단일 생체 검중 시스템에 본 논문에서 제안한 간단한 다중 획득 및 매칭 결합 방법론들을 적용하였고, 실제적인 평가모델과 데이터베이스를 구축하여 이를 실험하고 결과를 분석하였다 실험결과, 단일 획득 및 매칭 시스템보다 25％ 가량 향상된 우수한 성능을 나타냈으며, 이는 얼굴 검증 시스템 구축에 있어 반드시 고려되어야 할 사항 중에 하나임을 보여준다.

This work proposes a novel coupled line coupler structure based on the asymmetric cascaded connection of coupled lines. The proposed structure can be designed in smaller size than conventional single section coupled line couplers. Also, the additional design freedom offered by the proposed structure can serve many useful purposes such as the output phase control or the flexible coupler layout for complex circuit routing environments.

A novel narrowband wavelength bandpass filter with a large side-lobe suppression was proposed in vertical coupler structure using coupling variation in propagation direction. Combination of a half sinusoidal distributed and a slow coupling schmes was used for narrow bandwidth and small side-lobes. Simulation showed 1.5 nm passband at 1.5507 $\mu\textrm{m}$ and the side-lobes were suppressed more than 20 dB which is two times larger than that of a constant coupling filter. A monolithic two-channel wavelength demultiplexer was proposed and theoretically investigated.

The present study was undertaken to determine the dissociation constant (Kd)of monoclonal antibody to human apolipoprotein A-I (apo A-I) using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). First the monoclonal antibody was incubated in solution with the antigen until the equilibrium was reached; then the free antibody which remains unsaturated at equilibrium was captured by binding to antigen on the microtiter plate and be measured by a classical indirect ELISA. The value of Kd determined from Scatchard plot was 0.625$\times$10^{-9}$ for purified antibody and 0.720$\times$10$^{-9}$ for unpurified antibody. This method was valuable for the measurement of true dissociation constant and found to be simple, reproducible, and accurate.
