The SMS(Short Message Service) in Mobile phone is a service that a text message by 80byte is transmitted and received. Recently it's used instead of voice calls. In this paper, We investigate how you take advantage of the SMS for searching information without simply as a means of voice call, and how much efficiency does the SMS have in Location Information Retrieval Services on LBS(Location-based service). Based on the previous topics, we design the information retrieval system using SMS for solveing the rates issue by existing wireless Internet access, and propose the possibility as new forms of content services.

무선 단문전송 서비스(SMS : Short Message Service)란 이동 통신 세계화 시스템의 규격을 따른 무선 호출 서비스로 별도의 부가장비 없이도 40자 내외의 짧은 문장을 주고받을 수 있는 문자 서비스이다. 휴대전화의 보급이 급속도로 확산되면서 이에 비례해 문자 서비스 이용 인구도 급속히 늘어나고 있는데, 이메일과 달리 발송 시점과 거의 동시에 내용 전달이 가능하기 때문에 현재 통신수단의 하나로 이미 확고한 자리를 굳힌 상태다. 또한 근래에는 산업현장에서도 알람이나 FAULT정보 등의 신속한 전달을 위해 SMS에 대한 요구가 높아지고 있다. 이러한 시장의 동향에 따라 본 연구소에서는 산업 현장에서 알람이나 알림, 시스템 FAULT등 긴급한 사항에 대한 단문전송 프로그램을 개발하게 되었다.

단문 메시지 서비스(Short Message Service)는 짧은 길이의 텍스트 메시지를 이동 단문 단말들간에 전송하는 데이터 서비스이다. 이 서비스는 통화로를 직접적으로 이용하지 않으며 구현과 이용이 쉽고 다양한 부가서비스를 제공할 수 있다 본 논문에서는 단문메시지를 상용 CDMA 망에 구현한 예를 제시하고자 한다. 단문 메시지 센터를 도입하고 메시지 서버를 개발하였으며 기존 이동전화 망의 프로토콜을 단문 메시지 서비스를 위해서 개선하였다 이 프로토콜을 교환기와 이동가입자 위치등록기등의 CDMA 망에 적용하였다.

At the present, Short Messaging Transfer Protocol Standard described under TIA/EIA/IS-637-A does not cover the measures for security at all. Sequentially, in case of necessity, it seems to be a better idea that security functions are made up for current short messaging transfer protocol. This paper proposes security mechanisms including algorithms and protocols for Short Messaging Services(SMS) which present not only high levels of confidentiality and integrity but also appropriate level of authentication.

최근 네트워크 고속화로 인한 무선 정보전송의 이용이 다양해져 이동국과 이동전화 교환기간 문제가 생긴 중계기를 발견할 수 있다. 이러한 문제 발생시 문제 사항들을 감시하여 적절한 조치를 취할 수 있도록 도와주는 모니터링 시스템이 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 중계기에 리눅스 임베디드 운영체제를 장치한 장비를 통해 네트워크 관리 프로토콜인 SNMP를 이용하여 중계기 사망을 감시하고 CDMA의 단문 메시지 서비스를 통해 관리자와 중계기간에 정보를 네트워크 상으로 전달될 수 있도록 설계하였다. 이에 중개기상의 SNMP 데이터 패킷을 CDMA 방식의 SMS로 변환하여 관리자의 시스템으로 메시지를 전달하는 모니터링 시스템 설계를 제안한다.

이동통신 시스템에서 가입자수가 증가하고 다양한 서비스가 구현됨으로써 전체적인 장비 또는 자원에 대한 부하가 증가하고 있다. 특히, 셀의 반경이 작아지고 단문(Short Message)을 활용한 다양한 부가 서비스가 개발됨으로써 이와 관련된 정보를 전달하는 페이징 메시지의 분류도 복잡해지고 페이징 채널의 부하도 커지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 먼저, 이동통신시스템에서 페이징 패널의 구조와 역할을 분석하고 페이징 채널에서 전송하는 메시지를 그 기능과 특성에 따라 분류한다. 긴급하게 전송되어야 하는 메시지를 보호하기 위한 우선권 부여 방법을 모색하고, 각 방법에 있어서 메시지 종류별 전송지연시간(Delay)을 수리적으로 도출하고 결과를 비교한다.

Cell Broadcast Service (CBS)는 제어 채널을 사용하는 셀 지정 단문 방송형 서비스이며 다수의 사람들에게 일정 크기의 문자정보를 특정 서비스 영역으로 전송하는 서비스 방식을 의미한다. CBS를 이용하면 특정 정보를 빠르고 저렴하게 전달할 수 있기때문에 광고나 정보 서비스에 활용될 수 있으나 국내에서는 재난정보 전달을 위한 수단으로 이용되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 4G 및 5G 망에서 CBS를 이용하여 재난정보를 전송하기 위해 사용되는 시스템 파라미터 및 변경점에 대해 살펴본다. 또한, 한국과 미국에서 재난정보 구분을 위해 사용하는 메시지 식별자의 비교를 통해 긴급재난문자의 문제점을 분석한다.

인스턴트 메신저는 데스크탑 PC뿐 아니라 PDA, 핸드헬드 PC 같은 개인용 무선정보기기에서도 활발하게 이용되고 있다. 그러나 대부분의 메신저가 데스크탑 환경을 고려한 기능을 그대로 사용하기 때문에 이동성이 있는 무선 환경에서는 활용성이 떨어지고, 사용하기에 불편한 단점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 리눅스 환경에서 사용자 음성인증로그인, RF 모듈을 이용한 자리비움 자동변환, 단문메시지서비스(Short Message Service) 등 무선 환경에서 필요한 기능을 제공하여 사용자 편리성을 제고한 무선 인스턴트 메시징 시스템의 설계와 구연에 대해 기술한다. 구현된 시스템은 과일전송과 단문메시지서비스를 위한 재버(Jabber) 기반의 프록시와 SMS 송신모듈을 갖는 서버와 USM(Ubiquitous, Smart, Mobile) 클라이언트로 구성된다. USM 클라이언트는 본 논문에서 라이트 XML 파서를 내장하여 메시지 통신시 클라이언트의 작업량을 크게 줄여 우선 클라이언트 프로그램의 최적화를 꾀하였다.

Recently, the most remarkable word is 'ubiuuitous' in field of information and communication. Ubiquitous has a meaning 'exist everywhere' that means our daily life is connect as network. It means we can get the information which in need whenever and wherever with safety. We predict this word will be symbolical keyword which lead an information-oriented society including the internet a quite long it. It's already per-meate to us the Ubiquitous. It's taken by CCTV when we visit bank. It's made to us can know the fastest way the GPS system to be connected by an artificial satcllite on mobile, and many people use mobile and PDA for investment in stocks. Among them, it has begun to spread many mobile services to us. In this paper, it's the aim a creation of value added through an efficient mobile services to use wireless internet different with previous way, cutting down on expenses and business modeling.

The social networking service (SNS) is free, but the data usage fee paid to the telecommunications company and the member's information must be provided directly or indirectly. In addition, while SNS' specifications for transmitting and receiving devices such as smart-phones and PCs are increasing day by day, using universal transmission protocols in special environments such as contaminated areas or semiconductor manufacturing plants where work instructions are mainly made using short messages is not easy. It is not free and has a problem of weak security. This paper verified the practicality through the operation test by implementing IMCP, a low-power, low-cost message transmission protocol that aims to be wearable in special environments such as risk, pollution, and clean zone based on ATmega128.
