Analysis on User Sensitive Evaluations of Disposable and Reusable Sanitary Pads (일회용 및 다회용 생리대의 소비자 사용 평가)

  • Menstruation being an inevitable phenomenon for every women, reducing the discomfort during the menstruation period is one of the important issues for women's well-being. This study was conducted through user evaluations on disposable pads and reusable pads to comprehend the discomfort factors of the sanitary pads and to provide basic information for improvement. Negative symptoms of the reponses on menstruation outnumbered the positive aspects, and the results suggested that menstruation period was perceived as a painful experience to women. There were difference between the negative and positive responses regarding the designs, functions, fittings, wearing sensations. and disposabilities of disposable pads and reusable pads. While disposable pads had the strength of convenient use, it had the weakness of wearing sensation, and while reusable pads had the strength of wearing sensation, it had the weakness of inconvenient keeping. When designs reflecting these results are made, it is expected to bring a synergy effect by bringing both a more pleasant menstruation period for the consumers and eventual profit to the manufacturers.

The in-use stability study of multi-use ophthalmic solutions -Focused on Olopatadine, Fluorometholone, Dorzolamide, Timolol- (다회용 점안제의 개봉 후 안정성 평가 -올로파타딘, 플루오로메톨론, 도르졸라미드, 티몰롤 약물 중심-)

  • Multi-use ophthalmic solutions are used many times after opening; therefore, there is a high possibility of decreased quality during use. This study was conducted to determine the recommended use period of multi-use ophthalmic solutions based on evaluation of the stability by comparing stability evaluation regulations of the USA, EU and Korea We selected four types of multi-use ophthalmic solutions (Olopatadine (Olo), Fluorometholone (Flu), Dorzolamide (Dor), Timolol (Timol)) that are frequently marketed in Korea and evaluated their stability during storage according to the actual usage method after opening. The Olo had a decrease in assay and preservative content at 2 months after opening, while Flu showed a significant difference from day 28 after opening. For Dor, significant differences were observed from day 14 after opening in the assay and impurity test item and Timol showed a significant difference from day 28 after opening. Based on the results of the stability test Olo and Flu should only be used within 28 days of opening, while Dor and Timol should be used within 14 days of opening. Therefore, we suggest that regulations system related use periods of multi-use ophthalmic solutions designed as aseptic preparations should be improved based on the results of stability tests after opening.

  • 지구온난화로 인한 갑작스런 기후 변화로, 예측 불가한 비가 내리는 일이 늘어나고 있음에 따라 일회용 우산의 구매 또한 증가하고 있다. 일회용 우산의 비닐이 썩는데만 약 100년이 걸리고, 불법 소각 시엔 공기를 오염시키는 유해성분을 배출하게 된다. 본 연구는 다회용 우산을 공유하여, 위와 같은 나비효과를 줄이는 데에 중점을 둔다. 사용하지 않는 우산을 대여소가 어디든 기부할 수 있게 하여 남는 우산을 무심코 버리는 일이 없게 하고, 사용자가 가까운 대여소를 추천받고 선택하여 원하는 위치에서 우산 대여를 할 수 있게 하여 불 필요한 지출을 줄이게 한다.

Comparison of Commercial Multi-use Mask Patterns for Korean Adult Women

  • This study attempted to compare and analyze the commercially available multi-use patterns to develop mask patterns suitable for the face types of adult women. Through this, it was intended to provide necessary data to mask pattern development and products. As a results of comparing the dimensions and shapes of commercial multi-use mask patterns, there was a significant difference in dimensions even though it was a L-size mask manufactured for adults. As a result of the appearance evaluation of the virtual outfit, there were significant differences by design in the vertical of the center front line, the cover and space of the mask, the height of the nose, and the lower part of the mask. The side also showed significant differences in the covering of the side of the face, the space of the side, and the width and length of the string. As a result of the appearance evaluation, Mask 4 received the best evaluation. The shape of the mask pattern had a large dart in the lower part of the nose so that it can cover the three-dimensional shape of the face, but there was a difference in the degree and angle of the curve depending on the mask. Although the upper part of the mask, the lower part of the mask, and the cheek part are in close contact, the evaluation of the mask pattern, which has room in the nose and mouth, was high. It is thought that the mask pattern should be set according to the upper length, lower length, and nose height of the mask through analysis of the face shape and dimensions.

  • 현재 과학의 발전과 과도한 화석연료의 사용 등으로 지구온난화가 현상이 심해져 지구의 온도가 올라가고 있다. 이를 막기 위해 온실가스의 배출량을 줄여야 한다. 본 논문에서는 지구환경 보호를 위하여 플라스틱 대신 텀블러 사용, 다회용 장바구니 사용, 대중교통 대신 걷기, 채식 등 총 4가지의 인증 기능을 구현하는 어플리케이션을 개발하였다. 이런 인증 기능은 환경 보호를 위한 포인트 제도와 연동하여 적용하였다. 텀블러 인증을 위해 영수증 텍스트 추출 알고리즘을 사용하였고, 걸음 수 감지를 위해 가속도 센서를 활용하여 걸음을 측정하였다. 개발된 어플리케이션은 대중이 일상생활에서 환경보호에 관심을 갖고 실천하는데 도움과 동기를 부여할 수 있다.

A Comparison of Performance Evaluations of Reusable Masks (다회용 마스크 유형에 따른 성능 비교연구)

  • Objectives: This study was designed to evaluate the filtration efficiency, inhalation resistance, and liquid resistance of commercial reusable masks in comparison to the performance of KF-AD masks (reference masks). Methods: Thirty-six masks were purchased from an online market. Filtration efficiency and inhalation resistance were determined in the same manner as in MFDS certification testing, respectively using TIL/IL & Filter Test 1300S (SFP Services, UK) and Breathing Resistance Analyzer DA2001 (Lambda Ray, South Korea). Results: Most of the filtration efficiencies found for the 19 masks were far lower than the test standard for KF-certified masks. Four masks met KF94 and three masks even met KF80. Most inhalation resistances were also much lower than the standard, with many almost one-half of the standard. In addition, all the masks except KF-AD masks did not pass the liquid resistance test. Conclusions: Although most of the filtration efficiency performance results found in this study for the reusable masks, which emerged as an alternative, were lower than the standard for health masks, multi-use masks can be used with a replacement filter inserted.
