Multi-hop Relay 기반 협력 통신 기술

  • MIMO 기술은 데이터 전송률을 증대시키고 수신 성능을 향상시킬 수 있는 다중 안테나 기술로써 각광받아왔다. 그러나 단말 크기의 제한으로 인하여 구현에 큰 어려움이 따르게 되었고 이를 해결하기 위해서 하나의 안테나를 갖고 있는 단말간 서로 협력(cooperation) 하여 데이터 전송률을 높이고 수신 성능을 향상시키기 위한 연구가 논의되고 있다. 특히 ad-hoc 이나 mesh 네트워크에서의 다중 홉 기술을 기반으로 단말간 서로 협력하여 채널 용량을 늘리고 수신 성능을 향상시키기 위한 다양한 연구가 진행 중이다. 본 고에서는 다중 홉 중계 기술에 대한 기본적인 개념과 협력 통신 기술, 그리고 IEEE 802.16j 표준화 동향에 대해 살펴본다. 이론적인 채널 용량 분석과 중계(relay)의 목적에 대해 알아보고 중계 기법에 따른 채널 용량을 분석한다. 더 나아가 다중 홉 중계 전송 기법의 성능을 분석하고 다중 홉 지원을 위한 표준화 동향 및 프레임 구조를 알아본다. 마지막으로 다이버시티 이득과 다중화 이득을 얻을 수 있는 협력통신 기술에 대해 살펴본다.

Efficient Radio Resource Allocation for Cognitive Radio Based Multi-hop Systems (다중 홉 무선 인지 시스템에서 효과적인 무선 자원 할당)

  • In this paper, a radio resource allocation scheme for a multi-hop relay transmission in cognitive radio (CR) system is proposed to support the employment of relay nodes in IEEE 802.22 standard for wireless regional area network (WRAN). An optimization problem is formulated to maximize the number of serving secondary users (SUs) under system constraints such as time-divided frame structure for multiplexing and a single resource-unit to every relay-hop. However, due to mathematical complexity, the optimization problem is solved with a sub-optimal manner instead, which takes three steps in the order of user selection, relay/path selection, and frequency selection. In the numerical analysis, this proposed solution is evaluated in terms of service rate denoting as the ratio of the number of serving SUs to the number of service-requesting SUs. Simulation results show the condition of adopting multi-hop relay and the optimum number of relaying hops by comparing with the performance of 1-hop system.

Study on Relaying Path Selection Using One-Hop Channel Information in Decode-and-Forward Relaying Based Multi-Hop Systems (디코딩 후 전달 중계 기반 다중 홉 시스템에서 하나의 홉 채널 정보를 이용하는 중계 경로 선택 기법 연구)

  • In this paper, the outage probability of efficient partial relay selection(EPRS) using only one-hop channel information in multi-hop systems is analyzed in Rayleigh fading channels. In particular, we derive an exact and closed-form expression for the outage probability of decode-and-forward relaying based EPRS. In order to prove the usefulness of EPRS in multi-hop systems, we also analyze the correlation between the end-to-end signal-to-noise ratio(SNR) and the SNR for each hop at an arbitrary relaying path. Furthermore, through numerical investigation, we compare the outage performances for EPRS and the best relay selection using all channel information.

  • In this paper, we evaluate the performance of multi-hop transmissions in IEEE 802.15.6 ultra wide band (UWB) wireless body area network (WBAN). The packet structure in the physical layer, and encoding and decoding are considered for multi-hop transmissions in IEEE 802.15.6 UWB WBAN. We analyze the data success rate and energy efficiency of multi-hop transmissions with considering the length of data payload, transmission power, and distances between the nodes in IEEE 802.15.6 UWB WBAN. Through simulations, we evaluate the data success rate and energy efficiency of multi-hop transmissions with varying the length of data payload, transmission power, and distances between the nodes in IEEE 802.15.6 UWB WBAN. Finally, we can select an energy-efficient multi-hop transmission in IEEE 802.15.6 UWB WBAN depending on the length of data payload, transmission power, and distances between the nodes.

  • This paper proposes an adaptive modulation based incremental hop selection scheme which improves network coverage in half-duplex multi-hop networks. The proposed scheme guarantees wide coverage through the operation of multi-hop network while preventing spectral efficiency loss due to the usage of multiple time phases in the half-duplex protocol. Also, we evaluate the average spectral efficiency performance over Nakagami-m fading channel. The simulation results show that the proposed scheme outperforms the existing schemes and the derived evaluation is valid.

  • 최근 오픈 도메인 자연어 질문 응답 분야에서는 폭넓은 다중 문서들을 토대로 다중 홉 추론과 동시에 서로 다른 수준의 여러 문제들을 한꺼번에 해결해야 하는 다중 작업 질문 응답에 관한 관심이 높다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 다중 홉 추론과 다중 작업을 요구하는 복잡 질문들에 효과적으로 응답하기 위해, 계층적 그래프 기반의 새로운 심층 신경망 모델을 제안한다. 제안 모델에서는 계층적 그래프와 그래프 신경망을 이용해 다중 문서들로부터 서로 다른 수준의 맥락 정보를 얻어낸 후, 이들을 활용하여 뒷받침 문장들, 답변 영역, 응답 유형 등을 동시에 구해야 하는 다중 작업 문제에 관한 답들을 예측해낸다. 본 논문에서는 오픈 도메인 자연어 질문 응답 데이터 집합인 HotpotQA를 이용한 실험들을 통해, 제안 모델의 긍정적 효과를 입증한다.

  • Recently, in the field of open domain natural language question answering, multi-task, multi-hop question answering has been studied extensively. In this paper, we propose a novel deep neural network model using hierarchical graphs to answer effectively such multi-task, multi-hop questions. The proposed model extracts different levels of contextual information from multiple paragraphs using hierarchical graphs and graph neural networks, and then utilize them to predict answer type, supporting sentences and answer spans simultaneously. Conducting experiments with the HotpotQA benchmark dataset, we show high performance and positive effects of the proposed model.

  • 본 논문은 에너지 하베스팅을 하는 다수의 중계기를 사용하여 다중 홉 통신을 하는 시스템을 다룬다. 중계기는 파워 비콘에서 보내는 무선 에너지 신호를 이용하여 신호 전송에 필요한 에너지를 얻는다. 신호 전송은 여러 프레임을 통해 이루어 지는데, K 개의 프레임 동안 에너지를 하베스팅하고, 다음 프레임에 다중 홉으로 정보 신호 전송을 한다. 이 때 수신기에서의 불능 확률을 1) K 가 변화할 때, 2) 다중 홉 수 가 변화할 때로 나누어 시뮬레이션 한다.

  • Vehicular cloud computing is a new emerging technology that can provide drivers with cloud services to enable various vehicular applications. A vehicular cloud is defined as a set of vehicles that share their own resources. Vehicles should collaborate with each other to construct vehicular clouds through vehicle-to-vehicle communications. Since collaborating vehicles to construct the vehicular cloud have different speeds, directions and locations respectively, the vehicular cloud is constructed in multi-hop communication range. Due to intermittent wireless connectivity and low density of vehicles with the limited resources, the construction of vehicular cloud with multi-hop communications has become challenging in vehicular environments in terms of the service success ratio, the service delay, and the transmitted packet number. Thus, we propose a multi-hop vehicular cloud construction protocol that increases the service success ratio and decreases the service delay and the transmitted packet number. The proposed protocol uses a connection time-based intermediate vehicle selection scheme to reduce the cloud failure probability of multi-hop vehicular cloud. Simulation results conducted in various environments verify that the proposed protocol achieves better performance than the existing protocol.

A Performance Bound of Mu1ti-hop Mu1ti-Relay Wireless Communication Systems with Optimal Path Selection (다중-홉 다중-릴레이 무선 통신 시스템에서 최적 경로 선택 기법의 성능 한계)

  • Recently, multi-hop relay transmission has drawn much attention owing to its advantage of coverage extension at low power consumption. In this paper, we derive a performance bound of multi-hop communication systems with multiple amplify-and-forward relays when the optimal path is selected. The bound is derived in generalized Nakagami fading channels with different parameters for each hop by applying the geometric mean bound to the path signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and obtaining the moment generation function of the bound. It is shown that the bound based on the geometric mean is closer to the actual performance of optimal path selection when the fading effect is small.
