  • MABB(Editor's note: Please spell out "MABB" upon first mention)is a new structural type of arch that connects arch ribs and stiffened girders with two internal arches. In this study, the static and dynamic behavior of MABB were analyzed in comparison with those of conventional arches for the investigation of the structural effect of MABB on moving loads. For the purpose of surveying the effect of internal arches on the dynamic behavior of structure, natural frequency and natural vibration mode were investigated and the static and dynamic behavior were analyzed by the method of idealizing train loads as traveling loads consisting of a group of concentrated loads. From the results, the following conclusions were known. First, it is concluded that with MABB, decreasing the section of stiffened girders is possible as compared with conventional arches because the increase of stiffness by internal arches is larger than that of the mass of internal arches. Second, MABB has the advantage of assurance of stability of dynamic behavior because the dynamic behavior of MABB on moving loads is usually investigated in a more stable way than that of conventional arches.

  • It is saving material cost and construction cost by replacing conventional building materials, and It has advantages for aesthetic value. In the Europe, the United States, Japan and other country research about BIPV is actively being carried out and marketability is also being infinity expanding. Arch type PV systems efficiency characteristics is different depending on PV array's directly connection, parallel connection and arches angle, but is a lack of analysis on this nowadays. When the arch type PV system design up, they consider about aesthetic value and they didn't consider about generation efficiency. In this paper, we try to improve the efficiency through optimization of arch type PV system and estimation of the efficiency parameters of the arch type PV system, such as latitude, longitude, temperature, insolation, arch angle and each kind loss from system organization. For improving Arched PV system efficiency, proposed multiple control inverter system, and using simulation tool of Arched PV system "Solar pro", flat-plate type and many arch type PV system configuration the driving characteristics were compared and analyzed.

  • Spatial structures have the different dynamic characteristics from general rahmen structures. Therefore, it is necessary to accurately analyze dynamic characteristics and seismic response for seismic design of spatial structure. Keel arch structure is used as an example structure because it has primary characteristics of spatial structures. In case of spatial structures with different ground condition and time lag, multiple support excitation may be subjected to supports of a keel arch structure. In this study, the response of the keel arch structure under multiple support excitation and with time lag are analyzed by means of the pseudo excitation method. Pseudo excitation method shows that the structural response is divided into two parts, ground displacement and structural dynamic response due to ground motion excitation. It is known that the seismic responses of spatial structure under multiple support excitation are different from those of spatial structure under simple excitation. And the seismic response of spatial structure with time lag are different from those of spatial structure without time lag. Therefore, it has to be necessary to analyze the seismic response of spatial structure under multiple support excitation and time lag because the spatial structure supports may be different and very long span. It is shown that the seismic response of spatial structure under multiple support seismic excitation are different from those of spatial structure under unique excitation.

  • A novel vibration control method for vibration reduction of a spacial structure subjected to earthquake excitation was proposed in this study. Generally, spatial structures have various vibration modes involving high-order modes and their natural frequencies are closely spaced. Therefore, in order to control these modes, a spatially distributed MTMDs (Multiple TMDs) method is proposed previously. MR (Magnetorheological) damper were used to enhance the control performance of the MTMDs. Accordingly, MSTMDs (Multiple Smart TMDs) were proposed in this study. An arch structure was used as an example structure because it has primary characteristics of spatial structures and it is a comparatively simple structure. MSTMDs were applied to the example arch structure and the seismic control performance were evaluated based on the numerical simulation. Fuzzy logic control algorithm (FLC) was used to generate command voltages sent for MSTMSs and the FLC was optimized by genetic algorithm. Based on the analytical results, it has been shown that the MSTMDs effectively decreased the dynamic responses of the arch structure subjected to earthquake loads.

  • The axillary buds of 15-year-old Tilia amurensis were cultured on Saito and Ide (IS), Murashige and Skoog (MS) media and woody plant medium (WPM) to establish an effective micropropagation method. Five levels of 6-benzylaminopurine (BAP) were tested. On IS medium and WPM addition of 1.0/l BAP enhanced shoot development and shoot elongation, whereas addition of 0.5/l BAP was effective on MS medium. A better results were obtained from WPM with 1.0/l BAP and MS with 0.1/l BAP. Developed shoots were subcultured on each basal media but with 0.2/l BAP, Multiple shoots were almost doubled in a month. Root formation could be enhanced at higher concentration of indole-3-butyric acid (IBA). Better rooting rate (83.3%) was achieved on a half-strength MS medium with 3.0 /l IBA. Regenerated plantlets were successfully transferred to soil. To investigate the clonal variation in shoot development and shoot elongation by axillary bud culturing, seven plus tree clones were tested, Clonal variation in tissue culturability among plus trees was recognized by the Duncan's multiple range test at the 5% level. Kang Won No. 12 showed the best response on WPM with 1.0/l BAP.
