The purpose of this study is to provide relevant directions of media industry regulation and policy by analyzing the relationship between market concentration and performance in global pay TV markets. The market concentration has long been regulated in the media industry under the belief that it harms market efficiency and cultural diversity. As the global media market is undergoing significant chance accelerated by the advance of technology, it is necessary to examine the feasibility of this long myth. The data are collected from global 17 pay TV markets and analyzed to see whether the highly concentrated markets by a single player result in higher price and slower service penetration. The result indicates that the price is not escalated and the penetration is not limited even in the markets where a dominant player takes high market share. It implies that more diverse factors other than the market concentration affect the market performance and that maintaining strict regulation of the market concentration is likely to have negative effect on technology innovation.

As the marine environment is becoming more important with growing demand for the marine transport due to the globalization, some advanced ports have made efforts to establish Green Port to protect the marine environment. The Korean ports as the world's fifth ranked country have also made efforts to establish Green Port but most efforts are focused on hardware aspects such as renewable energy generation, installation of AMP and fuel conversion of port facilities. The purpose of this study is to develop Eco-Ship assessment scheme for Green Port in a software aspect and present measures to improve global green-competitiveness of Korean ports through diversification of their efforts for Green Port.

This study examines nonpatient revenues of hospital in korea. The data source for this study was the 11 national university hospitals over the period 2008-2012. In this study, patient revenues, patient expenses, operating profit, nonpatient revenues, total revenues, ratio of the nonpatient revenues in the total revenues, operating margin, normal profit to gross revenues were analysed by the annual. The analysis of nonpatient revenue differences by management performance, bed size, location was performed. The results were as follows. Nonpatient revenues of national university hospitals were increased during the period 2008-2012. Nonpatient revenues were no significant differences by management performance. Nonpatient revenues in hospitals which are large bed size and located in big city were larger. Based on these results, this study suggests implications to diversify profitability for management performance in hospitals.

The aim of this study is to analyze the research trends on Hanji (Korean traditional paper) in the academic literatures based on the purpose, content, and findings of various studies, and to present a direction for future research. Research papers published in 12 academic journals over the past 51 years (1965-2016) were collected using 167 key-words for the search, and of them, 178 papers were selected for analysis. Statistical analysis of these papers based on year, research content, and discipline to understand and quantify the research trend. Revealed that the frequency of the published research paper was generally proportional by number of research projects in domestic government departments. They also indicated that while there were several studies on property valuation or functionality improvement of Hanji based on experiments, research was lacking in the areas of observation, analysis, case studies, and status survey of Hanji. The present study provides basic data for establishing the direction of research on Hanji.

The study introduced an actual American university program student's learning outcomes in instructional technology integration knowledge in order to acknowledge implication considering the current status of relevant Korean teacher training programs. With utilizing complete sampling (students enrolled in a master's program in Instructional Systems Technology at the N University in Fall 2015), the survey was conducted on knowledge, strategies and performance in instructional technology integration, and interview assessed deeper understanding of students' relevant competencies in their specific professional setting. The results and findings based on triangulation of the data confirmed that the students gained sufficient knowledge, and applied the relevant knowledge and competencies into their work setting. For future research, the implications were offered on reviewing Korean teacher training programs in professional competency development related to technology integration in teaching and learning.

In recent, a rapid growth of the air tourism and leisure industry and the massive amount of investing plan by the national government, the local authorities have drawn new investment of new market entrance companies and increasing investment of current companies which have been diversified their business area. Whereas, few research literature on the asset structure formation which is the base of investment activity has been studied. In this study, we suggest the results of the impact of the asset structure to the managerial outcomes by the analysis of the asset structure of air transport industry, the sea transport industry, and the ground passenger transport industry that have been representing of the air tourism and leisure industry. As results of this study, we suggest the reference point of future invest direction and the way of improving effectiveness of air tourism and leisure industry.

The purpose of this study is to examine how the Munjeonsa(SPC) has influenced the way terrestrial broadcasting networks produce drama. The study has three research objectives. First, this study investigates why the networks use SPC for drama production. Second, the study examines the features in the process of the setup and operation of SPC. Third, the study identifies the impacts of SPC on networks' drama production. This study analyzes which was produced by KBS SPC. The results of this study are as follows. First, networks introduce SPC to procure an enormous production costs and to manage the production system transparently and efficiently. Second, the feature of networks' SPC(KGCS SPC) is that it has a unique dual structure with main and project SPC. Third, SPC influences drama production system in various ways; revitalization of external investment, accounting transparency, growing of network's planning dramas, securing intellectual properties and revenue diversification.

Domestic free TVs play roles as for contents provider and TV station : they need to acquire not only ad revenues but also distribution revenues from internet service, cable channel and DMB. It is however doubtful to keep the windowing of programs through the different windows due to recent decrease of ad revenues of the stations. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to search for the mechanism of windowing of free TV's programs and the strategy of the distribution. As a result, the life cycle of the broadcasting programs is so short to be distributed within 7 days, Regarding the windowing, there are at first the strategy increasing the accumulated revenue by the diversification of the windows ; secondly, the strategy focusing on the prospective window neglecting the holdback. It is necessary to choose to take the appropriate strategy by the particularity of each program and the market background.

The field of design is expanding and diversified in modern society while several new functions are presented by converging a variety of fields of knowledge. There are changes happening in people's way of thinking, sensitivity and behaviors as they are seeking for a new way of expression and aesthetic values. Accordingly, the black and white drawings are increasing as a new way of recognition of tradition or new materials. This paper is to make a study of the expression methods and their analysis of the black and white drawings, based on their historical and social background, and has suggested black and white expression methods as an aesthetic value consistent with the traditional oriental beauty and emotional sensitivity. This paper is also aimed at studying practical usage of the expression of black and white drawings shown in the TV-CM design, and expanding the scope of design by analyzing the conception, features, and classification of the black and white drawings and searching for a new technique or an oriental expression method.

In this paper, we suggest a design method of a wide-band Butler matrix working at 5.9 GHz for V2X communication antennas. Since V2X communication needs beam-forming and beam-steering antennas to make transportation systems, mobile comm platforms, saturated frequency-resources, and signal TX-and-RX smart, multi-functional, resolved, and efficient utmost, respectively, the proper Butler matrix and its radiating elements as a low-profile geometry are realized. The constitutive components of the basic Butler matrix of a narrow band are designed first. And then, it is extended to a wide-band version to make its frequency-shift less affected by the event of the antenna system being mounted on a car body. The beam-forming and beam-steering performance is presented as the common feature tagged along with the different bandwidths of the frequency responses as the comparison between the narrow- and wide-band cases.
