  • 분리막공정을 폐수처리에 적용시 적용되는 각 폐수의 특성과 조건에 따라 공정의 안정성 및 경제성에 많은 영향을 받게 된다. 특히 폐수에 대한 농축도는 공정의 경제성과 밀접한 관계를 갖고 있는 중요한 인자이다. 폐수중에 염류 및 난분해성 유기물의 농도가 높을 경우 최종 처리수의 양을 줄이지 않으면 추가로 농축수에 대한 처리비용이 증가하기 때문에 폐수에 대한 분리막의 농축특성을 실험을 통하여 충분히 고려하여야 한다. 난분해성 폐수의 일종인 염료폐수는 고농도의 유기물과 높은 염류를 함유하고 있어 분리막공정을 이용하여 처리시 농축도의 증가와 함께 폐수의 특성변화로 막의 성질을 변화시킬 수도 있다. 더불어 과포화된 무기이온성분에 의하여 막표면에 scale을 유발시킬 수 있으므로 농축에 따른 적절한 무기이온성분의 제거는 농축도를 높이는 중요한 인자라고 볼 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 2가 이온에 대한 선택적 배제가 가능한 nanfiltration계열의 분리막을 이용하여 염료폐수를 대상으로 처리효율, cold crystallization공정을 응용한 농축실험 및 세척효과에 관하여 연구하였다.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 DTP 폐수를 나노여과막으로 여과하여 처리하는 공정에서 발생하는 농축수를 처리하는 공정의 개발에 있다. 특히 DTP 장치의 특성상 발생 폐수를 별도의 폐수처리장으로 수집, 이동 하지 않고 현장에서 처리하는 소규모 패키지 시스템을 개발하고자 하였다. 아런 목표를 달성하기 위해 효율적인 여과공정인 나노여과를 적용하였고, 이 때 발생하는 농축수는 오존이나 과산화수소와 같은 산화제를 이용하여 일부 처리하고 나머지는 감압농축 및 감량화를 농한 농축수 관리 방안을 연구 하였다.

  • Full scale livestock wastewater treatment plant (100 t/d) was constructed and operated to develop compact and cost effective treatment process for public plant as well as individual farm. Liquid form of livestock wastewater after belt press filter was treated through MBR/NF/RO. NF/RO brine water was mixed with livestock wastewater sludge and treated using denitrification, coagulation and air flotation process. Mixed effluent of NF/RO and air flotation meet public livestock wastewater treatment standard, BOD, T-N and T-P, 30 mg/L, 60 mg/L, 8 mg/L below, respectively. Condensed sludge of air flotation returned belt press filter. Dewatered cake contained 90% water and could be used fertilizer after mixing sawdust.

  • This study aimed to compare the pretreatment methods of phytoplankton for type approval of the Ballast Water Treatment System (BWMS). The International Maritime Organization (IMO) and the United States Maritime Police (USCG) use two different test methods for this purpose. To compare the two methods, a test for concentration and non-concentration was performed with cultured and natural phytoplankton, and samples from the land-based BWMS test. The extent of damages caused by the process of concentration varied between cultured and natural species, indicating differences depending on the physiological and morphological characteristics of the species. In the land-based test, in the control water with a high biological population, the number of non-concentrated samples was about twice as high as that of the concentrated samples. There was no distinct difference between the two methods in the treated water with a low biological population. Thus, although there is a difference between concentration and non-concentration for phytoplankton sampling, the concentration method can be applied as a method of evaluating BWMS performance. However, a method for evaluating whether live species in treated water may be lost or damaged during the concentration process of sampling should be developed and validated.

  • 하수처리장의 농축-소화-탈수 등 전형적인 슬러지처리 공정에서 발생하는 소화조, 농축조 상징액 및 탈리여액 등의 반류수는 유량은 적으나 고농도로써 처리장의 전체 처리효율에 심각한 영향을 주는 것으로 알려져 있는데 외국에서는 이미 반류수의 농도를 감소시키며, 또한 발생된 반류수를 효과적으로 처리하기 위한 기술개발에 대한 광범위한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 이는 반류수 내 고농도의 질소를 제거하면 기존 처리장에서도 상당한 수준의질소 제거가 가능하다는 판단

  • 역삼투공정은 선택적 투과성을 가진 막을 이용하여 혼합용액으로부터 특정물질을 분리, 농축 또는 정제하기 위하여 널리 응용되는 분리막기술중의 하나이며, 연속공정이 용이하고 단순히 압력만을 가하는 물리적 조작이므로 원리 및 장치가 간단하여 해수 담수화, 폐수처리, 유용물질 회수, 초순수제조, 식품 및 의약품의 분리, 농축 등 여러 산업분야에서 응용되고 있다. 그러나 매우 큰 삼투압을 나타내는 용액의 농축을 위해서는 삼투압보다 큰 적용압력을 가해주어야 하나 사용된 막은 일정압력 이상에서는 수축되어 제기능을 발휘하지 못하게 되므로 일반적인 역삼투공정으로써는 큰 삼투압을 나타내는 용액의 농축에는 사용될 수 없다. 이는 용액의 삼투압이 씨스템에서 가해줄 수 있는 압력보다 커지기 때문으로, 이 삼투압차를 줄여줄 수 있다면 같은 압력에서도 더 큰 농축효과를 얻을 수 있다.

Growth of Three Sprout Vegetables and Absorption Characteristics of Vanadium according to Jeju Water Concentration (제주 Water 농축에 따른 3종 새싹채소의 생장 및 Vanadium의 흡수 특성)

  • Vanadium is a trace mineral present in dietary sources, most commonly vegetables. The aim of this study was to investigate the growth and vanadium absorption characteristics of Brassica napus L., Fagopyrum esculentum, and Hordeum vulgare L. using different Jeju water concentrations. The growth of three sprout vegetables and absorption characteristics of vanadium were different depending on Jeju water concentration containing vanadium. In the case of B. napus L. and H. vulgare L., germination rate was inhibited by increasing Jeju water concentration, whereas in F. esculentum, the best germination rate (60.7 %) was obtained at 40 times concentration of Jeju water (vanadium, 1.34 mg/L). For the sprout growth, growth of shoots increased with increasing Jeju water concentration, but root growth was gradually inhibited by increasing Jeju water concentration. For the absorption of vanadium by Jeju water concentration, vanadium was not detected in H. vulgare L. The vanadium contents of B. napus L. and F. esculentum were 4.2 mg/kg and 2.9 mg/kg at 10 times concentration of Jeju water (vanadium, 0.46 mg/L), respectively.

Effect of Extract or Crude Enzyme Extracted from the Fruit of Paper Mulberry (Broussonetia kazinoki Siebold) on Tenderness and Palatability of Jangchorim (닥나무 열매(緖寶子)의 농축액과 조효소가 장조림의 맛과 연화에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of the addition of the extract (0, 2, 4, 6, 8%) and crude enzyme (0, 0.05, 0.1, 0.5, 1%) extracted from the fruits of paper mulberry (Broussonetia kazinoki Siebold) on the tenderness and palatability of Jangchorim. Addition of up to 8% of the extract diminished the shear force by 4.8∼27%, while the addition of up to 1% of the crude enzyme begot 7.8∼34.2% decrease. Also, as the addition of the fruits of paper mulberry increased, the cooking loss was somewhat decreased, an the redness of cooked beef surface and free amino acid content in the liquid part of Jangchorim were generally increased. The contents of the mineral were in the order of Na, K, P, Ca, and Mg when crude enzyme was added. In sensory evaluation, the 4% crude extract from the fruit of paper mulberry and 0.1% addition in its crude enzyme showed the most favorable response.

Soy-oligosaccharide Production from Yeast Fermented Bean Cooking Water: Effects of Ultrafiltration and Reverse Osmosis (효모발효한 대두침출액으로부터의 대두올리고당 생산: 한외여과 및 역삼투 처리효과)

  • Ultrafiltration and reverse osmosis were applied to produce soy-oligosaccharides from yeast fermented bean cooking water (BCW). The recovered total sugar by the ultrafiltration of bean cooking water on a cutoff molecular weight membrane of 20,000 and 5,000 was over 80%. The protein was removed up to 38% from the non-fermented BCW, 31% by S. cerevisiae KCTC 7039 and 21% by H. anomala KFRI 626. The recovery of oligosaccharides was above 70%, although fermented or non fermented bean cooking water was different on the recovery of oligosaccharides. The ultrafiltrated BCW was concentrated by reverse osmosis with respect to the volume concentration ratio (VCR). Total solid, total sugar, ash and protein contents increased up to VCR of 3.5 and then levelled off, showing that the optimum VCR was 3.5.

  • This study was focused on the treatment of thickened sewage sludge. General bacteria and E. coli were disinfected over 99% and organic compounds were decomposed after irradiation. It was suggested that this process can be an alternative for digestion Process. The moisture content in sludge was decreased over 10% (w/w) and the coagulation of sludge particles was enhanced by irradiation at the dose of 15 kGy and addition of sea waste resource (star-fish) as a dewatering aid.
