Livestock Manure Nutrients Flow Analysis of Integrated Crop-Livestock Farming Model Reflecting the Regional Characteristics (지역특성을 고려한 경축순환농업 모형의 가축분뇨 양분 흐름분석)

  • Integration of crop-livestock farming has been a problem-solving mode for abatement of environmental pollution and recovery of resources in recent years. The objectives of this study were 1) to suggest the customized integration of crop-livestock farming model reflecting the regional characteristics through in-depth analysis of case study and 2) to analyze the livestock nutrients flow in terms of three primary elements as nitrogen(N), phosphorous(P), and potassium(K). The personal interview and survey were carried out in 2012 for a total of 161 farms from four different regions(NS, NW, JJ, YC) in South Korea. The mass balance analysis was used to suggest and evaluate the models for two sites(JJ and YC). The results showed that NS and NW sites produced relatively more livestock manure than the sites of YC and JJ because of the regional differences in livestock numbers and urbanization. The models were suggested for the site JJ and site YC, and 'two track model(energy and resource recovery)' and 'dispersal type model' were assigned respectively. For the nutrient flows, the releasing P and K with new models had increased up to 7%, while N release had decreased down to 15% in both YC and JJ sites compared to the present treatment system. Estimated value showed that there was oversupply of N (719 ton/yr) and $P_2O_5$ (1,269 ton/yr) in YC and deficiency of N (671 ton/yr) and excessive $P_2O_5$ (32 ton/yr) in JJ respectively. Therefore, P runoff has to be considered an eutrophication occurs in rural small stream when an integration of crop-livestock farm system is applied into both sites.

  • 비점오염원관리와 같이 장기적인 유역 관리 계획에서 유역 내 오염원 평가는 정말 중요하다. 유역 내 오염원 평가는 강우 유출에 의한 비점오염 발생원이 어디서 얼마나 발생시키는지에 대한 정량적인 조사가 필요하다. 유역 내의 오염원에 대한 정량적인 조사는 많은 비용과 시간이 필요하다. 이러한 비용과 시간을 줄이기 위해 유역단위 수리 수문 모델을 사용하고 있다. 유역단위 수리수문 모델은 HSPF (Hydrological Simulation Program in Fortran), SWAT (Soil and Water Assessment Tool), L-THIA ACN-WQ(The Long-term Hydrologic Impact Assessment Model with Asymptotic Curve Number Regression Equation and Water Quality model)등 다양한 모델이 사용되고 있다. 하지만 유역 모델을 통한 모의는 다양한 연산 과정을 진행하여 모의까지 많은 시간이 필요하다는 단점이 있다. 이에 따라 데이터 기반 모델링 기법(머신러닝/딥러닝)을 이용한 유출 및 수질 예측 연구가 많이 이루어지고 있다. 단순 머신러닝/딥러닝 기반 모델링 기법은 점(최종유출구)에서의 예측만 가능하여 최적관리 기법 적용 등과 같은 유역관리 방안을 적용하기 힘들다는 문제점이 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서 머신러닝/딥러닝을 통해 일부 수문 프로세스를 대체하고 소유역별 하도추적 기법을 연계하여 유량 및 수질 항목들의 모의가 가능한 하이브리드 모델을 개발하였다. 이는 머신러닝/딥러닝이 유역 모델의 일부 연산 과정을 대체하여 모의시간이 빠르며, 기존 머신러닝/딥러닝 예측 모델에서 평가가 어려웠던 유역 관리 방안 및 최적관리기법 적용 평가에도 활용이 가능할 것으로 판단이 된다.

A Study on improving the competitiveness of agri-food export sector in Korea - with Porter's Diamond Model - (우리나라 농식품 수출부문의 경쟁력 향상방안 연구 - 포터의 다이아몬드 모델을 중심으로 -)

  • This paper examines agri-food export competitiveness among 4 countries(Korea, USA, Japan, China) based on Porter's Diamond model approach. Korea agri-food competitiveness index is much less than those of other countries. Korea is the lowest ranked among the 4 countries in terms of three determinants(except 1 factor, related and supporting industries) of Porter's Diamond Model: Factor condition, demand condition, firm strategy, structure and rivalry. Korea is assumed to have weak point in the factor condition, demand condition because of low capital and land as well as insufficient investment on the agri-food sector. on the other hand, it seems to have strong factor in consumer condition(demand condition). This paper suggest the following strategies to reinforced the agri-food export sector in Korea. 1) an incentive system for seed development and capital investment, 2) a cluster strategy between agriculture and related industry.

  • While research activities in the agricultural field for climate change are being actively carried out, smart agriculture using information and communication technology has become a new trend in line with the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Accordingly, research is being conducted to identify and respond to signs of abnormal growth in advance by monitoring the stress of crops in various outdoor environments and soil conditions. There are also attempts to analyze data collected in real time through various sensors using artificial intelligence techniques or big data technologies. In this paper, we propose a big data model that is effective in analyzing the growth environment informations and biometric information of crops by using the existing relational database for big data analysis. The performance of the model was measured by the response time to a query according to the amount of data. As a result, it was confirmed that there is a maximum time reduction effect of 23.8%.

Evaluation of Greenhouse Gas Emissions using DNDC Model from Paddy Fields of 16 Local Government Levels (우리나라 16개 지자체 벼논에서 DNDC 모델을 이용한 온실가스 배출량 평가)

  • This research was conducted to estimate methane emission from paddy field of 16 local government levels using the DNDC(DeNitrification-DeComposition) model from 1990 to 2010. Four treatments used in DNDC model for methane emission calculations were (1) midseason drainage with rice straw, (2) midseason drainage without rice straw, (3) continuous flooding with rice straw, and (4) continuous flooding without rice straw. Methane emissions at continuous flooding with rice straw were the highest ($471kg\;C\;ha^{-1}$) while were the lowest ($187kg\;C\;ha^{-1}$) at midseason drainage without rice straw. The average methane emission for 21 years was the highest ($1,406Gg\;CO_{2-eq}$.) in Jeonnam province because of its large cultivation area. Jeju province had the highest the average methane emission per unit area due to the organic content in soil.
