To investigate the relationship between mental health and oral health problems in the elderly, this study was conducted using raw data from the 7th 3rd(2018) National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, targeting 753 elderly people aged 65 and over. For data analysis, complex sample analysis was performed using IBM SPSS 22.0 program. In the case of chewing problem, the odds ratio increased in the group with high stress perception and depression(p<0.05). In the case of speaking problem, the odds ratio increased in the group that received mental health counseling(p<0.05). As a result of this study, it was found that there is a relationship between mental health and oral health problems in the elderly. Therefore, it is thought that it is necessary to improve the quality of life through the development of programs to improve the mental health of the elderly and oral health problems.

There are less studies on the elderly suicide even though it's steep increase. The purpose of the present study was to investigate factors that influence on the elderly suicide and to categorize them. For these purpose, A total of 23 cases were analyzed through qualitative contents analysis. Specifically, on the basis of the stress-vulnerability model, we scrutinized vulnerability factors(classified personal, family-environment factors) and precipitating events(classified interpersonal events) influencing on the elderly suicide. Personal factor was to be classified into personal mental health, physical health and problematic behavior. Family-environment factor was divided family relationship problem and economic problem. Interpersonal events belonging to the precipitating events was to be classified into interpersonal loss and interpersonal conflict. As the results of this study, elderly suicide classified into 3 types, that is, 'risk type suicide', 'event-response type suicide', 'complex type'. And then we discussed the characteristics of the suicidal types and suggestions for reduction of elderly suicide.

This study investigates what older adults give meaning of ageism with relation to their self-identity. The main findings are as follows. The participants' response to daily life ageism is divided in four types: 'denial', 'evasion', 'acceptance', 'problematic proposal', and 'isolation'. In conclusion, this study contributes to understanding ageism in-depth. The findings of this study discover tension and suppression within society regarding ageism from the perspectives of the older participants, and reveal the latent dimension which is not caught with the language.

우리나라에서 소위 노인문제가 제기되기 시작한 것도 꽤 오래 되었다. 현대판 고려장이니 노후대책의 필요성, 핵가족화에 따른 노인소외 등의 문제가 수없이 제기되어 왔지만, 이에 대해 이렇다 할 구체적 대책은 아직까지도 마련되지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 그렇다고 해서 노인을 양로원에 보낸다는 것은 유교사상이 잔존하는 우리의 정서가 허락하지를 않고...... 그러나 이처럼 지키지도 못할 도덕적 양심에 몰릴 것이 아니라 이제는 정말 보다 편안한 노후를 위한 대책이 사회적 · 국가적 측면에서 해결되어져야 할 시점에 왔다. 이런 면에서 이번호에 소개하는 유당마을과 같은 유료양로원은, 앞으로 우리나라 노인문제 해결의 한 방법이 될 수 있을 것 같다.

The extension of life expectancy due to modernization means an extension of the benefit time for elderly care and disease. However, compared to the increase in the elderly, the attitude of children toward parental responsibility is gradually weakening. These social phenomena bring alienation, hopelessness, and stress to life in old age, and the resulting sense of helplessness leads to suicidal thoughts or intentional death (suicide), becoming a social problem. The intentional death (suicide) of the elderly is a social phenomenon that often occurs around them, and the reality can be seen through the movie. In this study, the main character 'Soyoung' in the movie 'The Woman Who Kills' and the surrounding characters 'Song Old Man', 'Jongsu', and 'Jaewoo' in conversations with the elderly problem and death factors were analyzed in the Matrix. ), and then applied to the 'flow chart of problems in the elderly due to modernization' compiled by Byeong-Woo Lim (2019), to explore the factors of intentional death (suicide). As a result of the analysis, the four elderly were exposed to problems of the elderly such as disease, alienation and loneliness, poverty, and loss. (Suicide) was analyzed.

인구 고령화는 세계적 추세이지만, 특히 한국과 일본은 현저하게 빠른 증가 속도로, 2050년 일본이 세계 1위, 한국이 세계 2위로 전망되고 있다. 본 연구는 한국과 일본의 고령자 일상생활활동의 건강성에 관한 실태와 비교 분석을 통해 사회, 문화 및 노인 인구 증가 속도 등 여러 면에서 우리나라와 유사점을 가지고 있으면서도 노인 문제를 우리보다 약 20년 정도 앞선 경험으로 고령화 대책이 구체적인 일본 노인복지를 통하여 한국 노인 문제에 다양한 시사점을 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 한국과 일본 각각 양국가의 언어로 번역된 설문지를 사용하여, 한일 65세 이상 노인 603명과 267명을 연구대상으로 하였다. 훈련된 연구 조사원들을 통해 일대일 면접 방식으로 한국의 노인복지관과 노인대학과 센터 등에서, 일본의 시니어클럽연합회와 사회복지법인의 자원봉사 그룹, 고령자 생협 소속 노인들에게 조사되었다. 이를 통해, 행복한 노년기를 위한 인간존엄의 근원적 테마로 다양한 시사점을 제시하였다.

본 논문은 김천시에 거주하는 60세 이상 남녀 노인의 음주특성을 조사하였다. 조사결과 남자 노인이 여자 노인보다 음주 경향이 높게 나타났으며, 남자 노인은 10대부터 음주 경험이 있는 초기시작음주유형인 반면, 여자 노인은 나이가 들면서 음주를 경험하게 되는 후기시작음주 유형으로 나타났다. 음주를 하는 노인 중 40.6%는 정상음주를 하고 있었으며, 24.7%는 상습적 과음자로 나타났다. 또한 남자 노인은 '인간관계 유지'를 위해 음주를 하는 경우가 많았으며, 이 때 '기분이 좋아지거나 어려운 일이 해결 된 것 같다'라고 응답하였다. 여자 노인은 남자 노인과 다르게 '기분전환이나 생활 스트레스'로 인한 문제로 음주를 하는 경우가 많았으며, 이 때 '우울해지거나 하소연하고 싶어진다'는 또 다른 문제를 나타내기도 하였다.

최근 노인관련 요양 문제는 이미 사회적 이슈로 떠오르면서 각 가정에서의 돌봄이 곤란한 어르신들이 요양원, 재가복지센터, 주간보호센터, 노인전문병원 등에서 요양보호사의 도움이 절대적으로 필요한 일상이 되었다. 무엇보다도 장기요양서비스를 이용하는 어르신 대부분은 노인성 질환 또는 치매를 앓고 있다. 이는 각 가정에서의 돌봄이 어려운 어르신들에게 직접서비스를 제공 하는 종사자인 요양보호사들은 다양한 치매어르신들의 문제행동을 안고 현장에서의 돌봄을 제공한다. 따라서, 요양보호사의 직무 관련 스트레스에 미치는 영향력 파악과 이와 더불어 직무스트레스가 치매어르신의 문제행동과 종사자의 소진 간의 매개 효과가 있는 지 규명하는 연구들이 활발하게 이루어 짐으로 이를 규명한 내용을 토대로 대안 마련을 위한 유익한 제언들이 필요하다.

U-healthcare provides people with many conveniences and keeps their health. As facility centered medical environment is being changed to patient centered one, however, various problems are emerging. These problems range from institutional problems to technological, producer related, and user related ones. The researcher took interested in problems originating from users, in particular, elderly patients and guardians taking care of an elderly patient. The main focus of this study is the direction of serious contents design for training skills in HMI of U-healthcare equipment and developing emergency coping abilities. In this study, I started from research on elderly cognitive psychology and elders' motor reactions and interconnected the characteristics of various digital content forms. The results of this study are expected to be useful for the rapidly expanding elderly population and in the U-healthcare industry.

지금 우리의 문제 중에 가장 심각한 문제는 노인문제라고 할 수 있다. 노인이 되면 일반적으로 경제적으로 자립하지 못하고 건강이 악화되기 때문에 스스로 생활하는데 어려움을 갖게 된다. 보다 활력이 넘치는 건강한 노년기를 보내기 위해서 자신에게 맞는 적당한 운동과 건강관리를 하는 것이 무엇보다도 필요하다.
