South Korea already became an aging society, and is now in the process of becoming an aged society. With increasing elderly population, elderly safety issues such as traffic accidents and elderly suicides are becoming important problems. Elderly victimization are increasing, and elderly safety accident is also becoming an imporotant social problem. The police is doing various activities for elderly safety. The police is conducting programs for the elderly, such as a prevention program for fraud against elderly, and safety checks and traffic safety education for preventing elderly traffic accidents. Also, there's a program of providing regular visits for a lone elderly, expansion of CCTV network and fingerprint registration to prevent elderlies with Alzheimer's disease going missing. However, these programs are not done on a national scale, but rather limited to local police stations. The purpose of this study is to seek police roles for enhancing elderly safety, due to lack of police activity in this area. Recommendation for police roles in enhancing elderly safety is to first conduct routine crackdowns on fraud against elderly and also conduct education programs for preventing fraud. Also, crimes such as elderly abuse is lead by elderly protection agencies, but considering elderly abuse is a crime, the police should take a leading role. Also, to prevent elderly suicide, meticulous management of elderlies with high suicide risk is necessary, and elderly protection areas should be designated to prevent traffic accidents. Also, elderlies should be induced to turn in their driver's license. To conduct these matters of elderly safety, an organization exclusively charged with elderly safety is necessary. Elderly safety is a broad concept, and since police alone cannot handle the task of ensuring elderly safety, the police should take on a leading role in cooperative efforts with various institutions of the government, non-profit organizations and the community to establish a social saftey net for elderly safety.

Korea, which has the highest pedestrian fatality rate among OECD countries, is making efforts to improve the safe walking environment by enacting laws focusing on pedestrian. Spatial clustering was conducted with scan statistics after examining the social network data related to traffic accidents for children and seniors. The word cloud was used to examine people's recognition Campaigns for children and literature survey for seniors were in main concern. Naedang and Yongsan are the regions with the highest relative risk of weak pedestrian for children and seniors. On the contrary, Bongmu and Beomeo are the lowest relative risk region. Naedang-dong and Yongsan-dong of Daegu Metropolitan City were identified as vulnerable areas for pedestrian safety due to the high risk of pedestrian accidents for children and the elderly. This means that the scan statistics are effective in searching for traffic accident risk areas.

In this research, Check the problems through analysis of traffic accidents while the elderly walking. Propose a way to reduce elderly traffic accidents. Therefore, analyzing the characteristics(by time and place etc) in order to reduce the traffic accident in the elderly pedestrian. Proposed the following Policy alternatives. First, Build a pedestrian safety island on the center of the road. Secondly, Should install the pedestrian crossing signal facilities which show the spare time and the guard rail to prevent crosswalk. Third, Should expend the installation area of pedestrian-operating traffic signal. Fourth, the night lighting facilities shall be installed nearby Crosswalk. Finally, Should appoint the elderly care area. Measures presented in this study, I hope they can be the basic data for the elderly in traffic safety policies for the elderly in accordance with the advent of aging society.

최근 지속적인 출산율의 감소와 평균수명의 증가로 인하여, 대한민국의 초고령 사회는 예상보다 훨씬 빠르게 증가하고 있다. 핵가족 형태가 보편화되며 1인 가구도 함께 늘고 있어서 홀로 사는 노인의 수 역시 증가하는 추세이다. 주거 공간에서 낙상사고와 같은 고령화 안전사고가 많이 발생하고 있다. 혼자 사는 독거노인들의 경우 사고 발생 즉시 대처가 가능한 보호자가 없다는 문제점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 MediaPipe를 이용한 낙상사고 감지 시스템을 개발한다. 먼저, 이 시스템은 MediaPipe를 이용해서 카메라를 통해 실시간으로 수신된 영상에서 사람을 인식하고, 자세 유형 분석을 통해 낙상사고 발생 여부를 판별하여 애플리케이션을 통해 보호자에게 현장 상황을 알려주는 시스템이다. 낙상사고가 발생했다면 보호자용 애플리케이션을 통해 사고 발생 알림 및 현장 사진을 보여준다. 이와 같은 기술을 활용하여 응급상황에 처한 노인을 빠르게 구조하며 독거노인의 생활안전사고 문제를 해결하는 데에 기여하고자 한다.

지면 변화 트레드밀 기기는 경사도 변화가 가능하며 안전사고를 예방하는 안전장치, 노인의 보행속도에 적합한 속도를 구현할 수 있는 자동 속도 구현장치, 기존 트레드밀에서 구현하지 못하는 다양한 지면 조건을 현실화할 수 있는 재질의 바닥 및 가상현실 컨텐츠와 연동하여 속도 조절이 가능한 지능형 조절장치로 구성된다. 때문에 가상의 외부 환경이 3D로 구현된 컨텐츠와 연동하여 노인들이 걷기 운동을 즐길 수 있도록 구현 가능한 것이 특징이다. 본 고에서는 노인 및 장애인들에게 적합한 속도 구현과 안전사고 예방 및 다양한 지면 조건을 구현한다는 장점이 있는 지면 변화 트레드밀 기기에 대해 소개하였다.

This study aimed to understand the differences in general characteristics, principal diagnosis, injury-related characteristics, and types of transportation accidents between young-old and old-old patients who were hospitalized owing to injury based on data from the Korean National Hospital Discharge In-Depth Injury Surveys. We used a complex sample cross tabulation analysis (chi-square test) and complex sample generalized linear model (t-test). Therefore, the primary focus of healthcare professionals working with the old-old should prevent falls in the home and increase the available medical care, financial aid plans, and psychosocial support for aging. Additionally education on traffic accident prevention and road safety is particularly important for old-old patients.

This study is a descriptive research conducted to identify the factors influencing patient safety management activities of geriatric hospitals nurses and use basic data to prevent patient safety accidents. Subjects were 220 nurses and data were collected by questionnaires from february 1 to 28, 2023. Data were analyzed using t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe's test, Pearson correlation coefficients and Multiple regression analysis using the SPSS 29.0 program. Patient safety motivation was positive correlated with degree of patient safety(r=.41, p<.001), and degree of patient safety was positive correlated with patient safety nursing activity(r=.18, p<.01). Degree of patient safety(𝛽=.21, p<.001) and patient safety guidelines(𝛽=.16, p<.001) were main factors that affect patient safety nursing activity, and its explanatory power was 7.5%(Adj R²=.075, p<.001). For patient safety nursing activity, it is proposed to develop and apply a education program that strengthens practical training for effective coping after safety accidents along with risk prediction training to prevent before safety accidents.

노인 및 거동 불편 환자들이 목욕 중 낙상 사고 등을 당하는 비율은 매년 증가하고 있다. 특히 국내 65세 이상 1인 가구 197만 가구는(22년 기준) 가족의 돌봄 없이 혼자 생활하고 있어, 이들이 목욕 중에 사고를 당하는 경우, 빠른 구호가 어려운 상황이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 독거노인의 증가와 낙상 사고의 위험성에 초점을 맞추어 거동이 불편한 환자라도 혼자서 목욕이 가능한, 모든 사용자로부터 접근성을 높인 샤워 부스를 개발 및 연구한다. 요양보호사 두 명과 인터뷰를 하여 실제 상황에서의 문제점을 파악한다. 인터뷰 내용을 바탕으로 사용자의 안전을 1순위로 고려하고, 사용 편의성 및 청결을 유지하는 방안을 고려한다.

The population over 65 years old is 12.7% of total population in 2014 and Korea is going to be an aged society in the near future. The transportation vulnerable including the aged should be guaranteed in walking mobility under safe and comfortable environment for their socio-economic activities. For the era of fusion and convergence this paper investigated the characteristics of walking accidents related to the aged pedestrians and analyzed the aged-oriented walking factors with a reaction time and a walking speed at crosswalks in Yeosu. In the results, the crashes for the aged occur at 9.9% of total crashes and the fatalities of the aged are 40.3% of total fatalities in 2014. The 47.4% of the aged fatalities is also attributed to vehicle-to-pedestrian accidents. The 49.3% of all pedestrian fatalities occurs at the aged pedestrians with a very high proportion. The reaction time and walking speed for the aged were determined as the values located at the lower 15%-tile of the elderly physical ability. It is shown that the reaction time is 4.56 seconds and the walking speed is 0.76 m/s in the case of Yeosu. From two factors' standpoint, the walking environment at crosswalks in Yeosu is inappropriate for the aged.

노인들이 많이 이용하는 이동 보조 기구인 기존 보행기에 다양한 기능이 부족하여 안전 서비스, 알림 서비스, 스마트폰 애플리케이션 서비스로 분류하여 기능을 추가하였다. 안전 서비스 부문의 기능으로는 경사로 사고 방지 시스템, 장애물 알림 시스템, 밝기에 따른 전조등 시스템, 손잡이에서 손이 떨어지면 자동으로 동작되는 브레이크 시스템, 겨울철 손을 따뜻하게 유지하기 위한 난방 시스템이 있다. 알림 서비스로는 현재의 온·습도 및 미세먼지 농도를 알려준 후 외출하기에 부적합할 시 경고등으로 알려주는 시스템이 있다. 스마트폰 애플리케이션 서비스는 심박 및 체온을 알려주고, 노인의 위치와 SOS신호, 운동량을 알 수 있고, 도난 방지 시스템이 있는 스마트 안전 노인 보행기를 설계하였다.
