지난호까지 마이크로소프트의 프론트페이지를 비롯한 홈페이지 제작툴을 이용해 홈페이지를 제작하는 방법에 대해 알아보았다. 이번호에는 최근 새로운 모습으로 발표된 넷스케이프 4.0 컴퓨니케이터의 컴포저 홈페이지 제작 툴을 이용한 홈페이지 제작방법에 대해 살펴봤다.

본 논문은 웹 브라우저만을 사용하여 MBond 세션에 참가하여 실시간 멀티미디어 데이터를 이음매 없이 수신할 수 있는 멀티캐스트 멀티미디어 웹 응용에 관해 기술한다. 본 응용은 웹 상에서 세션 발견을 위해, SDP, SAP 프로토콜을 이용하여 HTML 세션 페이지를 생성시키고, 실시간 스트림의 수신을 위해 RTP 프로토콜을 웹 구조에 통합함으로써 구현 가능하다. 웹 상의 RTP 재생은 넷스케이프 플러그인 방식과 자바 애플릿 방식으로 구현되었다. 넷스케이프 플러그인은 수신측의 지연버퍼를 조정하는 방식으로 최소한의 품질을 보장하도록 구현하였으며, 애플릿 방식은 플랫폼-독립적이며, 새로운 미디어의 확장이나 업그레이드를 위해 추가적인 프로그램을 인스톨 해야 하는 불필요함을 없앨 수 있다. 특히 후자의 접근 방식은 핫자바 브라우저 상에서 프로토타입핑 되어, 앞으로의 차세대 인터넷 멀티캐스트 환경에 적용될 새로운 응용이나 미디어를 위한 이상적이고 확장성을 지닌 솔루션을 제공한다. 추가적으로 본 구조에서 멀티캐스트 미디어의 확장성을 보이기 위해 멀티캐스트를 통한 HTML 문서의 분배라를 새로운 응용 구조를 제안한다.

SET(Secure Electronic Transaction)은 인터네트와 같은 open network에서 안전하게 상거래를 할 수 있도록 보장해주는 지불 프로토롤이다. SET은 보안상의 허점을 보완하고자 신용카드 회사인 비자, 마스터카드와 IBM, 넷스케이프, 마이크로소프트 그리고 VeriSign의 기술적인 도움으로 개발되었다. SET은 RSA 데이터 보안회사의 암호화 기술에 기초를 두고 있으며, 기술사양 자체가 공개이므로 누구나 자유롭게 SET 프로토롤을 사용하는 소프트웨어를 개발 할 수 있다. SET은 우리가 일상생활에서 이용하는 신용카드 거래체계를 인터네트를 통한 전자상거래에서도 유사하게 이용할 수 있도록 하였다.

In this study, the messages sent at application layer are encrypted by using RSA Public Keys before sending. Then we developed the information security system devised for the secure WWW data transmission by extending the functions of the Netscape browser and by using application programs such as Java applications and by using the plug-in methods. Not only can these technologies reduce and make it easier to perform key management or encryption transmission process, but they can also reduce the processing time of encryption correspondence.

한국감성과학회의 홈페이지의 구성을 위하여 형식 문법(HTML ;Hyper Text Markup Language)의 작성은 넷스케이프(NETSCAPE)의 컴포저(composer)을 이용하였으며, 필요한 그림 및 아이콘(Icon)은 Adobe photoshop 4.0버전으로 작성하였고, Map This 1.3버전을 이용하여 이미지 맵들을 구성하여 학회의 홈페이지를 만들었다. 감성과학회의 홈페이지를 시작으로 회원마당/가입안내, 학회안내, 행사일정 및 소식, 학회논문 검색, 국제정보를 하부구조로 구성하였으며, 각 하부구조 밑에 또 다른 하부구조를 구성하도록 하였다. 이렇게 본 학회의 홈페이지를 구축함으로써 쉽게 학회의 행사 및 소식을 회원에게 전달할 수 있으며, 학회의 가입 및 신청과 논문 투고요령, 학회에 관련한 국제정보 및 학회의 조직 및 학회 강령을 각 회원 및 비회원에게도 편리하게 홍보할 수 있으며, 세계적인 수준의 학회로도 발전해 갈 수 있다.

최근에 많이 소개되는 인터넷을 이용한 교육, 학습의 대부분은 텍스트를 기반으로 하고 이미지를 삽입하는 방식을 이용하여 이루어지고 있다. 이런 방식은 인문, 사회분야의 과목에는 충분한 효과를 기대할 수 있지만 화학, 물리 등의 자연과학 과목에는 충분한 효과를 기대하기 어렵다. 이제는 통신의 발달로 인해 네트워크 사용이 생활화됨으로써 더 이상 VRML(Virtual Reality Modeling Language)이 넷스케이프 네비게이터나 마이크로소프트 인터넷 익스플로러 같은 인터넷 브라우저상에서 3차원 오브젝트만을 보여주는 시기는 지났다. 가상 세계여행 시스템은 최근 급속도로 확장되고 있는 인터넷과 인터넷 응용기술인 VRML, XML(extensible Makeup Language)을 이용하여 아직까지 사진이나 영상으로만 볼 수 있었던 세계의 도시, 건축물에 대한 정보를 3차원으로 구성된 세계여행을 통해 현실감 있는 정보를 제공하기 위해 설계되었다. 시스템의 특징은 세계의 대도시 및 유명 건축물을 VRML과 XML을 이용하여 가상으로 구성하고, 사용자는 프로그램 내에서 자신이 선택한 아바타를 조종하여 그 도시들을 여행함으로써 가상 공간 내에서 세계여행을 할 수 있다는 것이다. 또한 사용자는 여행중인 다른 아바타와의 채팅이 가능하고 도우미 아바타에게 궁금한 점을 질문할 수도 있다.

This paper introduced Internet totally, which is continuously changing, for the aspect of service-improvement to users. Particulary, the concepts, the features and methods of Gopher, Veronica, Archie, WAIS and WWW which are used broadly in the aspect of information retrieval, have been introduced with command-language in Internet. Among them, this paper intends not only to describe in detail the use of Web-browser's method but also to explain about the search engine which is provided in the large online service on the base of actual experience.

In the paper, the design and the implementation of the netscape plug-in and the speech synthesis enginegenerating the speech sounds from the text information of the web pages are described. The steps of the generating speech sound from an web pages are the speech synthesis plug-in is activated when the netscape finds the audio/xesp MIME data type embedded in the browsed web page; the HTML file referenced in the EMBED MTML tag is down loaded from the referenced URL to send to the commander object located in the said plug-in; The speech synthesis engine control tags and the text characters are extracted from the down loaded HTML document by the commander object the synthesized speech sounds are generated by the speech synthesis engine. The speech synthesis engine interprets the command streams from the commander objects to call the member functions for the processing of the speech segment data in the data banks. The commander object and the speech synthesis engine are designed as an independent object to enhancethe flexitility and the portability.
