As the speed of network has fastened and the Internet has became common, an ill-intentioned aggression, such as worm and E-mail virus rapidly increased. So that there too many defenses created the recent Intrusion detection system as well as the Intrusion Prevention Systems to defense the malicious aggression to the network. Also as the form of malicious aggression has changed, at the same time the method of defense has changed. There is "snort" the most representive method of defense and its Rules file increases due to the change of aggression form. This causes decline of capability for detection. This paper suggest, design, and realize the structure for the improvement of processing capability by separating the files of Snort Rule according to o/s. This system show more improvement of the processing capability than the existing composion.

With the network environment and user's application service increasing information protection and private information protection fields are very important fields. But it is necessary detection methodology to unspecified unknown signal, information increasing and various information media. Therefore in this thesis, we design NIDS that classify others information for detection of the unknown signal as the unauthenticated signal or illegal outer access, etc. proposed NIDS design used Synopsys Ver. 1999 and VHDL. The proposed NIDS system is practical in the system performance and cost for the individually existed NIDS, and utilized a part of system resources.
In this paper we present the architecture of intrusion detection system that enhances the performance of system and the correctness of intrusion detection. A network intrusion is usually composed of several steps of action taken by the attackers. Each action in the steps can be characterized by its signature. But normal and non-intrusive action can also include the same signature, It can result in incorrect detection. The presented system uses the correlation of series of signatures that consist of an intrusion. So Its decision on an intrusion is highly reliable. And variations of known intrusions can easily be detected without any knowledge of the variations.

This paper proposes a network intrusion detection system that identifies abnormal flows within the network. The majority of datasets commonly used in research lack time-series information, making it challenging to improve detection rates for attacks with fewer instances due to a scarcity of sample data. However, there is insufficient research regarding detection approaches. In this study, we build upon previous research by using the Artificial neural network(ANN) model and a stack ensemble technique in our approach. To address the aforementioned issues, we incorporate temporal information by leveraging adjacent flows and enhance the learning of samples from sparse attacks, thereby improving both the overall detection rate and the detection rate for sparse attacks.
This paper implements an intrusion detection message exchange protocol library (IDMEPL) for SDMS-RTIR, which Korea Information Security Agency (KISA) has developed to hierarchically detect and respond to network vulnerability scan attacks. The IDMEPL, based on the IDMEF and the IAP of the IDWG, enables SDMS-RTIR to interact with other intrusion detection systems (IDS) in realtime, and supports the TLS protocol to prevent security threats in exchanging messages between its server and its agents. Especially, with the protocol selection stage, the IDMEPL can support various protocols such as the IDXP besides the IAP. Furthermore, it can allow for agents to choose an appropriate security protocol for their own network, achieving security stronger than mutual authentication. With the IDMEPL, SDMS-RTIR can receive massive intrusion detection messages from heterogeneous IDSes in large-scale networks and analyze them.
It's difficult to check cyber attacks and the performance of a security system in a real large-scale network. Generally, a new security system or the effect of a new security attack are checked by simulation. We use SSFNet to simulate our security system and cyber attack. SSFNet is an event-driven simulation tools based on process, which has a strength to be capable of expressing a large-scale network. But it doesn't offer any API's which can manipulate not only the related function of security but also the packet. In this paper, we developed a firewall and IPS class, used for a security system, and added to them components of SSFNet. The firewall is modelled a security system based on packet filtering. We checked the function of the firewall and the IPS with network modelled as using our SSFNet. The firewall blocks packets through rules of an address and port of packets. The result of this simulation shows that we can check a status of packets through a log screen of IPS installed in a router and confirm abnormal packet to be dropped.
The weak foundation of the computing environment caused information leakage and hacking to be uncontrollable, Therefore, dynamic control of security threats and real-time reaction to identical or similar types of accidents after intrusion are considered to be important, h one of the solutions to solve the problem, studies on intrusion detection systems are actively being conducted. To improve the anomaly IDS using system calls, this study focuses on neural networks learning using the soundex algorithm which is designed to change feature selection and variable length data into a fixed length learning pattern, That Is, by changing variable length sequential system call data into a fixed iength behavior pattern using the soundex algorithm, this study conducted neural networks learning by using a backpropagation algorithm. The backpropagation neural networks technique is applied for anomaly detection of system calls using Sendmail Data of UNM to demonstrate its performance.
By the help of expansion of computer network and rapid growth of Internet, the information infrastructure is now able to provide a wide range of services. Especially open architecture - the inherent nature of Internet - has not only got in the way of offering QoS service, managing networks, but also made the users vulnerable to both the threat of backing and the issue of information leak. Thus, people recognized the importance of both taking active, prompt and real-time action against intrusion threat, and at the same time, analyzing the similar patterns of in-trusion already known. There are now many researches underway on Intrusion Detection System(IDS). The paper carries research on the in-trusion detection system which hired supervised learning algorithm and Fuzzy membership function especially with Neuro-Fuzzy model in order to improve its performance. It modifies tansigmoid transfer function of Neural Networks into fuzzy membership function, so that it can reduce the uncertainty of anomaly intrusion detection. Finally, the fuzzy logic suggested here has been applied to a network-based anomaly intrusion detection system, tested against intrusion data offered by DARPA 2000 Intrusion Data Sets, and proven that it overcomes the shortcomings that Anomaly Intrusion Detection usually has.

There is a tremendous increase in the growth of Internet making people's life easy. The rapid growth in technology has caused misuse of the Internet like cyber Crime. There are several vulnerabilities in current firewall and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) of the Network Computing resources. Automatic real time station chase techniques can track the internet invader and reduce the probability of hacking Due to the recent trends the station chase technique has become inevitable. In this paper, we design and implement Active Security system using ICMP Traceback message. In this design no need to modify the router structure and we can deploy this technique in larger network. Our Implementation shows that ICMP Traceback system is safe to deploy and protect data in Internet from hackers and others.

Recently Deep Learning technology, one of the fourth industrial revolution technologies, is used to identify the hidden meaning of network data that is difficult to detect in the security arena and to predict attacks. Property and quality analysis of data sources are required before selecting the deep learning algorithm to be used for intrusion detection. This is because it affects the detection method depending on the contamination of the data used for learning. Therefore, the characteristics of the data should be identified and the characteristics selected. In this paper, the characteristics of malware were analyzed using network data set and the effect of each feature on performance was analyzed when the deep learning model was applied. The traffic classification experiment was conducted on the comparison of characteristics according to network characteristics and 96.52% accuracy was classified based on the selected characteristics.
