ATM and Ethernet are desirable transport mechanisms for the realization MAN(Metropolitan Area Networks). A relatively small sized switching system for MAN based on ATM is proposed and its performance is evaluated in this paper. For the performance evaluation, traffics should be firstly modeled because they are highly bursty. By varing the ratio of VBR traffics, detrimental effect of VBR traffics may be observed. Traffic load at each input port is also varied, From the results of simulation, operation conditions of the system to meet required QoS are obtained.

This paper mentions a centralized approach based on SNMP protocol and distributed approach based on mobile agent in network management s system. And it presents a few Quantitative models for systematically evaluating those two different approaches. To do this, we propose model m that is applicable under a uniform network environment, and compare network execution times of each paradigms based on parameters from s simulation. The model is then refined to take into account non-uniform networks. We show that it can reduce overall network execution times b by determining the best interaction patterns to perfo$\pi$n network management operations from this model. We believe that the model proposed h here should help us to decide appropriate paradigms and interaction patterns for developing network management applications.

본 논문에서는 이동 애드 혹 네트워크의 성능 개선을 위한 방안으로 네트워크 중간에 고정 노드를 부가하여 어느 정도의 성능 향상이 있는지를 모의 실험을 통하여 평가하였다. 모의 실험 결과 이동 노드만을 사용했을 경우보다 고정노드를 함께 사용했을 때의 성능이 더 뛰어남을 알 수 있었고, 이동 노드의 이동 속도에 따른 비교에서도 고정 노드를 함께 사용한 경우가 성능이 더 뛰어남을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 고정 노드의 개수에 따른 성능평가에서는 고정 노드를 여러 대 사용할수록 지연시간이 단축됨을 확인 할 수 있었다. 본 연구에서 제안한 방식은 이동 애드 혹 네트워크의 중간에 고정 노드를 부가하여야 하는 문제가 있으나, 비용과 처리율과의 관계를 비교한 후 비용 상승에도 불구하고 보다 높은 신뢰성과 빠른 처리율을 원하는 네트워크에 사용하면 효과적일 것이다. 향 후 본 절의 연구 결과에 이어서 애드 혹 네트워크에 몇 대의 고정 노드를 추가해야 하는지에 대한 연구가 이루어진다면 보다 높은 신뢰성을 가진 애드 혹 네트워크가 구축될 수 있을 것이다.

As the internet traffic type and size have bun diversified in recent years, the GMPLS-based distributed control and management protocol have surfaced as a serious issue for dynamic optical lightpath setup. In this reason, we investigated and analyzed network performance and protocols using global information-based link state approach and local information based link state approach. We calculated connection setup time, required control bandwidth and setup blocking probability that made from network update period and threshold metrics according to traffic arrival rate. The evaluated results will be used in broadband network and adopted for high speed network in the future widely.

차량 내에 장착되는 전장품의 기능과 성능의 중요성은 점점 중요해지고 있다. 이에 따라, 자동차 내의 멀티미디어 기기인 오디오, 내비게이터, 스피커 등을 네트워크로 연결하여 사용자 편의성을 증대하고 첨단화 하는 시도로써 MOST(media oriented systems transport) 네트워크가 제안 되었다 네트워크 통합화의 추세에 따라, 멀티미디어 전용 네트워크인 MOST를 차량용 제어 네트워크인 CAN에 접속하여 그 성능을 평가한다.

인터넷의 발달로 네트워크 업무가 점점 더 많이 도입이 됨으로써 네트워크 상에 노출되어 있는 데이터와 시스템들의 보안은 중대한 문제로 대두되기 시작했다. 그러나 장비나 소프트웨어 등의 보안성과 보안성능 평가에 대한 기준이 명확하지 않아 이들의 객관적인 평가에 많은 어려움이 따르고 있다. 본 논문에서는 관련 연구 기관들의 평가 방법들을 분석하여 이들을 객관적으로 평가 할 수 있는 방법을 제시하고자 한다.

This paper proposes the fuzzy closed RCMP queueing network model using fuzzy set theory for the performance evaluation of centralized distributed processing system with ambiguous system factors in the network environments. This model can derive the measures for system performances such as the job spending time, the system throughput, average job number and server utilizations using fuzzy mean value analysis which can process the fuzzy factors. Computer simulation has been performed centralized distributed system with fuzzy service requirement time for verifying the effectiveness of derived equations of performance evaluation according to the numbers of clients, and the results were analyzed. The proposed model provides more and flexible realistic than performance evaluation of conventional method when we evaluated system performance with ambiguous factors.

This study will represent an evaluating model for network security based on checklist. In addition, we propose an measuring and evaluating method for network performance. The purpose of two studies is to present the evaluating procedure and method for measuring security of network on set workwill be identified and a measuring method and procedure will be proposed.

Which has the ambiguous service requirements of job to servers and service rates of server according to network environments.
