작업환경을 위한 TLV의 근거 - TOLUENE-2.4 OR 2,6-DIISOCYANATE (or as a MIXTURE)(1)

  • 톨루엔-2,4-디이소시아네이트, 톨루엔-2,6-디이소시아네이트 각각 또는 두 이성체 혼합물(TDI)에 대하여 TLV-TWA는 0.005 ppm, TLV-STEL은 0.02 ppm으로 직업적 노출기준을 권고하고 있다. 본 수치는 호흡기에 대한 영향과 과민성 반응에 대한 높은 발생 가능성을 최소화하기 위한 것이다. 산업현장에서 증기상 TDI 물질은 점막, 호흡기계에 심한 자극을 일으켜 천식과 같은 증후군 등 급성 발작을 유발한다. 고농도에 노출시 심한 기관지 경련, 폐렴, 폐부종, 두통, 불면증과 기관지염으로 이어질 수 있다. TDI에 상당 부분 노출되면 대부분의 사람들은 위와 같은 건강 영향을 경험하게 된다. 심지어 처음 노출되었을 경우에도 발생된다. TDI 노출 관련 연구자들은 일반 근로자들이 0.02 ppm 수준 정도로 가끔 노출되는 경우 건강 영향을 받지 않으나, 0.02 ppm이 무영향 수준으로 간주될 수 있는 그 어떠한 증거도 없다고 결론을 내렸다. TDI에 일단 감작되면 몇몇 근로자들은 노출 중단 후에도 몇 년 동안 건강 영향 증세가 지속된다. 따라서 감작제 표기는 호흡 노출을 통한 알레르기성 감작 증세의 명확한 증거로서 권고된다. A4(비발암성 물질) 표기는 생쥐와 흰쥐들을 대상으로 수행된 위장관 투여 연구와 흡입 연구들을 통해 얻어진 동물 노출 데이터에 근거하여 설정되었다. 불충분한 데이터로 피부 표기는 권고되지 않았다.

Recovery of Cobalt from the Wastewater produced during Malonate Process by Solvent Extraction (말로네이트 제조 공정 폐수로부터 코발트 회수: 용매추출법 적용)

  • The solvent extraction method was applied on the wastewater produced during malonate(malonic acid esters) process to recover cobalt. DEHPA and PC88A were used as organic solvent From separation funnel experiment(batch experiment), the effects of vari- ous parameters (pH, cobalt concentration, reaction rate, and stripping temperature) on solvent extraction were examined and these data were used to derive equilibrium curve. A mixer-settler experiment (continuous experiment) of bench scale was also carried out for the plant construction and a Mccabe-Thiele diagram was obtained. The results of these experiments indicate that cobalt is recoverable above 99 oyo and that its purity as cobalt sulfate Is higher than 99.9 wt%.

Hydrogen Evolution Properties of Alanate-based Hydrogen Storage Materials (알라네이트 계 수소 저장 물질의 수소 방출 특성)

  • Alanate-based materials, which were known to have high hydrogen storage capacity, were synthesized by mechanochemically metathesis reaction of metal chloride and sodium alanate without solvent. XRD patterns of synthesized materials showed that metathesis reaction of cations between metal chloride and sodium alanate was progressed favorably without any solvent. Magnesium alanate showed that 3.2 wt.% of hydrogen was evolved by the thermal decomposition. The addition of a small amount of Ti to the magnesium alanate greatly reduced hydrogen evolution temperature. Also, Ti doped magnesium alanate had a good regeneration property. Both the calcium and lithium-magnesium alanate showed the lower starting temperature of the two step hydrogen evolution and fast kinetics for the hydrogen evolution.

  • This study analyzes performance-weight ratio of polycarbonate(PC) pigpen and steel pigpen. The finite element models using the ANSYS program described in this paper is attractive not only because it shows excellent accuracy in analysis but also it shows the benefit of parameter study by using APDL. We have performed a parameter study by the width variation of PC pigpen. And we compared and analyzed the results of PC pigpen and steel pigpen. From the numerical examples, we confirmed the validity of PC pigpen.

A Study on Rheological Properties of Polypropylene/Polycarbonate Blends (폴리프로필렌/폴리카보네이트 블렌드의 유변학적 성질에 관한연구)

  • 폴리프로필렌(PP)/폴리카보네이트(PC) 블렌드의 유변학적 고찰을 통해 블렌드의 수 축현상과 분상상의 변형의 연관성을 연구했다. 블렌드의 수축현상은 압축과정에서 변형됐던 분산상이 고온에서 다시 원래의 무변형 상태로 복귀하면서 나타나는 탄성변형의 풀림으로 추정되고 압출팽윤의 데이터와도 부합된다. 압출온도를 최대한 낮게 해서(25$0^{\circ}C$) 제조한 블 렌드의 경우가 최대한 높게 한 경우 (29$0^{\circ}C$)보다 수축이더 큰 사실을 설명하기 위하여 순수 PC와 PP의 전단점도비와 신장점도비를 측정 비교한 결과 두 값이 공히 높은 온도의 경우 가 오히려 작게 되어 점성에 의한 분산상의 전단변형이나 신장변형이 수축의 원인이 아니라 는 것을 알아다. 한편 법선응력과 전단응력의 데이터로부터 얻은 물질풀림시간의 비는 낮은 온도의 경우가 작아서 수축현상이 분산상의 탄성에 의한 변형이라는 것을 확인했다.

  • This study analyzes performance-cost ratio of various polycarbonate(PC) pigpen. The finite element models using the ANSYS program described in this paper is attractive not only because it shows excellent accuracy in analysis but also it shows the benefit of parameter study by using APDL. We have performed various parameter study of total 6 models. And we compared and analyzed the results of 6 models. From the numerical examples, we recommend model M2. Model M2 is PC pigpen with steel in PC.

  • Creep characteristic is an important failure mechanism when evaluating engineering materials that are soft material as polymers or used as mechanical elements at high temperatures. One of the popular thermo-elastic polymers, Polycarbonate(PC) which is used broadly for engineering polymer, as it has excellent mechanical and thermal properties compared to other polymers, was studied for creep characteristic at various level of stresses and temperatures. From the experimental results, the creep limit of PC at room temperature is 85 % of tensile strength. which is higher than PE (75%)at room temperature. Also the creep limits decreased exponentially as the temperatures increased, up to 50 % of the melting point($267^{\circ}C$). Also the first and third stage among the three creep stages was non-existent nor was there any rupture failure which occurred for many metals.

  • The information related to the interaction energy between repeat units is essential for the production of useful polymer blends via molecular structure design. Based on the interaction energies obtained here, a method for the fabrication of miscible blend was suggested. An investigation related to the equilibrium phase behavior of polymer blends of various polycarbonates with various polymethacrylates was performed and then based on the obtained interaction information miscible polymer blends were produced by controling molecular structure of polymer. Binary interaction energies between repeat units were calculated from the lower critical solution temperature-type phase boundary using an equation of state combined with binary interaction model.

  • A new spiro-ortho carbonate containing bulky side group, 3,9-di-(9,10-dihydro-9,10-ethanoanthracenyl)-1,5,7,11-tetraoxaspiro-5,5-undecane 4 was prepared and polymerized with BF3${\cdot}$etherate as initiator. Densities of monomer and polymer were measured using dilatometer and it was demonstrated that the bicyclic monomer 4 underwent expansion on polymerization.

  • 타겟 전압 제어를 통한 반응성 스퍼터링 방법과 유도결합 플라즈마(ICP: inductively coupled plasma)를 통해 산화알루미늄 박막을 증착하였다. 폴리카보네이트 기판과 산화알루미늄 박막사이의 접착력은 플라즈마 표면처리 하여 향상시켰다. 박막 특성은 ICP power 변화에 대한 경도, 구조, 밀도변화, 투과율, 증착속도, 표면 거칠기 및 잔류응력을 조사하여 보호코팅으로서 성능을 평가하였다.
