  • 부분축열을 기준으로 주로 300RT급 이상에서 주로 보급되고 있으며, 하계 전력수요를 심야로 이전시켜 전력사용의 효율성을 높일 수 있으며 동시에 하계발전설비를 회피할 수 있는 측냉식냉방에 대한 회피비용을 분석하고자 한다. 가격, 비용, 요금 등의 자료를 조사하여 이를 토대로 캘리포니아테스트(RIM, P, UC, TRC)를 분석하여 그 결과를 통해 적정 지원금여부를 판단하고자 한다. 또한 이에 대한 비교대상으로 중대형급에서 같이 보급되고 있는 가스 흡수식 냉방시스템과 비교 분석하고자 한다.

Development of Control Algorithm for Greenhouse Cooling Using Two-fluid Fogging System (이류체 포그 냉방시스템의 제어알고리즘 개발)

  • In order to develop the efficient control algorithm of the two-fluid fogging system, cooling experiments for the many different types of fogging cycles were conducted in tomato greenhouses. It showed that the cooling effect was 1.2 to $4.0^{\circ}C$ and the cooling efficiency was 8.2 to 32.9% on average. The cooling efficiency with fogging interval was highest in the case of the fogging cycle of 90 seconds. The cooling efficiency showed a tendency to increase as the fogging time increased and the stopping time decreased. As the spray rate of fog in the two-fluid fogging system increased, there was a tendency for the cooling efficiency to improve. However, as the inside air approaches its saturation level, even though the spray rate of fog increases, it does not lead to further evaporation. Thus, it can be inferred that increasing the spray rate of fog before the inside air reaches the saturation level could make higher the cooling efficiency. As cooling efficiency increases, the saturation deficit of inside air decreased and the difference between absolute humidity of inside and outside air increased. The more fog evaporated, the difference between absolute humidity of inside and outside air tended to increase and as the result, the discharge of vapor due to ventilation occurs more easily, which again lead to an increase in the evaporation rate and ultimately increase in the cooling efficiency. Regression analysis result on the saturation deficit of inside air showed that the fogging time needed to change of saturation deficit of $10g{\cdot}kg^{-1}$ was 120 seconds and stopping time was 60 seconds. But in order to decrease the amplitude of temperature and to increase the cooling efficiency, the fluctuation range of saturation deficit was set to $5g{\cdot}kg^{-1}$ and we decided that the fogging-stopping time of 60-30 seconds was more appropriate. Control types of two-fluid fogging systems were classified as computer control or simple control, and their control algorithms were derived. We recommend that if the two-fluid fogging system is controlled by manipulating only the set point of temperature, humidity, and on-off time, it would be best to set up the on-off time at 60-30 seconds in time control, the lower limit of air temperature at 30 to $32^{\circ}C$ and the upper limit of relative humidity at 85 to 90%.

  • Field tests of hybrid desiccant cooling systems were conducted from July to August 2011. Data were monitored and transferred in real time over the Internet. The monitored variableswere analyzed to determine the performance characteristics under outdoor conditions. A series of system simulations has been conducted for outdoor conditions of the field tests. The results agree well with the experimental data in general. The system performance has been shown to deteriorate for wetter conditions, as predicted by the simulation.

Application of Low Pressure Fogging System for Commercial Tomato Greenhouse Cooling (상업용 토마토온실 냉방을 위한 저압분무식 포그시스템의 적용)

  • The objective of the present study is to identify the applicability of a low pressure fogging system for cooling commercial tomato greenhouse. In particular, the cooling system in this experiment utilizes low pressure spray nozzles which were developed in Korea recently. The experimental result that the temperature in fog-cooled greenhouse was lower than the non-cooled greenhouse showed the cooling effect by the low pressure fogging system. But because the relative humidity in fog-cooled greenhouse was comparatively low, the satisfactory cooling effect could be acquired by narrowing the space of fog nozzles and extending fogging time to supply more fog spray quantity. The variation of temperature distribution in fog-cooled greenhouse along timelag was insignificant during short time, but that was great during long period of day. This result showed the variation of temperature along timelag was slight by fog cooling but great by other factors like radiation, ventilation, air flow, etc. The advanced operation technology of fog system was required to reduce the variation of temperature along time lag. We plan to suggest the advanced installation and operation technology of low pressure fogging system for cooling commercial tomato greenhouse by further experiments in near future.

  • The objective of this study is to investigate performance characteristics of the thermal management system for passenger hydrogen fuel cell vehicle under various operating conditions. The thermal management systems comprised of a stack cooling system, an electric device cooling system and an air conditioning system for a passenger room were tested with driving conditions. As a result, in highway driving mode, the cooling performance of the stack cooling system with air conditioning on condition was 28.8 % lower than that of the air conditioning off condition. And cooling load of the electric cooling system in the city driving mode was 65.6% higher than that of the highway driving mode.

  • 태양열 제습냉방은 액체흡수제를 이용한 냉각효과로 기존의 전기에너지를 가능케 하는 해결책중 하나이다. 따라서 태양열을 거의 활용하지 않는 여름에 가열온수를 열원으로 활용하여 쾌적조건을 구현하는 본 연구의 대상인 태양열냉방시스템은 제습기와 재생기로 크게 이루어져 있다. 본 논문은 제습기의 유량 변화에 따른 열전달 및 물질전달의 변화를 실험과 이론적 해석으로 규명하고 있는데, 흐름의 양상은 병렬형과 대향류형을 대상으로 하고 있다. 실험결과와 이론해석이 비교적 잘 일치하였으며, 대향류형이 병렬형보다도 물질전달 면에서 유리하게 나타났으며, 입 출구의 엔탈피 차이에서도 크서 열전달에서도 우수한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 그 차이를 본 논문에서는 나타내었으며, 일정한 높이나 길이 이상에서는 항상 일정함을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 본 논문의 결과들은 제습기의 유동흐름을 통한 태양열냉방시스템 중 제습기의 설계 및 성능 향상에 도움을 줄 것이다.

  • In this study, the effects of various control methods of outdoor air cooling control system on control characteristics and energy consumption in building are researched by simulation. The system analysis modelling is done by using TRNSYS program package, and the control performances with existing outdoor air cooling methods are compared with the control ones without outdoor air cooling. As a result, appropriate operating temperature conditions of outdoor air cooling system according to outdoor temperature changes are required, and the outdoor air/return air dry bulb temperature comparison control method among the control methods shows best responses in energy savings.

  • In this study, a comparative analysis between an electric heat pump cooling system and a hybrid desiccant cooling system is conducted. Desiccant cooling is a thermal driven system with potentially lower electric power consumption than electric heat pump. Hybrid desiccant cooling system simulation includes components such as a desiccant rotor, direct and indirect evaporative coolers, heat exchangers, fans, and a heat pump system. Using dynamic simulations by climate conditions, house cooling temperatures and power consumption for both systems are analyzed for 16 days period in the summer season under climate scenarios for the year 2100 prediction. The results reveal that the hybrid desiccant cooling system exhibits a 5-18% reduction in electric consumption compared to the heat pump system.

  • In this paper, the TOU tariff's based building indoor temperature control algorithm in cooling systems is proposed using control horizon method. A control horizon switching method and linear programming algorithm is used for optimal control, and both TOU and peak tariffs are included to calculate the energy costs. Simulation results show that the reductions of energy cost and peak power can be obtained using proposed algorithms.
