Experimental Study on Cooling Performance of Multi-Heat Pump by Indoor-Unit Combination (실내기 조합에 따른 3실형 열펌프의 냉방성능 실험연구)

  • In order to investigate the cooling capacity of multi-heat pump applying an inverter compressor, the experiment on the cooling performance characteristics of heat pump with 3 indoor units was performed under the cooling standard and cooling low-temperature conditions. The system data were measured by the psychrometric calorimeter. The operation characteristics and the behavior of the cooling cycle of the heat pump with 3 indoor units were understood from the cooling capacity, COP, and P-h diagram by indoor-unit combination. The operating load and performance of the multi-heat pump depends on the indoor-unit combination. The cooling capacity and COP of the low temperature condition were larger than those of the standard one. Also the cycle was analyzed by using P-h diagram.

  • 빙축열 시스템과 같은 열교환 시스템을 이용하여 심야의 전력 경부하 시 주간에 이용할 냉방부하를 축열하였다가 주간에 공급함으로써 전력의 평준화와 전력 설비의 효율적 운용을 기할 수 있어 전력의 안정적인 수급과 에너지의 효율을 극대화할 수 있다. 하지만 빙축열 시스템의 제어 운전을 전적으로 운전자의 경험에 의존하는 경우에 충분한 냉방 부하를 공급하기 위한 잉여축열에너지가 비경제적으로 많아져서 빙축열 시스템의 경제성이 저하되고 사용 효과가 낮아지는 문제점이 많이 발생되고 있다. 경제적인 활용 효과를 고려하여 빙축열 시스템을 효율적으로 운용하기 위해서는 냉방부하량이 기후 특성에 의해 결정되므로 기후를 정확하게 예측하고 이를 토대로 다음날의 시간별 냉방부하를 예측하여 적정한 축열량을 결정하여야 하는 어려움이 따른다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 본 연구에서는 신경망을 이용하여 기상 데이터를 토대로 다음날의 온도와 습도를 예측하고 예측된 온도와 습도 및 냉방부하 실적 자료를 기반으로 신경망을 이용하여 시간별 냉방부하를 예측하는 알고리즘을 제시하였다. 제안된 냉방 부하예측 알고리즘에 의해 구축된 한국전력공사 속초생활연수원의 부하예측모델을 이용하여 온도, 습도, 냉방부하를 예측한 결과 기존 방법에 의한 것보다 우수한 예측 성능을 보였다.

Temperature characteristics of condenser and evaporator of Air-conditioner applying variable capacity compressor under cooling condition (가변용량 압축기를 적용한 에어컨의 냉방운전 시 응축 및 증발온도 특성)

  • In order to investigate the cooling capacity of an air-conditioner applying a variable capacity compressor and the temperature characteristics on a condenser and an evaporator, the experiment on the operation characteristics of the air-conditioner was performed along a compressor operation ratio and an indoor/outdoor temperatures, under a cooling operation mode. The system characteristics were measured by the psychrometric calorimeter. The cooling capacity increased with decreasing the outdoor temperature and increasing the indoor temperature. Also, it increased with increasing the compressor operation ratio. The temperature of the condenser was more sensitive for the variation of the outdoor temperature and the temperature of the evaporator was more sensitive for the variation of the indoor temperature. The operation characteristics of the cycle used in this present were also analyzed by a pressure-enthalpy chart.

  • The purpose of this study is to provide fundamental cooling design data for the large public enclosures as gymnasium. This study executed indoor thermal environment verification of the existing gymnasium by measuring temperature distribution with and without cooling the space in summer. Colling loads from human body was not considered. We examined various indoor thermal environment factors of the large enclosed space in this study which include vertical and horizontal temperature distribution, supply and return air flow feature, thermal comfort environment feature, amount of ventilation and etc.

  • The objective of this study is to investigate cooling performance characteristics of mobile air conditioning system using R744 as an alternative of R-134a. In order to analyze the cooling performance characteristics of the air conditioning system using R744 for a passenger vehicle, the developed air conditioning system using R744 was applied in a real passenger vehicle and tested under various operating conditions with the variation of gas-cooler inlet air conditions, evaporator inlet air temperatures and compressor speeds. As a result, cooling capacity and coefficient of performance (COP) of the tested air conditioning system decreased with the rise of the inlet air temperature of the gas cooler but increased with the rise of the inlet air temperature of the evaporator. In addition, cooling capacity and coefficient of performance (COP) increased by 42.2 % with the rise of the compressor speed from 900 rev/min to 1800 rev/min, but it decreased by 55.4%.

  • Generally, the generation methods of cooling energy are electric air conditioning (EAC) and gas air conditioning (GAC). The EAC system is caused by increasing peak power during summer. Because the electric energy has a characteristic of non-storage, the peak electric load has been issued social problem annually whether the facility to supply is enough or not. Another way to supply cooling energy, GAC system is worked by gas energy. The absorption chiller and gas engine heat pump have been commercialized for cooling. However, the total capacity of GAC is much less than EAC and it almost depends on EAC for small market. This paper described the status of cooling energy consumption in domestic and expected the cooling energy to be consumed by electric and gas energy up to 2024 year. And also the benefit of GAC was analyzed with the case of its expansion and it was aimed to give background to fit the GAC policy.

  • The objective of this study is to investigate the cooling performance of the roof mounted air-conditioning system using electric driven scroll compressor for zero emission vehicles. This air conditioner with air source was used R-134a as a refrigerant and tested under various operating conditions such as refrigerant charge amount and indoor temperature, and compressor frequencies. Experimental results revealed that at all tested compressor frequencies, heat transfer rate of the evaporator increased and the cooling COP increased with the indoor temperature. In addition, the heat transfer rate of the evaporator was over 25.0kW sufficient for the cooling loads of an electric bus.

  • 전화국사 내 교환기의 신설이나 증설 시에 최적의 열부하 산정이 필요하다. 이를 위해 전화국사의 특성에 알맞은 열부하 계산 프로그램을 윈도우용으로 개발하여 비전문가들도 쉽게 사용할 수 있도록 하고자 한다. 프로그램 구성은 기본자료입력부, 전화국사의 자료입력부, 입력된 데이터를 이용하여 국사의 냉방부하와 냉방시스템의 용량을 계산하는 부분 그리고 출력부분으로 크게 4부분으로 나눌 수 있다. 본 프로그램을 이용하여 한국통신 중앙전화국 5ESS실의 냉방기기용량을 산정해 본 결과, 기존 냉방기기 69USRT의 49%에 해당되는 33.5USRT로 나타나 기존 냉방기기의 용량이 너무 과다하게 선정되었음이 판명되었다. 본 프로그램은 전화국사의 에너지 절약에 기여할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

  • The objective of this study was to investigate the cooling performance characteristics of a hybrid refrigeration system in a heavy duty vehicle. The tested hybrid refrigeration system had additionally an electric compressor besides the present mechanical compressor for selective use according to the operating conditions. The applied electric compressor was a scroll type and with 18.0 cc displacement. In order to analyze the performance characteristics of the hybrid refrigeration system with respect to the cooling capacity and Coefficient of Performance (COP), other components, including two different types of compressors, were installed and tested under various operating conditions such as compressor speed and air flow rate of the evaporator. When the electric compressor was operated at 4,500 rev/min, the cooling capacity was about 4.0kW and COP was 3.5. When the mechanical compressor was operated, whereas the cooling capacity was higher than the electric controlled compressor, COP was lower due to the larger displacement and higher power consumption. To analyze the hybrid system operating characteristics due to reasonable cooling capacity with electric compressor operation, the mechanical compressor and electric compressor were operated by turns every 10 minutes under certain system operating conditions. Because surge pressure occurred when both compressors were switched on, the operating strategy required some time to balance the system pressure.

  • Metal hydride올 이용하는 냉방시스템은 다른 냉방시스템과 비교하여 환경 친화적이며 Clean technology라는 장점이 있다. 이러한 시스템 중에 최근에 많은 연구가 진행중인 Electric Compressor로 수소의 이동이 제어되는 Compressor-Driven Metal Hydride Heat Pump(CDMHHP)은 폐열원의 온도에 의해 제어되는 시스템에 비하여 cooling power가 크다는 장점과 함께 단속적인 냉방이 아닌 2개의 함금쌍으로도 연속적인 냉방이 가능하다는 장점이 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 CDMHHP system의 동작특성을 분석하기 위해서 2개의 반응관에 고용량과 solping 특성이 매우 우수한 $Zr_{0.9}Ti_{0.1}Cr_{0.55}Fe_{1.45}$ Laves phase metal hydride을 장입하여 시스템을 구성하고 cycle time, surrounding temperature, 장입 수소량, 수소이동량등의 동작조건을 최적화 한 결과 최대 cooling power가 251 kcal/kg-alloyh의 우수한 성능을 보였다.
