A Simple Dynamic Model of Maintenance Expenditures : Theory and Empirical Evidence (내구재 관리비용의 동적인 행태 연구 - 이론 및 경험적 분석 -)

  • 교통자산과 같은 내구재는 일정 기간 동안의 수명을 가지게 된다. 이 기간 동안에 내구재는 어떠한 형태로 소비되어 지고 이에 따라 내구재는 효율성을 잃어 간다. 내구재를 효율적으로 사용하기 위해서는 적절한 관리를 필요로 한다. 본 연구는 내구재를 효율적으로 사용하기 위해 필요한 관리비용의 동적형태를 이론적으로 고찰한 다음, 미국에서의 업무용 비행기의 관리비용자료를 사용하여 경험적인 결과를 제시한다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. (1) 관리비용은 시간이 감에 따라 줄어든다. 그러나 관리비용의 잠재가격(Shadow Price)에 대한 비율은 여러 가지 외적변수들에 결정된다. (2) 미국에서의 업무용 비행기의 시장가격에 대한 관리비용의 비율은 시간이 감에 따라 늘어난다.

Consumer Durables and (S, s) Policy: Evidence from Panel Data (내구재 소비와 (S, s)모형: 가계패널자료 분석)

  • Using Korean household data, this paper examines how consumption of durable goods is determined. Previous studies report that the standard Permanent Income Hypothesis (PIH), while being broadly consistent with non-durable goods consumption, provides little explanation for durable goods consumption. In this paper, we consider the (S, s) model as an alternative to the standard PIH. The (S, s) model predicts that, because of fixed adjustment costs, consumers make no adjustment to the durable goods stock until deviation from the optimal level becomes large. When the adjustments are made, the durable goods stock attains the optimal level. In order to test this prediction, we examine the intra-temporal relationship between non-durable goods and durable goods consumption and intertemporal changes in durable goods consumption, using data from the Korean Household Panel Study. The results show that, while the standard PIH is rejected by the data, the (S, s) model is not.

  • 최근 들어 염해, 콘크리트의 탄산화, 동결융해 등의 열화요인 의하여 발생할 수 있는 콘크리트의 내구성에 대한 다양한 연구가 진행되고 있는데, 이러한 열화요인은 독립적이 아닌 복합열화의 형태로 작용하게 되는데, 열화현상을 저감하는 한 방편으로 플라이애쉬와 같은 혼화재를 사용하디도 한다. 플라이애쉬는 유동성 증진을 통한 내구성의 향상과, 수화열 저감을 통한 균열감소 및 장기강도 증진 등의 효과가 있으며, 시멘트를 대체함으로써 경제적인 효과를 유발하는 장점도 가지고 있다. 그러나 플라이애쉬는 품질편차가 크고, 경우에 따라서 미연탄소분에 의한 AE제 흡착 등으로 인한 콘크리트의 내구성 및 강도를 저하시킬 수 있는 요소를 내포하고 있으므로 사용 시 주의가 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 열화를 저감하고, 내구성을 갖는 고강도 콘크리트를 제조하기 위하여 다양한 배합비의 플라이애쉬 혼입 콘크리트를 실험한 후 그 결과를 분석·고찰함으로써 내구성 콘크리트의 제작 시 혼화재로서의 적용성 및 타당성을 검증하고자 하며, 플라이애쉬를 내구성 재료로 그 활용을 극대화하고, 다양한 플라이애쉬의 사용량과 물/결합재비(W/B)에 대하여 내구성이 높은 고강도 콘크리트 제조방법을 범용화하며, 그 품질을 평가하는 것을 목적으로 한다.

  • 본 논문은 전력수요와 내구재의 구매를 결정하는 과정을 모형화하고 소득효과를 추정해 보기 위한 것이다. 효용극대화 원리에 기초하여 개인의 의사결정과 관련된 동시성을 규명하고, 이를 논리적으로 설명할 수 있는 모형을 설정함으로써 전력소비와 관련된 보다 정밀한 정보를 얻을 수 있음을 보이고 있다. 소득효과를 추정하는데 있어서 소득이 소비에 주는 영향을 단기와 장기로 나누어 추정한다. 단기의 경우에는 내구재 보유수준이 정해져 있기 때문에 이용율만 상승한다. 그러나 어느 정도 시간이 지나면 효용을 극대화하기 위하여 내구재 보유수준을 높이고 이에 따라 소비수준이 더 늘어나게 된다는 가설을 미시자료(micro data)를 통해 실증적으로 분석한다. 소득효과는 계절별로, 그리고 소득계층별로 보이는 다양한 분포를 추정한다.

  • Recently, with concentrated social and engineering interests on durability, diversified subsequent researches have been progressed. The Chloride-induced corrosion, carbonation, freeze-thaw etc, deterioration factors of concrete act to concrete not privately but complexly, Fly ash is most frequently used admixture which is using a reduction method of deterioration. And the fly ash effects on improvement of durability with enhancement of fluidity, decrease of crack with reduction of hydration heat, promotion of long-age strength and have a economic advantage which replaces cement as a binding material. But, fly ash have different qualities and occasionally reduce the durability and strength by adhesion of AE admixture with unburned carbon powder etc. In this study, the experiments will take about various replacement ratio of fly ash concrete, and will analyze, consider the results, after these will verify applicability and validity as admixture and binding material.

Estimation on the Durability of High-Strength Concrete using Metakaolin (Metakaolin 혼합 고강도 콘크리트의 내구특성 예측)

  • Metakaolin is a cementitious material for producing high-strength concrete. This material is now used as substitute for silica-fume. In this paper, we did the mechanical and durability test such as compressive/tensile/flexural strength test, chloride ion diffusion, chemical attack and repeated freezing and thawing, carbonation test. In the mechanical tests, 10~15% for binder is optimum substitute rate. And, in the chloride ion diffusion test, according to the increase of substitute of metakaolin & silica-fume for binder, the diffusion coefficient was more reduced. In the chemical attack test, by the filler effect of fine powder such metakaolin and silica-fume, the resistance is more excellent than normal concrete. In the other durability test, the concrete using metakaolin also compared with those of silica-fume substitute concrete. Through these tests, we recognized that metakaolin can be used as a substitute for silica-fume.

  • This research work contributed to a study for the procedure and methodology to assess the fatigue durability for a composite torque link of helicopter landing gear, which was newly developed and fabricated by the resin transfer moulding technique to interchange with metal component. The simulated load spectrum anticipated to be applied to the torque link during its operation life was generated using an advanced method of probabilistic random process, and the fatigue durability was evaluated by the strength degradation approach on the basis of material test data. The full scale fatigue test was also performed and compared with the analysis results.

  • Concrete bridge decks are directly exposed to the severe environmental conditions such as rain water and deicing chemicals resulting in the freeze-thaw action and the rebar corrosion during their service lift. These deteriorations of bridge decks shorten the service lift and consequently they are the major concerns of the maintenance. The high performance concrete (HPC) deck is proposed as the alternative to minimize the deterioration problems. To develop more durable concrete deck, the performance characteristic tests of HPC mixtures were carried out. In this study, 4 different concrete mixtures were used varying the mineral admixtures as the cement replacement; ordinary portland cement (OPC), 20% fly ash (FA),20% fly ash with 4% silica fume (FS), and 40% ground granulated blast-furnace slag (BS). The design compressive strengths of HPC specimens were 27 MPa and 35 MPa, respectively. The results showed that the compressive strength of concrete did not much affect the durability of concrete. HPC with fly ash and silica lune (FS) were turned out to have the good durability and crack resistance.

  • To improve the durability of concrete structure, we usually consider the reduction of water-cement ratio, the increase of concrete cover depth and the use of mineral admixtures. The use of admixtures make concrete more durable and tighten against water in recent papers so it is needed to study more about the relationship between the admixtures and the chloride ion diffusion. Therefore we analyzed the correlation between chloride ion diffusion and physical properties such as compressive strength, void ratio, air permeability of the concrete, and tried to use them as fundamental data for analyzing chloride ion diffusion mechanism of the concrete mixed with mineral admixtures.
