  • The object of this paper is to design a heating control system based on sensor networks for the house, integrated with computing technology. The proposed system can manage the heating by sensing and analyzing the temperature and humidity in apartment house and others. This system also is capable of giving a comfortable circumstances because the interior of a house is in heated by the sensory temperature based control system.

  • 국민소득이 빠르게 증가함에 따라 1990년대 이후 가정용 난방연료의 소비구조 역시 크게 변화하고 있다. 본 연구는 에너지 및 교통수요분석에 많이 사용되는 Multinomial Probit 모형을 이용하여 가정용 난방연료의 선택 행태를 분석하였다. 모형의 추정방법으로는 베이지안(Baysian) 방법론에 의한 Gibbs Sampling기법 (McColluch et al., 2000)을 이용하여 Multinomial probit 모형에서 선택대안이 3개 이상일 경우 발생할 수 있는 추정상의 어려움을 극복하였다. 한국가구패널조사(KHPS) 자료를 이용하여 서울과 경기도 대도시 지역을 대상으로 분석한 결과, 석유와 천연가스가 연탄에 비해 더 밀접한 상호 대체관계를 가지고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 소득이 높은 가구일수록 천연가스에 대한 선호도가 더 높은 것으로 나타나서 향후 공급망 확대에 따라 난방연료용 가스 소비가 더욱 늘어날 것으로 예상된다.

A Study on the Adjustment of Tariff Rates and Construction Fee in Korean District Heating Industry (지역난방사업의 공사비부담금과 열요금 연계조정방안에 관한 연구)

  • Korean district heating companies levy comprehensive construction fee on consumers in the beginning of construction period and the consumers' burden is much higher than those in any other network industries in Korea. It has also many problems such as inappropriate fee calculation method, cross subsidization, property right dispute, etc.. I show that the cut of construction fee by 30% and at the same time, the upward adjustment of tariff rates by 4~6% for 20 years on average will maintain current profitability based on the standard model simulation, I also suggest that fixed charge part of double tariff should be increased to 25% of total tariff and the cut of construction fee should be levied on fixed charge, directly to improve efficiency.

  • The purpose of this study is to provide fundamental heating design data for the large public enclosures as gymnasium. This study executed indoor thermal environment verification of the existing gymnasium by measuring temperature distribution with and without heating the space in winter. Heating loads from human body was not considered. We examined various indoor thermal environment factors of the large enclosed space in this study which include vertical and horizontal temperature distribution, supply and return air flow feature, thermal comfort environment feature, amount of ventilation and etc.

  • 본 연구는 실내 온열환경에 대한 인간의 온냉감을 정밀하게 평가하기 위해 바닥난방이 실시되고 있는 겨울철 아파트의 거실에 대하여 공간내의 온도분포를 조사하는 동시에 신체부위별로 온냉감을 조사하였다. 실내의 온도분포 측정은 서울과 부산의 두 장소에서 실시하였으며, 온냉감에 대한 평가는 서울에서 남자 31명, 여자 71명, 부산에서 남자 11명, 여자 23명에 대하여 수행되었다. 결과는 중앙집중식 난방이 실시되고 있는 거실의 바닥으로부터 10cm높이와 170cm 높이에서의 온도차이는 서울의 아파트가 3.2 $^{\circ}C$, 부산의 아파트가 2.$0^{\circ}C$로 나타났다. 겨울철 실내의 온냉감 조사는 하루 3 회 실시되었으며, 신체의 3개부위에 대한 온냉감과 전체적인 온냉감이 7점 척도로 평가되었다. 결과는 발과 얼굴, 무릎과 얼굴, 발과 전신사이에 온냉감의 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 발과 무릎 부위가 얼굴에 비하여 추운느낌을 강하게 가지며, 전체적인 온냉감은 얼굴부위에서의 평가와 유사한 수준을 나타냈다. 난방이 단순한 온도조절의 범위를 넘어 인체의 온열쾌적감을 만족시키기 위해서는 신체의 부위별로 느끼는 온냉감을 정밀하게 평가하여 난방의 방법을 조정하여야 하는데, 이 연구의 결과는 난방의 방법 결정에 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

Heating Effect by Electric Radiator in Greenhouse of Chrysanthemum Cultivation (전기 방열기가 국화재배온실의 난방에 미치는 영향)

  • An analysis in heating effects of an electric radiator located in a 1-2W type chrysanthemum (3 cultivars) cultivation greenhouse installed in Gyeongsang National University drew the following conclusions. During the experiment period, the highest, average, and the lowest outside temperatures were in the ranges of $-3.8{\sim}21.3^{\circ}C$, $-5.2{\sim}16.1^{\circ}C$ and $-12.5{\sim}14.4^{\circ}C$, respectively, and the average relative humidity inside and outside the greenhouses were in the ranges of 43.5~98.6% and 35.2~100%, respectively. From mid-December to early February, the lowest outside temperature was recorded as approximately $-5.0{\sim}-10.0^{\circ}C$, which showed that it tended to be relatively lower than the temperatures recorded at the Jinju Meteorological Observatory. During the night, the leaf temperature measured directly under the radiator tended to be higher by $2{\sim}3^{\circ}C$ than that those at the middle point of the radiator, or higher by a negligible amount. In the case of root zone temperature, it was found that there was almost no difference between temperatures of the part directly under and the middle point, and the time when the highest temperature of root zone and other highest temperatures took place showed that there was about a 2-hour delay phenomenon. The total electricity consumption, energy supply and total heating cost during the experiment period were 2,800 kWh, 2,408,000 kcal and 112,000 won, respectively. When diesel, a kind of fossil fuel, was used as heating oil, the total heating cost was around 224,500 won. It was estimated that the total heating cost could be reduced by around 50% if a radiator was used.

Evaluation on Heating Effects of Geothermal Heat Pump System in Farrowing House (지열 난방시스템을 이용한 분만돈사의 난방효과 분석)

  • Geothermal heat pump system (GHPS) is an energy-efficient technology that use the relatively constant and renewable energy stored in the earth to provide heating and cooling. With the aim of using GHPS as a heating source, it's possibilities of application in farrowing house were examined by measuring environmental assessment and sow's performance. A total of 96 sows were assigned to 2 pig housings (GHPS and conventional housing) with 48 for four weeks in winter season. During the experimental period, indoor maximum temperature in GHPS-housing was measured up to $26.7^{\circ}C$, average temperature could maintain $21.2^{\circ}C$. The mean value of dust levels and $CO_2$, $NH_3$ and $H_2S$ gas emissions were decreased in GHPS-housing compare with those of conventional housing. Litter size, birth weight, parity and weaning weight did not differ between housings. However, feed intake of sow in GHPS-housing was lower than that of conventional housing. In energy consumption for heating, electric power consumption increased in GHPS-housing than the conventional housing, a 2,250 kwh increase, whereas there is no fuel usage for heater in GHPS-housing. Amount of ground water circulated for heating in cold weather for earth heat exchanger was 8.4-12.9 ton per day. In conclusion, GHPS may have environmental benefits and effectiveness of heating in farrowing housing and affect the performance in sows.

A Study on the Estimation of Electricity Demand for Heating and Cooling using Cross Temperature Response Function (교차기온반응함수로 추정한 전력수요의 냉난방 수요 변화 추정)

  • This paper measures and analyzes cooling and heating demand in Korean electricity demand using time-varying temperature response functions and cooling and heating temperature effects. We fit the model to Korean data for residential and commercial sector over 1999:01~2016:12 and the estimation results show that the growth rate of heating demand is much higher than that of base and cooling demand, and especially the growth rate of heating demand in commercial sector is much higher. And we define the temperature-normalized demand conditioning that monthly temperatures are assumed as average monthly temperatures. The growth rate of heating demand in the estimated temperature-normalized demand is higher than that in the real demand. Our results are expected to be a base data for Winter Demand Management and short-term electricity demand forecasting.

Field Application of a Latent Heat Storage Tank for Load Shaving of Domestic Hot Water Supply in District Heating (지역난방 급탕공급 부하균등화를 위한 잠열축열조의 현장 적용)

  • In terms of district heating operation, efficient production and supply of heat by alleviating the peak load at a specific time require an application technology that can solve the inconvenience of the user and the difficulties of the supplier. In this study, a 78 ℃ class PCM heat storage tank suitable among the technologies that can solve these problems was manufactured and applied to the hot water supply facility for apartments in district heating users. As a result of the application of this system, it was confirmed that the supply temperature was constant to the user compared to the existing supply method. In addition, it was confirmed that the reduction of the peak load due to load equalization reduced the heat supply margin of 10% in the existing heat supply facility. And the construction cost of the new heat supply facility and the construction cost of heat users is decreased by 5% and 10%, respectively.

Heating and Cooling Energy Demand Evaluating of Standard Houses According to Layer Component of Masonry, Concrete and Wood Frame Using PHPP (PHPP를 활용한 조적, 콘크리트, 목조 레이어 구성별 표준주택 냉·난방 에너지 요구량 평가)

  • A lot of the energy are consumed on heating and cooling in buildings. The buildings need to minimize the heating and cooling loads for $CO_2$ emissions and energy consumption reduction. In recently, also demand of detached houses were increase while the residential culture was changed. The structure of the domestic detached houses can be divided into masonry, concrete, wood frame houses. Therefore, in this study, the heating and cooling load and energy demand were analyzed on the equal area detached house consisting of three structural methods (Masonry, Concrete, Wood frame). Layer of wall, roof, and floor were composited by structure. Thermal transmittance (U-value) of each layer was using the PHPP calculation for considering stud, such as the wood frame wall. In addition, the case of without considering for studs in wood frame wall (Non-studs) was analyzed in order to compare the difference between studs or not. Analysis was performed using self-developed heating and cooling load calculation program (CHLC) based excel and ECO2. The results of cooling and heating load and energy demand showed the highest values in the wood frame structure, and the concrete structure were confirmed to maintain a high value secondly. Two structure were determined to be disadvantageous on the energy consumption. Consequently, the masonry structure have an advantage over the other structure under the identical conditions. It was determined that if the except for thermal bridges due to the studs in the wood frame structure, it can be reduced the energy consumption.
