Distributional Change and Climate Condition of Warm-temperate Evergreen Broad-leaved Trees in Korea (한반도 난온대 상록활엽수의 분포변화 및 기후조건)

  • The research was conducted to find optimal habitats of warm-temperate evergreen broad-leaved trees, and to investigate climate factors to determine their distribution using classification tree (CT) analysis. The warm-temperate evergreen broad-leaved trees model (EG-model) constructed by CT analysis showed that Mean minimum temperature of the coldest month (TMC) is a major climate factor in determining distribution of warm-temperate evergreen broad-leaved trees. The areas above the $-5.95^{\circ}C$ of TMC revealed the optimal habitats of the trees. The coldest month mean temperature (CMT) equitable to $-5.95^{\circ}C$ of TMC is $-1.7^{\circ}C$, which is lower than $-1^{\circ}C$ of CMT of warm-temperate evergreen broad-leaved trees. Suitable habitats were defined for warm-temperate evergreen broad-leaved trees in Korea. These habitats were classified into two areas according to the value of TMC. One area with more than$-5.95^{\circ}C$ of TMC was favorable to trees if the summer precipitation (PRS) is above 826.5mm; the other one with less than $-5.95^{\circ}C$ of TMC was favorable if PRS is above 1219mm. These favorable conditions of habitats were similar to those of warm-temperate evergreen broad-leaved trees in Japan. We figured out from these results that distribution of warm-temperate evergreen broad-leaved trees were expanded to inland areas of southern parts of Korean peninsula, and ares with the higher latitude. Finally, the northern limits of warm-temperate evergreen broad-leaved trees might be adjusted accordingly.

Distribution of Ichthyoplankton in Kori, Korea (고리 주변 해역의 부유성 난과 자치어의 분포)

  • Distribution of ichthyoplankton in the adjacent waters to Kori were surveyed during the period from April, 1991 to January, 1992. The dominant fish eggs included the eggs of Engraulis japonica, Maurolicus muelleri, Callionymus spp. and others. The eggs of Engrualis japonica and Maurolicus muelleri were $79.52\%$ and $1.86\%$ of the total eggs abundance, respectively. A total of 15 taxa of fish larvae were found. The dominant species was Engraulis japonica accounting for $52.39\%$ of the total larvae and followed by Callionymidae fish($29.36\%$). Other major species were Stephanolepis cirrhifer($6.30\%$), Sebastes schlegeli($3.16\%$), Ammodytes personatus($1.33\%$) and Girella punctata($1.70\%$). These 6 taxa constituted $94.30\%$ of the total larvae collected. In this area, distributions of warm water had a great influence on larvae and juvenile distribution which usually is along the coast and the other places where there layer water movements since, upwelling in the open sea affects ichthyoplankton distribution.

Distribution of the Ichthyoplankton in Kwangyang Bay (광양만 부유성 난 자치어의 분포)

  • To study the composition and distribution of the ichthyoplankton in Kwangyang Bay, they were sampled at eight stations from February to December 1990, Abundance was the highest in June, and the number of taxa was the highest in August. Engraulis japonicus, Leiognathus nuchalis, Konosirus punctatus and Argyrosomus argentatus were dominant among 6 taxa of pelagic eggs. Engraulis japonicus, Gobiidae, Korwsirus punctatus, Argyrosomus argentatus and Leiognathus nuchalis were dominant among 21 taxa of fish larvae. The number of taxa was smaller than the previous study. Abundance during winter was low due to the reduction of abundance of winter spawning species. Ammodytes personatus and Enendrias fangi.

  • Neottia japonica (Blume) Szlach. (Orchidaceae), previously known to be native in southern part of Japan and Taiwan, was found in Seogwipo-si, Jeju-do, Korea. This species is distinguished from the related taxa of Neottia pinetorum (Lindle.) Szlach and N. nipponica (Makino) Szlach. by smaller plant, lip with T-shaped lamella and auricles embracing column, and flowering in the spring. The local name was given as "A-gi-ssangnip-nan-cho" based on the cuter and smaller plant than N. pinetorum. The description and illustrations of the species on morphological characters, voucher specimens, and photograph at the habitat are provided.

  • 꼼치, Liparis tanakai는 미거지, 물메기와 함께 꼼치과(Liparidae), 꼼치속(Liparis)에 속하는 어류로서 우리나라 동남연해 및 일본 연해에 분포하며(정, 1977), 심해성이며 식용으로 이용되나, 비교적 가격이 낮다. 그러나, 꼼치에 대한 연구는 그다지 많지 않다. 꼼치의 난과 자치어에 대하여 단편적으로 1959년 청산에 의하여 발표된 되었고, Kawasaki(1983)의 생활사에 대한 연구와 김 등(1996)에 의한 꼼치의 난발생과 부화자어에 대한 보고가 있다. (중략)

  • 본 논문에서는 각 광원의 위치에 대해 미리 구한 라디안스 맵에 시간-색 공간에서의 반사요소 분리방법을 적용하여 난반사 라디안스 맵과 거울반사 라디안스 맵을 구한다. 필셀 BRDF를 얻기 위한 입력으로 반사요소가 분리된 라디안스 맵을 사용하였다. 따라서, 광원의 조작에 대해 난반사와 거울반사 이미지를 각각 제어할 수 있다. 시간-색 공간에서의 반사요소 분리방법을 사용함으로써, 이미지의 전역 정보가 아니라 지역 정보만을 이용한 반사요소 분리가 가능하다.

Key for the Identification of the Ichthyoplankton in the Mid-East Coastal Waters of the Yellow Sea (黃海 中東部 沿岸域의 浮游性 卵 仔稚魚의 檢索表 作成 硏究)

  • Ichthyoplankton were sampled with Bongo net at 13 stations from Chonsu Bay to Keum Estuary from July, 1985 to June, 1986. 19 taxa of pelagic eggs and 45 taxa of larvae were collected. The key to identify the pelagic eggs is based on the number of oil gloubles, the shape of the egg, the sculpture of the chorion, and the size of the egg and the oil globules. The key to the families of fish larvae is based on the morphometric characters such as the body shape, the position of the anus, the pigmentation pattern, and others.
