A Design of Real-time Facial Age Recognition System based on Depth-Camera (심도카메라 기반의 실시간 얼굴 나이 인식 시스템 설계)

  • 본 논문에서는 심도(Depth) 카메라로부터 실시간 획득한 RGBD 데이터에서 심도 정보 기반의 AAM(Active Appearance Models)과 나이 인식 알고리즘[1]을 통해 4 개의 AG(Age Group)으로 분류하는 실시간 얼굴 나이 인식 시스템(Real-time Facial Age Recognition System)을 설계한다. 기존의 AAM 을 이용한 실시간 얼굴 특징 추출은 평균 약 4.17%의 프레임 손실율을 보였으나, 심도 정보를 활용한 AAM 은 평균 약 0.43%의 프레임 손실율만을 보였다[5]. 본 논문에서는 심도 정보를 활용한 AAM과 병렬 처리 방법인 CUDA 를 결합하여 나이 특징을 추출하고, 실시간 시스템에 적용 가능하도록 나이 인식 알고리즘을 개선하여 실시간 나이 인식 시스템을 설계한다. 설계된 시스템은 1)머리 위치 추적, 2)얼굴 인식 및 특징점 추출, 3)나이 특징 추출, 4) 나이 특징 분석, 5) 나이 분류의 5 가지 단계를 통해 최종적으로 4 개의 AG 로 분류한다.

나이퀴스트 선도 및 보우드 선도를 이용한 폐루프 제어시스템의 안정도 판별

  • 나이퀴스트 선도와 보우드 선도는 주파수 영역에서 시스템의 안정성을 판별하는 중요한 수단이다. 본 소고에서는 나이퀴스트 판별법의 근간이 되는 편각의 원리, 그리고 이에 기초한 나이퀴스트 판별법, 이를 활용한 안정도 및 안정도 여유 판별법, 그리고 나이퀴스트 선도와 보우드 선도와의 관계 및 활용시의 장단점을 비교함으로써, 제어기 설계시 도움이 되도록 하였다.

Preparation of Nylon Elastomer and Its Application in the Electrospinning Process (나이론탄성체 제조와 전기방사응용)

  • Nylon 6 and nylon elastomer were prepared by anionic polymerization route. Nylon elastomers, composed of hard segment of polyamide(PA) and soft segment of polyether(PE), were synthesized by use of TDI terminated polyol with caprolactam. The morphology of the electrospun webs of nylon and nylon elastomers, observed by FE-SEM, showed that the porous electrospun web was composed of nanofibers, whose diameter were in the range of 100 to 180 nm. Their behavior of melting and crystallization and the chemical structure of nylon elastomers were investigated by DSC and ATR FT-IR. Result of tensile testing indicated that nylon has higher tensile strength and lower elongation than nylon elastomers. Atmospheric plasma(APP) with $O_2$ and $N_2$ as reactive gas modified the surface of electrospun nylon and electrospun nylon elastomers allowing them higher hydrophilicity, while APP with $CH_4$ as reactive gas modified the surface of polymers allowing higher hydrophobicity.

Bernays and the Axiomatic Method (베르나이스와 공리적 방법)

  • Bernays has not drawn scholarly attention that he deserves. Only quite recently, the reevaluation of his philosophy, including the projects of editing, translating, and reissuing his writings, has just started. As a part of this renaissance of Bernays studies, this article tries to distinguish carefully between Hilbert's and Bernays' views regarding the axiomatic method. We shall highlight the fact that Hilbert was so proud of his own axiomatic method on textual evidence. Bernays' estimation of the place of Hilbert's achievements in the history of the axiomatic method will be scrutinized. Encouraged by the fact that there are big differences between the early middle Bernays and the later Bernays in this matter, we shall contrast them vividly. The most salient difference between Hilbert and Bernays will shown to be found in the problem of the uniformity of the axiomatic method. In the same vein, we will discuss the later Bernays' criticism of Carnap, for Carnap's project of philosophy of science in the late 1950's seems to be a continuation and an extension of Hilbert's faith in the uniformity of the axiomatic method.

A Bone Age Assessment Method Based on Normalized Shape Model (정규화된 형상 모델을 이용한 뼈 나이 측정 방법)

  • Bone age assessment has been widely used in pediatrics to identify endocrine problems of children. Since the number of trained doctors is far less than the demands, there has been numerous requests for automatic estimation of bone age. Therefore, in this paper, we propose an automatic bone age assessment method that utilizes pattern classification techniques. The proposed method consists of three modules; a finger segmentation module, a normalized shape model generation module and a bone age estimation module. The finger segmentation module segments fingers and epiphyseal regions by means of various image processing algorithms. The shape model abstraction module employ ASM to improves the accuracy of feature extraction for bone age estimation. In addition, SVM is used for estimation of bone age. Features for the estimation include the length of bone and the ratios of bone length. We evaluated the performance of the proposed method through statistical analysis by comparing the bone age assessment results by clinical experts and the proposed automatic method. Through the experimental results, the mean error of the assessment was 0.679 year, which was better than the average error acceptable in clinical practice.

Physical characteristics of Stocking knitted with Silk/Nylon Compound Yarn (견과 나이론 복합사 스타킹의 품질 특성)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the physical characteristics of stocking knitted with silk/nylon(S/N) compound yarn. In SEM observation, it was found that most part of S/N stocking was well interlaced between silk and nylon yarn. There was no difference between S/N stocking and nylon stocking in shrinkage at warm water and compressive resilience. The suction height and absorbability of S/N stocking was 4~8 times and 3 times higher than that of nylon stocking, respectively. According to the wearing test survey, most of wearers answered that the warmth, the hand and the feeling cool of S/N stocking were better than those of nylon stocking but reversed in elasticity, and they gave sprit opinion on durability responding good impression in total feeling of S/N stocking.

A study of age estimation from occluded images (가림이 있는 얼굴 영상의 나이 인식 연구)

  • Research on facial age estimation is being actively conducted because it is used in various application fields. Facial images taken in various environments often have occlusions, and there is a problem in that performance of age estimation is degraded. Therefore, we propose age estimation method by creating an occluded part using image extrapolation technology to improve the age estimation performance of an occluded face image. In order to confirm the effect of occlusion in the image on the age estimation performance, an image with occlusion is generated using a mask image. The occluded part of facial image is restored using SpiralNet, which is one of the image extrapolation techniques, and it is a method to create an occluded part while crossing the edge of an image. Experimental results show that age estimation performance of occluded facial image is significantly degraded. It was confirmed that the age estimation performance is improved when using a face image with reconstructed occlusions using SpiralNet by experiments.

  • 본 논문에서는 실제 교육 현장에서 발생하는 차세대 나이스의 활용 실태와 문제점을 분석한다. 또한, 차세대 나이스가 효율적으로 운영될 수 있도록 지원 방안을 모색하며, 교육현장에서 발생하는 질의내용(궁금증, 의문점)들을 분석함으로써, 차세대 나이스 업무지원을 통한 교원 업무 효율성을 높이고자 한다. 이를 위해 본 논문에서는 차세대 나이스 운영상의 문제점과 현장 활용 장애요인, 접근 용이성, 활용 만족도, 질의 영역, 활용 연수 운영 등에 대해 나이스 현장 자문단을 대상으로 설문 조사를 수행하고, 그 결과를 분석한다. 그리고 이 같은 분석을 통해 차세대 나이스 현장 지원의 개선 방안을 제시한다.

  • 건강 나이라는 개념을 정리하여 대중적으로 알리기 시작한 사람은 미국 시카고 프리츠크의대의 마이클 로이젠 교수이다. 그는 2만 5,000여 건의 임상 연구를 토대로 질병, 습관, 유전, 환경 등 인간 수명에 영향을 미치는 125가지 기준을 선정하여 건강 나이 계산법을 만들었다. 우리나라에서는 서울백병원 가정의학과 김철환 박사가 미국의 자료와 우리나라의 임상 자료를 토대로 우리 실정에 맞는 '건강 나이 측정법'을 고안하여 보급하였다.

Change Pattern of Heart Age in Korean Population Using Heart Age Predictor of Framingham Heart Study (Framingham Heart Study의 Heart Age Predictor를 활용한 한국인 심장나이 추이분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to observe the trends of heart age of Koreans by using the predictor of heart age of the Framingham Heart Study. The subjects were 20,012 adults aged 30~74 years who were enrolled in the Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey from 2005~2013. They filled in the determinants data and they had no history of cardiovascular disease (CVD). The heart age was calculated using a non-laboratory based model of prediction. The difference of heart age and chronological age, and the rate of excessive heart age over 10 years were calculated. The annual trend, the difference according to gender, the age bracket and geographic region, the heart age were all evaluated. Data analysis performed using the SAS program (version 9.3). Complex designed analysis was done. The heart age showed differences according to gender, age bracket and geographic region. The heart age is a useful comprehensive indicator for predicting the CVD events in the near future. So, it could be used for the purposes of exercising caution and guidance on CVD for administering medical care. It is strongly recommended to use heart age as an indicator for customized medical management to focus efforts on relatively vulnerable subjects and their factors for CVD. Further study on Koreans' customized heart age is needed.
