NCS based Leveled Micro-Degree Certification Model for Training Practical Cyber Security Experts

  • In this paper, we propose a Leveled Micro-Degree Job Competency Certification Model that considers the level of the job based on the job defined in the NCS. There is a mismatch of manpower due to the problem of university education that cannot keep up with the rapidly changing technological environment caused by the 4th Industrial Revolution. The Nano-Degree and Micro-Degree systems designed to solve this problem are used for job competency certification of cyber security personnel. NCS sub-categorized job field is defined as Micro-Degree and detailed job by ability unit is defined as Nano-Degree, the level of the ability unit defined by level is equally applied to the Micro-Degree. And it is a system that certifies the job competency corresponding to the degree-based university academic background. By applying this system to the curriculum of Cyber Security School, Yeungnam University College, we proposed a method to configure the Nano-Degree course based on NCS duties. The method proposed in this paper can be used as a method for verifying job competency of Nano-Degree and Micro-Degree, which are recently introduced by many universities.

  • 본 논문에서는 게임프로그래밍을 위한 마이크로디그리 교육과정을 제안하였다. 마이크로디그리는 특정 분야에서 특정 기술이나 지식을 제공하기 위해 설계된 단기과정의 집중 교육프로그램이다. 본 논문에서는 마이크로디그리 교육과정 운영 사례로 나노디그리로 유명한 온라인교육플랫폼 회사인 Udacity와 해외 대학 중 온라인/오프라인 학위과정뿐만 아니라 Certificate 과정을 체계적으로 운영하고 있는 Full Sail University, 국내 대학 중 소프트웨어 관련 마이크로디그리를 운영하는 경희대학교의 교육과정을 분석하였다. 분석결과 Udacity는 데이터분석, 프로그래밍, 인공지능, 클라우드컴퓨팅 등을 중심으로 교육과정이 운영되고 있다. Full Sail 대학의 게임관련 Certificate 교육과정으로는 Game Business & Esports이 운영되고 있고, 게임프로그래밍을 위한 단기교육과정이 없음을 확인하였다. 경희대학 마이크로디그리 교육과정 중 게임과련 교육과정은 "게임공학마이크로디그리" 교육과정 있다. 이 교육과정은 게임프로그래밍과 관련한 마이크로디그리 교육과정이지만 수강생들의 수준을 고려하지 않은 측면이 있어 비전공자나 초보자가 이수하기에는 한계가 있다고 판단된다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 사례 분석을 통해 게임프로그래밍을 위한 마이크로디그리 교육과정을 설계 제안하였다.

Micro Degree for Convergence Engineering Education (융합 공학교육을 위한 마이크로 디그리 도입)

  • The purpose of this study is to discuss how to introduce micro degree for innovation in convergence education in our university. To this end, the background of the introduction of micro and nano degrees and domestic and foreign applications were reviewed. The reason why the rate of students completing the multi-degree was low was that the credits required for graduation were higher than that of other domestic universities, and the difficulty of the courses offered in the convergence major did not match the students. In order to reduce the burden of students learning convergence subjects while acquiring new knowledge and skills, the introduction of a micro degree is considered to be an alternative to the current convergence education.

  • 최근 4차 산업혁명 및 인터넷 환경이 변화되면서 대학 교육환경의 빠른 변화와 산업체에 재 교육이나 온라인 교육에 있어, 교육자 중심에서 수요자 중심으로 교육환경을 바꾸고자 하는 노력을 하고 있다. 우리나라에서는 2018년부터 '한국형 나노디그리' 모델을 개발하고 한국형 무크 강좌도 확대하겠다는 계획을 밝혔다. 이에 본 논문에서는 MOOC에 대해서 알아보고 오픈소스 플랫폼(Moodle, Tao-testing, Joomla)를 활용하여 MOOC를 구축함으로서 대학교의 환경을 최소의 비용으로 강의자 및 교육자 위주의 환경에서 수요자가 원하는 교육환경으로 개선하는 방안을 제시한다.

  • The 4th industrial revolution refers to the transition to a knowledge society in which the production speed of knowledge is fast and the proportion of the knowledge industry is greatly increased. The reorganization of the industrial structure and the change of occupations and jobs due to new technologies are bringing about changes in education, and the development of digital technology has made education that is borderless, individual and dynamic, becoming the new standard of education. With these changes, interest in nano-degrees on new technologies or micro-degrees focused on core courses rather than regular course degrees is increasing. As a representative example, Udacity in the United States has opened and operated online nanodegree courses related to jobs, and collaborates with major companies to develop and educate core training courses necessary for companies, thereby efficiently supporting companies in securing talent. With the revitalization of online vocational and job training, an environment has been prepared in which individuals can set goals for vocational competency development and continue their portfolio-based sustainable learning. However, for effective vocational education, automated and personalized educational content design should be preceded. To this end, in this paper, we propose a personalized career and course map recommendation system in the era of online learning

  • Large-scale online platforms such as MOOCs-Massive Open Online Courses, which provide a variety of educational contents, have provided a learning environment that allows students to freely access and learn anytime and anywhere. Currently, the proportion of online lectures and home-based learning is increasing, and portfolio or experience-based learning such as bootcamp, field activities, and team project-based group learning are also being actively carried out for educational outcomes. At present, interest in nano or microdegree focused on core technology in units of hours or credits is increasing significantly because such strategic intensive education enables effective learning in terms of continuity and efficiency of education. In an era of large changes in job market due to the reorganization of the industrial structure by new technologies, intensive education in specialized new technology fields such as smart mobility, big data, and artificial intelligence is much more conducive to finding a job. With this reason it is attracting attention as an alternative to lifelong learning are receiving In this paper we propose an educational platform that can efficiently and effectively support the purpose learning for the personalized microdegree education in the online learning era.

  • 최근 대학교는 코로나로 인하여 교육에 언택트를 접목시킬 것과, 학생들에게 필요한 전문지식을 단기간에 효율적으로 습득시킬 것을 요구받고 있다. 이를 위해 학교들은 온라인 교육 플랫폼을 구성함과 동시에, 고효율 교육방법으로서 모듈형 교육과정을 개발하고 있다. 하지만 모듈형 교육과정은 기존 교육과정과 다른 부분이 있어 기존에 활용하던 온라인 교육 플랫폼으로는 모듈형 교육과정을 온전히 제공하기 힘들다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 다양한 국내외 온라인 교육 플랫폼을 조사하여 교육에 필요한 기능들을 정리하였다. 또한 다수의 동영상, 퀴즈, 실습, 과제, 그리고 프로젝트로 구성된 모듈형 교육과정을 가정하고 이를 활용하기 위한 기능들을 도출하였다. 이를 기반으로 모듈형 교육과정용 플랫폼의 기능별 구성, 구성요소별 연결 방식, 활용 시나리오를 제안하고, 온라인 기반 모듈형 교육과정 플랫폼을 보다 효율적으로 활용할 수 있을 것으로 생각되며, 향후 모듈형 교육과정을 제공하기 위한 기반을 구성할 수 있을 것으로 생각된다.
