Analysis of the Healing Effects of a Flower Craft Activity Program - Focusing on Perceived Stress, Depression, and Self-Esteem - (꽃공예 활동 프로그램의 치유효과 분석 - 지각된 스트레스, 우울, 자아존중감을 중심으로 -)

  • This study aims to explore comprehensively the effects of a flower craft activity program focused on perceived stress, depression, and self-esteem of adult with mixed methods. The main results of this study are as follows. In the mixed analysis results, perceived stress was reduced by immersing oneself in completing one's own work through flower craft activities, as distracting thoughts in the head disappeared. In the case of depression, depression decreased in the relationship between group members who worked together to complete their own work through flower craft activities. In the case of self-esteem, it was analyzed that flower craft activities had the effect of increasing self-esteem through the satisfaction of the need for life and self-esteem. In future study, this suggests that the healing program applied based on this can be comprehensively reviewed, modified, and supplemented to reorganize it into a more effective flower craft activity program.

A Study on Korean Contemporary Crafts in 1970 Age (1970년대 한국현대공예의 동향 연구)

  • From the middle of 1970s were founded new basis for the development of craft through the co-operation of the civilians and the authorities. First, Korean Culture and Art Foundation founded in 1973 held the 'Invitation Exhibition for the Craft Artists All over the Country' in 1974 and 1975 and The National Museum of Modern Art held the 'Exhibition of Modern Korean Handicraft Art' in 1975. Second, the policy emphasizing the export and tourism provided the basis for the development of design for export goods and souvenirs of tour. H\therefore the exhibitions of such goods were held by many organizations. ] In 1970s departments of craft and design were newly established in the universities so that the third generation of Korean craft was on the rise and their groups began to hold exhibitions in commercial galleries. Reflecting on such circumstances, 1970s was the period of blossom for Korean craft while 1960s was a sprouting season.

A Study on Art Nouveau in the late 19th century in Vienna (19세기 말 전환기의 비엔나 아르누보에 대한 연구)

  • In the late 19th century, the desire for pursuing new arts and aesthetics was evolveld and developed in various aspects in europe, and it appealed the characteristics of renovating society such as the arts and crafts movement in England. Vienna was developed in the center of the European empire under these environments, and provided the background as the main center for young artists. Vienna Art Nouveau blossomed under the mind of art pioneers that is "all arts are equal" and the Viennese political, economic, and cultural environments. They tried to show people new aesthetics under the mass-production by accepting machine. The goal of this study is to search the Secessions's role and the environment that make the base of modern aesthetics and differentiate from other Art Nouveau movements in Europe and to verify the meaning and value of that.
