  • 항만에서 물동량이 증가함에 따라 항만위험물 물동량도 함께 증가하고 있다. 이에 따라 항만위험물로 인한 사고도 점차 늘어나는 추세이다. 안전사고발생을 사전에 예방하고, 사고발생 시 피해를 최소화하기 위해서 안전관리자와 위험물 취급자는 정해진 기간마다 항만위험물 교육기관에서 필수적으로 교육을 이수해야 한다. 국내에서 가장 많은 산적액체위험물을 처리하고 있는 울산항의 경우.

Dissolution of Crystal Forms of Cefotaxime Sodium (세포탁심나트륨의 결정형의 용출)

  • Three polymorphic modifications and two pseudopolymorphic modifications of cefotaxime sodium were obtained by crystallization from different organic solvents. The isolated crystal forms were characterized by UV spectrophotometry, DSC, TGA and X-ray crystallography. Crystal forms of cefotaxime sodium were also compared by dissolution rate. The dissolution rate of form 1 was the highest, followed by form 2, form 4, form 6, form 5 and form 3. Among these polymorphic modifications the dissolution rate of form 3 and form 5 was much slower than that of cefotaxime sodium on the market. All forms showed no change after 2-month storage test in the silica gel desiccator. But after the storage of 2-month at 95% relative humidity condition, all forms were deliquesced by hygroscopic property except form 1 that showed the highest dissolution rate. At 52% relative humidity condition, form 1, form 2 and form 6 had no evidence of phase transformation, but form 3, form 4 and form 5 were also deliquesced.

  • This experiment was carried out in laboratory to find out the effect of coating materials, minerals and insecticides on germination of pasture seed. Seed coating was made by specially made machine and seed germination in petridishes was also determined from Sep. 1986 to May 1987. The results were summarized as follows; 1. Coating seed gave bad germination compared with the control. There were significant difference between treatment, coating materials and adhesives in white and red clover while Phleum pratense germination was improved by coating materials. 2. In mineral coating treatments, on Mg alone or Mg mixed treatment, germination was deepressed. Generally germination was lowed by mineral treatment, but the difference was small. 3. Uncoating treatment with insecticide was superior to coating treatment in terms of germination. Among the insecticide Ballen gave more serious effect to seed germination.

  • 인터넷 환경에서 데이터 저장과 전송을 위한 표준으로 XML이 부각되고 있다. 이에 따라 XML자체에 대한 관심뿐 아니라 XML 질의 처리를 위한 연구도 활발하게 이루어지고 있다. 이러한 연구는 XML문서 자체의 내용 뿐 아니라 구조에 대한 질의에 대해서도 진행되고 있다. 구조에 대한 질의를 위해 경로 질의가 사용되고 있으며, 최근 경로 질의를 효과적으로 처리하기 위하여 여러 가지 색인 기법들이 연구되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 기존에 제안된 대표적인 두 가지 색인기법인, 경로 색인 기법과 구조 조인 기법에 대한 특징에 대해 살펴보고, 구조 조인 기법에 대한 기존연구의 알고리즘의 성능을 개선시킬 수 있는 메커니즘을 제안하였다. 기존 연구에서는 질의에 해당하는 모든 엘리먼트들을 비교하여 결과를 뽑아내지만 제안한 메커니즘은 입력 값의 형태를 변형하여 비교하는 엘리먼트의 수를 줄여 더 적은 조인연산을 수행함으로서 성능을 향상시킬 수 있었다. 이러한 결과를 4절에서 실험을 통해 검증하였다. 실험 결과 기존 방법에 비해 실험한 질의에 따라 최대 34%, 최소 7%의 성능 향상을 이룰 수 있었다.

Phonetic Realizations of English Word Stress in Utterances (실제 상황에서 발화된 영어 단어 강세의 음성 실현)

  • This study examines the phonetic realizations of English word stress to identify the influence of experiment method on experiment results. Stimuli uttered by native and Korean ESL beginners in authentic conversations are extracted to be shuffled according to their positions in utterances and information structure. Results indicate that the acoustic characteristics of English word stress are realized depending on its position in utterances. The native speakers correlate the stressed syllables in shorter duration with higher pitch and stronger intensity at sentence-final positions unlike the previous experiments and the traditional definition that stressed syllables are uttered in longer duration with higher pitch and stronger intensity; at sentence-medial positions, the native speakers correlate the stressed syllables in longer duration with higher pitch and no regularity in intensity or in shorter duration with lower pitch and intensity depending on their conversational intention. Korean ESL beginners correlate the stressed syllables in shorter duration regardless of positions in sentences with no regularity in pitch and intensity. This study, thus, shows that a different experiment method may result in different results on the phonetic realizations of English word stress.

  • This study attempts to investigate that the training of pitch manipulation would help Korean speakers reduce the intonation errors based on the review of many previous studies on Korean speakers' phonetic realization of intonation. The previous studies have indicated that Korean speakers have problems with pitch manipulation in their production of English word stress, sentence stress, and eventually intonation. To train Korean speakers phonetically realize English pitch patterns, a blended learning module was operated for two weeks: face-to-face instruction for six hours and e-learning instruction for three hours in total. This module was designed to help Korean speakers realize pitch as a distinctive phoneme. An acoustic assessment on five Korean female English speakers shows that the training of pitch manipulation helps Korean English speakers reduce the intonation errors indicated in the previous studies reviewed.

  • The aim of the present study was to investigate the characteristics of chitin and chitosan derived from Caridina japonica (CJ) which is using as one of fermented products in the chonnam province of Korea. Percent of chitin produced from CJ was 9.6 $\pm$0.2%. Percent of chitosan derived from chitin was 72.5$\pm$3.6% . Viscosities of chitin and chitosan were 94.4 and 96.7 cps. Molecular weight of them were 4,398,900 and 4,101.100 , respectively. Percents of protein bound to chitin and chitosan were 2.7% and 2.6%, respectively.

인공위성 열제어계 개발동향

  • 인공위성 열제어계는 위성의 운용기간 중에 열적 안정성 확보를 목적으로 열설계, 열해석, 필요 하드웨어 선정 및 지상검증시험, 발사후 운용지원을 수행하게 된다. 열제어계는 다른 위성 부분체와는 달리 시스템적인 성격을 가지고 있으며, 위성의 운용궤도 등에 따라서 개발 방향이 달라지게 된다. 특히 위성의 고성능화 및 열적안정성 요구조건의 증대로 인하여 열제어계의 역할이 더욱 커져가고 있다. 본 기술동향에서는 열제어계 설계요건, 적용 목적에 따른 기법, 향후 활용 기술 등의 관점에서 인공위성 열제어계의 개발 동향을 살펴보고자 한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 최근에 각광을 받고 있는 HLA의 연구 현황을 파악하고 HLA의 기본 개념, 구성 요소, HLA를 이용한 시뮬레이션의 개발 방법 등에 대하여 조사하였다. 그리고 SMART-P 안전해석 전산코드인 TASS/SMR을 HLA에 적용하기 위한 방법에 대하여 기술하였으며 랩퍼 (Wrapper)를 사용하여 TASS/SMR을 HLA에 적용하여 보았다. 이러한 연구 결과로 TASS/SMR을 HLA에 적용, 구현하여 실행됨을 확인하였으며 그 결과로 레거시 코드를 HLA에 적용할 수 있는 방향을 제시하였다.

Studies of Radicals Generated in Supersonic Flash Pyrolysis by Laser Induced Fluorescence Spectroscopy

  • Laser-induced fluorescence (LIF) spectroscopy has been applied to study the supersonic jet of radicals of nitric oxide (NO) and atomic iodine produced in the flash pyrolysis of precursors n-butylnitrite (CH₃(CH₂)₃ONO) and allyl iodide (C₃$H_5$I), respectively. The systematic population analysis with spectral simulations demonstrates that the precursors are efficiently pyrolyzed and that radical beams show a substantial supersonic cooling. In addition, absence of local equilibrium was observed in the distributions of two electronic spin-orbit states ²Π$_{1/2}$ and ²Π$_{3/2}$ of NO products and can be rationalized in terms of the efficiency of collision-induced energy transfer rates.
