  • The spillway gate is the most important facility of the multi-purpose dam. we usually use various sensor and conversion technique to control the gate. In this study, we mathematically analyze the instrumental errors on the different winch types. And we will briefly explain the measurement methods used on a gauge for a spillway gate and the calculation method of the discharge water volume.

  • 본 논문에서는 저압 직류(LVDC) 마이크로그리드(Microgrid)의 배전가능거리와 분산전원 수용률을 증대하기 위한 지능형 에이전트 기반의 전압 제어 기법에 대해서 설명한다. 제안하는 방법은 분산전원에 설치된 지능형 제어노드에서 자율적인 전압, 전류, 전력측정을 수행하고 이러한 데이터를 바탕으로 전압제어 민감도를 산출하며 실시간 모니터링 데이터와 함께 중앙 관리시스템으로 전송된다. 중앙 관리시스템은 교류계통과 연계되는 주(Main) AC-DC 전력변환기와 각 분산 전원과의 협조제어를 통해 마이크로그리드의 전압을 실시간으로 제어한다. 제안하는 전압제어 원리의 구현을 위해 본 논문은 지능형 에이전트 기반의 직류 마이크로그리드 관리시스템에 대해서 설명한다. 개발된 마이크로그리드 관리시스템은 실시간 OS를 탑재한 범용 임베디드 시스템 하드웨어로 구성되며 이더넷 통신을 이용하여 멀티-에이전트 네트워크를 구성한다.

  • Since power system is switching to smart grid, on-line monitoring technology has become necessary for underground distribution power cable. Therefore, the application of DTS(Distributed Temperature Sensing) technology using OFCPC(Optical Fiber Composite Power Cable) capable of monitoring underground distribution power cables has been developed. These can bring about reductions in faults and increases in operating capacity of underground distribution system. To date, the test-bed of optical fiber composite power cable on-line monitoring system has been constructed. Then, matters to be improved have been drawn through verification experiments. This paper presents the improvement and experiment results of the optical fiber composite power cable on-line monitoring system to apply to underground distribution lines in the field.

  • In order to prevent the failures of underground distribution power cables we need to measure insulation condition in the field. Until now we used DC high voltage as a power source for the cable diagnosis but it was not proper method to the XLPE insulation cables because DC high voltage can affect sound insulation and can't diagnose exactly insulation degradation. For these reasons we imported isothermal relaxation current measurement system called by KDA-1 from germany but it's reliability did not proved in our URD cables. DC voltage decay measurement system was developed by domestic company but they don't have field experience. In this paper we tried to prove reliability of these two systems in the field. Through the field diagnosis and Ac breakdown test the two systems showed similar results.

  • In this study, polyolefin compounds were developed and evaluated for replacing a jacket material of URD power cables. The characteristics of compounds were investigated by water vapor transmission (WVT) test and mechanical test. In WVT test, all polyolefin compounds showed the superior water resistance to conventional PVC. The molecular structure and density of polyolefin play an important role in WVT. Also, polyolefin compounds showed the suitable characteristics in mechanical test. Especially, polyolefin compounds having linear molecules showed the superior characteristics to LDPE ones. From this study, it can be considered that polyolefin compounds may be suitable to jacket material for URD power cables.

  • This paper proposes a new auxiliary resonant DC link(ARDCL)snubber circuit and deals with its power loss on the basis of actually-measured conduction loss characteristic of switching device module. Voltage-ed soft switching three-phase inverter using proposed ARDCL snubber circuit is presented along with its performance evaluations. And, the power loss analysis of three-phase hard and soft switching inverter are carried out from the point of simulation and experimental results.

  • This research focuses on similarity evaluation of images according to tones of images. Color space of images were converted RGB color space into HSI color space. The information entropy criteria has been taken for evaluating similarity of images for digital library. The similarity was then calculated by combining correlation coefficients and information entropy. Those two values are further analyzed with a relation to human sensibility.

  • A glass transfer robot is used for handling LCDs in the production line of flat panel displays under clean environments. During glass transfer operations of the robot, chattering phenomenon occurs at the robot hand. This deteriorates the accuracy and repeatability of the end-effector of the robot. In this paper, we present the kinematic solution of the robot and then analyze the cause of this chattering phenomenon in view of the mechanism and servo control and propose a practical solution that can reduce the chattering significantly at the robot hand of the glass transfer robot.

  • Laboratory and field experiments were conducted to study the effectiveness of five adsorbents for the removal of arsenic. The adsorbents included activated alumina (AA), iron coated AA (ICAA), and granular ferric hydroxide (GFH), granular ferric oxide (GFO), and granular titanium dioxide (GTD). Laboratory experiments were conducted to investigate arsenic removal using challenge water prepared in accordance with NSF International Standards 53 (ANSl/NSF 53-2001). Field experiments were conducted using arsenic-contaminated groundwater In laboratory experiment, the treatment capacity decreased in the following order GTD > GFO > GFH. In contrast, the treatment capacity decreased in the following order GFO > GTD > GFH > ICAA > Ah in field experiments.
