An experimental study to investigate the unconventional chip formation called triangulation of chip in cutting with a SPRT (self-propelled rotary tool) is performed using acoustic emission (AE) signal analysis. In doing that, a quantitative model of the AE RMS signal in triangulation with a SPRT is first developed. The predicted results from this model show good correlation between the AE RMS signal and the general characteristics of triangular chip formation. Then, effects of various process parameters such as cutting conditions (cutting speed, depth of cut, oblique angle and normal rake angle) and the work material properties on the chip formation in cutting with a SPRT are explored. Special attention is paid to the work material properties which are found to have significant effects on triangulation.

In recent years, there has been a proliferation of consumer health information available on the internet related to parent-child health. More and more, parents are accessing information about child ca re through the Internet and computer at home. But there is no guarantee that the information is current, unbiased, or accurate. Several researchers have suggested some criteria for evaluating internet sites; source, accuracy, disclosure, currency, accessibility. As more consumer search the World Wide Web for parenting information, nurses have to learn more about this technology. Because nurses can assist parents in identifying how to locate information they can trust. It is also needed to for nurses to document the criteria for information selection on internet and to evaluate outcome of cyberspace intervention of parenting.

HID 램프란 High Intensity Discharge Lamps의 약어로서 고압방전램프라 하고, 대규모 공간의 조명이 필요한 공공시설, 산업시설, 상업시설 이외에 스포츠 시설 등 폭넓은 용도에 대응하고 있다. HID 램프는 부성저항 특성으로 인하여 직접 전원에 접속하기 때문에 램프 전류가 흐르게 되면 급격히 전류가 증가하여 전류의 흐름이 매우 불안하게 된다. 따라서 이것을 안정시키기 위하여 전원과 램프사이에 전류 제한장치인 안정기(Ballast)로 램프 전류를 적절하게 제어할 필요가 있다. 본 고에서는 HID 램프에 관한 열화요인과 이에 대한 수명의 관계를 중심으로 논한다.

기능성을 갖고 있는 녹차가 빵의 품질 특성에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위해 녹차를 첨가한 식빵을 제조하여 품질 변화를 조사하였다. 녹차빵은 녹차 물추출액 0%, 50%, 70%, 100%를 첨가하여 제조하였고 3$0^{\circ}C$로 저장하면서 24시간 간격으로 7일간의 수분, PH 및 산도, 총제균수 등의 변화, 그리고 관능검사 등을 실시하였다. 녹차 물추출액의 첨가는 저장 중 빵의 수분 손실이 적었으며 pH 및 산도는 녹차 물추출액의 첨가량이 많을수록 변화 폭이 적었다. 총 세균수의 경우 녹차 물추출액 첨가구에서는 대조구에 비해 세균수의 증가폭이 적게 나타났다. 관능검사제서는 녹차 물추출액 첨가가 식빵의 기호에 큰 영향을 미치지 않았다.

수직선배열과 이동음원을 이용하여 수심이 140m인 동해 연안에서 정합장처리 실험을 실시하고 신호를 분석하였다. Battlett, MVDR, WMGC 정합장처리기를 이용하여 음원위치추정을 수행하였다. 실험 해역의 수온구조는 내부파등의 단주기 변동의 영향을 크게 받는 것으로 알려져 왔으며, 정합장처리 결과에서도 단주기변동의 영향을 받아 부엽준위가 증가하였다.

A high ductile fiber reinforced mortar has been developed by employing micromechanics-based design procedure. Micromechanical analysis was initially performed to properly select water-cement ratio, and then optimal mixture proportion was determined based on workability considerations, including desirable fiber dispersion without segregation. Subsequent direct tensile tests revealed that the fiber reinforced mortar exhibited high ductile uniaxial tension property, represented by $1.8\%$ strain capacity, which is around 100 times the strain capacity of normal concrete.

This paper presents an experimental investigation examining water-cement ratio effects on fiber-matrix interface properties and on matrix fracture properties, which are used for designing mix proportion suitable for achieving strain-hardening behavior at a composite level. A single fiber pullout test and a wedge splitting test were employed to measure the bond properties in a matrix and the fracture toughness of mortar matrix, respectively. Test results showed that the properties tended to increase with decreasing water-cement ratio. Composite design using these test results will be discussed in the follow-up paper.

This paper presents a realization of sensor signal processing(noise filtering) and Fieldbus based communication for condition monitoring of check valve. we first acquired the AE(Acoustic Emission) sensor data at the KAERI check valve test loop, and their frequencies were analyzed to find the informative band. To reject background noises, bandpass filters have been designed. Also, to send the processed data to a remote site, wired communication facility has been realized via DeviceNet.

In recent, most'of automobile industries adopt the concept of JIT production. According to the concept, the paternal manufacturers require their suppliers to supply parts just in time, so it is very important for a subcontractor to produce the parts in the appointed time of delivery. This study develops a production information system for Woosin Industry, which is one of such subcontractors of Hyundai Motors Company(HMC). The system is developed for use in Client/Server environment. In this study, the following three modules are developed, i. e., the production scheduling module, the sales management module to deal with the information about orders of HMC, delivery of parts, and bill collecting, and the module for supporting material requirements planning and purchase of material.
