  • This paper which can simulate FRIENDS(Flexible Reliable Intelligent Electrical eNergy Delivery System) model of distribution electrical system presents a new algorithm. In the operation of FRIENDS model, dispersed energy storage(DES) systems have an important role. We can use the active and reactive power of DES to control customer's voltage. In this, the former means load levelling operation and the later means voltage control operation of DES. We focus our research on load levelling operation of DES. We develope an algorithm to get an optimal capacity and operation schedule of DES and then apply it to the FRIENDS model. The results show the effectiveness of the proposed method.

  • This paper proposes a new algorithm for maintenance scheduling with considering load forecast uncertainty. The proposed algorithm is based on the equivalent load of effective load carrying capability(ELCC) of generators. The uncertainty of forecasted load is considered as a normal distribution probability density function. For maintenance scheduling, reserve levelization method and risk levelization method are used in this study. To test the algorithm, we applied the proposed method to IEEE reliability test system(IEEE RTS). As a result, we verified the validity of the proposed method.

  • The proposed method is described for scheduling their output of thermal power units so as to comply with total emission constraint, area emission constraint and the both of those constraints. Also, by using a trade-off curve, representing all dispatch alternatives and conflict between the emission and the fuel cost, the sensitivity analysis of the emission and the fuel cost is applied to this algorithm. By the way, this proposed method is analyzed how dispatch changes as a function of the total environmental cost, and as a function of the relative weighting of individual environmental insults, e.g, NOx and $SO_{2}$. By applying the proposed method to the system, the usefulness of this method is verified.

  • Based on the concept of Load Supplying Capability of a transmission network, we provides an information concerning network adequacy. In particular this paper describes an algorithm regarding load supplying margin of transmission networks. And a different growth rate is assigned to each load point so that various demand characteristics can be taken into consideration at respective locations. In addition to this, in this paper, both generation and transmission equipment will be considered in determining the system capability. A 10 bus model system is used to demonstrate the capability of the proposed algorithm.

  • This paper deals with the optimal dynamic dispatch problem owing to spinning-reserve and power-rate limits. Two computational modules are used in the solution of the problems. The first is an efficient dispatch module for the consideration of reasonable spinning-reserve requirements. The latter os the Lagrange multipliers adjusting module, which is satisfying the Kuhn-Tucker conditions for power-rate constraints. The proposed algorithm obtains very fast solution speed and maintains good accuracy from test examples.

Solar flare 발생시 GOES 위성의 X-ray flux자료를 이용한 이온권 변화

  • 최근 태양 극대기를 맞아 우주기상의 변화에 대처하기 위한 연구가 많이 진행되고 있다. 본 연구에서도 저 중위도 이온권 모델인 SAMI2와 SAMI3를 이용하여 solar flare 발생에 따른 이온권의 변화를 지켜보고자 하였다. 하지만 SAMI 모델에서는 F74113 Solar EUV reference spectrum을 이용하여 EUV flux에 의한 이온화만 고려되었을 뿐, X-ray flux에 의한 이온화는 고려되지 않았다. 태양 극대기동안 solar flare가 발생하였을 때, solar X-ray가 전리층에 미치는 영향이 매우 중요한만큼 solar X-ray에 의한 이온권의 변화를 적용시킬 필요가 있었다. 따라서 우리는 보다 정확한 solar flare 발생에 따른 이온권의 변화를 보기 위해 $1{\AA}{\sim}8{\AA}$범위의 X-ray관측자료를 제공하는 GOES 위성의 데이터를 직접 이용하고, 해당하는 파장의 cross section을 추가하여 SAMI 모델에 적용시켰다. solar flare 효과를 선택적으로 활용하는 개정된 SAMI 모델을 통해 각 flare 등급과 지속시간에 따른 이온권의 변화를 모델로써 확인하였다.

  • In this paper we propose the new method for calculating the Bus Incremental Cost using bus voltage magnitude and angle. And perform the decomposition of Bus Incremental Cost on power system operation. In this method, we calculate the Shadow Price that is derived from using power flow calculation results. The proposed Method is applied to IEEE-30 and the result shows the effectiveness of the method.

  • This purpose of this paper is to propose a methodology for optimal generating operation in power system to minimize the cost of generation subject to not only system constraints but also regional $CO_2$ emission constraints. To solve this ELD problem calculated range limit on minimum and maximum power outputs by regional Equal Generator how each regional capacity is connected into one and expressed Equal Fuel Cost Function considering regional $CO_2$ emission constraints. Accordingly, being modified regional load, new power outputs considering regional $CO_2$ emission constraints were calculated by ELD. The proposed model for evaluating availability is tested on IEEE RTS(Reliability Test System)-24 in detail.

  • 전력산업 구조개편시 효율적인 계통운용을 위하여 계산시간이 빠르고 신뢰적인 연계계통에서의 수송능력을 산정하는 알고리즘개발에 관한 연구는 필수적이라고 할 수 있다. 이를 위하여 본 연구에서는 효율적인 수송능력산정문제의 정식화 및 수송능력 산정시 초기 최대수송능력을 계산한 다음, 이로부터 계산된 발전기 출력의 초기값을 이용함으로써 수송능력계산의 수렴속도를 개선할 수 있는 방법을 제시하였다. 또한 이를 시험계통에 적용하여 본 연구의 타당성을 검증하고 유용한 정보를 도출하였다.
