음악 연구에 따른 컴퓨터의 역할이 점차 중요한 비중을 차지함에 따라 보다 효과적인 악보 인식 방법이 요구된다. 기존의 악보 인식 방법에서는 특정 수정 프로그램에서 만든 악보만 그 프로그램에서 재수정과 재생이 가능하다는 단점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 단점을 보완하기 위하여 이미 작성 되어있는 악보들을 자동으로 인식하고 재생을 할 수 있는 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 악보 인식 방법은 수평 히스토그램을 이용하여 악보 이미지의 오선을 제거한 후, Grassfire 알고리즘을 적용하여 잡음을 제거하고 악보 구성 기호들을 추출한다. 추출된 악보 구성 기호들은 악보 구성 기호의 특징을 이용하여 음표와 쉼표, 그 외의 기호들로 분리한다. 분리된 음표 기호들은 박자마다 다른 음표 형태의 특징을 이용하여 다시 세밀하게 분리하고 쉼표와 그 외의 기호들은 퍼지 ART 알고리즘을 적용하여 인식한다. 인식된 악보 구성 기호들을 이용하여 각각 정보를 저장하고 향후에 악보 구성 기호에 해당하는 음의 재생을 용이하게 한다. 제안된 악보 인식 방법의 성능을 평가하기 위해 50장의 악보 영상을 대상으로 실험한 결과, 본 논문에서 제시한 악보 영상의 인식 방법이 실험을 통해서 효율적인 것을 확인하였다.

In this paper, we propose a Korean sentence symbol preprocessor for a SSML (speech synthesis markup language) supported speech synthesis system in order to improve the quality of the synthesized result. After the analysis of Korean Wikipedia documents, we propose 8 categories for the meaning of sentence symbols and 11 regular expression for the classification of each category. After the development of a Korean sentence symbol preprocess system we archived 56% of precision and 71.45% of recall ratio for 63,000 sentences.

This study aims to provide a teaching strategy accommodating the symbols of the definite integral and guiding students through the meaning of notations in area and volume calculations, based on characterization as to how students comprehend the symbols used in the Riemann sum formula and the definite integral, and their interrelationship. A survey was conducted on 70 high school students regarding the historical background of integral symbols and the textbook contents designated for the definite integral. In the following analysis, the comprehension was qualified by 5 levels; students in higher levels of comprehension demonstrated closer relation to the history of integral notations. A teaching strategy was developed accordingly, which suggested more desirable student understanding on the concept of definite integral symbols in area and volume calculations.

A recognizable form having meaning is called a sign in semiotics. The sign is transformed into a physical counter form in this work. Its internal structure is restricted on the linguistic concept structure. We borrow the concept of a mathematical function from the utility function of a rational personal in the economy. Universalizing the utility function by introducing the consistency of independency on the manner of construction, we construct the probability. We introduce a random variable for the probability and join it to a position variable. Thus, we propose a physical sign and its serial changes in the forms of stochastic equations. The equations estimate three patterns (jumping, drifting, diffusing) of possible solutions, and we find them in the one-day stock-price flow. The periods of jumping, drifting and diffusing were about 2, 3.5, and 6 minutes for the Kia stock on 11/05/2014. Also, the semiotic sign (icon, index, symbol) can be expected from the equations.

지금까지의 연구에서 Japanese Puzzle을 이용한 인쇄체 영문자 인식을 구현하여 좋은 결과를 얻었고, 본 논문 에서는 인쇄체 영문자(바탕, 돋움) 인식을 확장시켜 영문장을 인식하기 위해 키보드에서 입력 가능한 숫자 및 기호를 포함하여 인식하는 시스템을 구현하였다. 이미지를 입력 받아 이진화 처리, 히스토그램 투영을 이용한 문자 분리는 영문자 인식에서와 동일한 처리를 한다. 기호 중에서 세로 길이보다 가로 길이가 긴 기호인 -,-,= 만 가로를 정규화 하였고, 나머지는 세로를 정규화 하였다. 정규화 된 문자에 Japanese Puzzle을 역으로 적용하여 구하여진 수치 정보로부터 영문자, 숫자, 기호를 분류 및 인식하여 좋은 결과를 얻었다.

본 논문은 차량에 설치된 블랙박스 영상으로부터 도로 노면에 표시된 방향지시 기호를 효율적으로 검출하는 방안을 제안한다. 차량 내부에 설치된 블랙박스 영상은 카메라의 원근 효과로 인해 방향지시 기호 영역을 올바르게 검출하지 못하는 문제점이 존재한다. 따라서 제안한 연구에서는 원근 효과를 가진 입력 영상에서 역원근 변환 방법을 통해 원근 효과를 제거한 실세계 좌표로 맵핑한 평면 영상에서 방향지시 기호 영역을 신경망 검출기를 통해 검출한다. 입력 영상에서 역 원근 변환은 높은 계산량으로 인해 실시간 처리가 어려운 점이 존재한다. 이를 보완하기 위해 제안한 방안에서는 입력 영역의 도로노면 방향지시 기호 영역의 특징을 분석하여 도로노면 기호가 포함된 후보 ROI영역을 정의하고 후보 ROI 영역의 Gray 색상에서 역원근 변환을 수행한다. 제안한 방안을 도로노면 방향지시 기호 검출 및 인식 연구에 적용한 결과, 약 87% 이상 비교적 정확히 검출율을 제시하였으며, 다양한 도로 환경에서도 높은 검출율을 제시하였다. 따라서 제안한 방안을 운전자의 안전운전지원시스템에 적용함으로써 보다 정확한 도로정보 제공시스템 적용이 가능함을 알 수 있다.

최근에 들어와 퍼스는 인지과학적 관점에서 몇몇 영미철학자들의 각별한 관심을 끌고있다. 그러나 퍼스의 기호학과 현상론의 기본 바탕이 현대 인지과학의 노선과 그렇게 쉽사리 일치가 될 것 같지는 않다. 본 발표에서 논자는 퍼스와 인지과학의 관계를 본격적으로 탐구하기 위한 준비작업으로서 기호와 사고의 관계에 대한 퍼스의 이론을 그의 초기 논문들의 분석에 기초하여 비교적 선명하게 정리해보고자 한다. 발표 초반부에서 먼저 퍼스의 프래그매티시즘의 본질을 규정하고 이어서 기호학과의 관련성을 해명한 후, 기호와 인지의 관계를 밝혀보고자 한다.

To understand terms and symbols correctly which is the basic factor of teaming mathematics is important for understanding and utilizing related mathematic contents. Since the definition of terms and symbols is the important starting point of learning mathematics, it has been studied a lot since the ancient times. This study investigates the transition of terms and symbols which was presented in our curriculum after Korea's independence and it also investigates terms and symbols which are used for the current middle school text books. As a result of studying the transition of the terms, more detailed and broader analysis should be done for the explanation, modification, deletion, and creation of the terms. And complements are needed for some of the terms and symbols. Also, some definition of the terms which are used in some of the current middle school text books should be explained in a way that is suitable for the students' capability. And some errors and omissions of the terms need to be corrected. Furthermore, we need to compare our definition of terms with that of the other countries and modify them if it is necessary. Also, It is better to put guidelines about the interpretation of terms and symbols in the curriculum to reduce the confusion which can be produced by the variety of explanation of the definition of terms and symbols.

The purpose of this study is to examine the narrative correlation of nonverbal signs found in Charade. Charade, by using nonverbal signs, provides information about the character's psychological change, his or her relationship with others, and the places where they stay. The study of Charade, then, has to be approached considering not only the transmission of messages through nonverbal signs but also its signification. This study has analyzed the narrative and formation process of the subject that triggers the subject's activity by taking narrative semiotics to the film Carol (2015). As the status of women is represented by the mise-en-$sc{\grave{e}}ne$ at this time, this study aims to examine such a fact through Charade, which belongs to the realm of mise-en-$sc{\grave{e}}ne$. In this study, nonverbal signs that are used in Charade are drawn based on the nonverbal communication theory. The result of analyzing the texts showed that the use of interior decoration was outstanding in the process of expressing the status of female subjects. The use of gaze was noticeable in the process of expressing the acquisition of female subjects' power. Besides, it should be noted that the use of nonverbal signs such as accessories, territoriality, or gesture, was worthy of attention. It was confirmed that such nonverbal signs play an important role in the formation of subjects and configuration of narrative transformation.

The cultural production of meanings is becoming more and laden with the intricacies of signs and symbols in our times. The idea of 'character' is important as an intermediation for information and an essential characteristic of "the object" experienced through the sence of sight. Character is symbolicin its form but also in its iconic markings. Motion Picture Animation makes Character not just an expression of an image but visual communication that expands the action of meaning piled up, sign upon sign. The analysis of 'character' suggests that motion picture animated characters could play an important role as a cultural mode leading to new styles not merely as an aesthetic mechanism. The study there with analyzed animated character systematically to discem where the sign phenomena shows up in social conventions under the semiotic rigor of Peirce's concepts of icon, index, and symbol.
