최근 서울시는 청계천의 유지용수 및 환경개선을 위해 한강물을 이용하였다. 이를 계기로 앞으로 유사한 용도로 물을 사용하려는 지방자치단체의 수요는 크게 증가할 것으로 예상된다. 이렇듯 환경을 개선하기 위한 용수의 수요는 이미 현실적인 문제로 대두되고 있음에도 이에 대한 기술적 분석이나 관련 제도가 잘 정비되지 않은 실정이며, 심지어 그 개념 및 용어의 정의조차 모호한 상황이다. '환경개선용수'는 간단하게는 '하천의 수질환경을 개선하고 하천의 기초 생태계를 보호하는 물'을 의미할 수 있다. 그러나 광의로는 효율적인 하천관리와 환경보전에 대한 국민들의 관심이 증가하면서 친수 공간 확대 등의 생활상의 필요까지도 포괄하는 개념이다. 환경개선용수로 인한 편익이란 수량 확보로 인한 수질 정화, 하천생태계 보전, 하천경관 개선, 유지유량 확보, 사회 생활환경 형성 등의 이득을 말한다. 본 연구의 목적은 일반적인 환경재의 가치평가기법을 조사하여 장단점을 분석하고, 이를 바탕으로 환경개선용수에 의한 하천경관개선편익의 계량화 방향을 제시하는 것이다. 특히 수자원의 환경편익 계량화와 관련한 국내 외 연구를 폭넓게 참고하고자 한다. 전통적인 경제학의 영역에서 환경재는 일반적으로 사치재로 분류할 수 있다. 따라서 국민소득수준의 향상에 따라 환경에 대한 사회적 욕구도 증가할 것이며, 이는 곧 환경개선에 의한 편익이 계속 증대될 것임을 의미한다. 수자원사업의 환경개선용수로 인한 편익의 계량화는 타당성분석의 신뢰성 향상으로 사업의 사회적 수용성을 높이는데 도움이 될 것으로 판단된다.

외래종이라 함은 도입종, 귀화종, 침입종을 통칭하는 용어로 특정한 인위적 목적 여부에 관계없이, 본래의 자생지가 아닌 외부에서 들어와 다른 생물의 서식지를 점유하여 번식하는 생물종을 지칭하는 것으로, 침입외래종은 생태계에 도입되고 확산되면서 생물다양성과 연계된 생태계서비스를 위협하거나 또는 악영향을 미치는 외래종을 의미하며, 위해우려종이란 국내에 유입될 경우 생태계 등에 위해를 미칠 우려가 있어 환경부장관이 지정 고시하는 생물종 (살아있는 것으로서 개체의 일부 알 종자 등을 포함)을 지칭한다. 본 연구는 환경부고시에 따른 한반도 미유입 환경위해우려종43종에 대하여 농업환경위해성 평가를 실시하고, 분류동정 기법을 개발하는 등 기초 자료를 제공하고자 수행되었다. 이를 위해, 해외식물표본 확인과 미국 현장조사를 실시하였으며, 우선적으로 8종의 미유입 식물에 대하여 보고하고자 한다. - Carduus acanthoides L. (Asteraceae), Carduus tenuiflorus W. Curtis (Asteraceae), Onopordum acanthium L. (Asteraceae), Chromolaena odorata (L.) R.M. King & H. Rob. (Asteraceae), Hydrocotyle ranunculoides L.f. (Apiaceae), Oenanthe pimpinelloides L. (Apiaceae), Ehrharta erecta Lam. (Poaceae), Paspalum conjugatum P.J. Bergius (Poaceae).

The purpose of this study is to find out implications which can be useful for the development of user empowerment and involvement in Korean disability services. Suggested implications are based on the earlier studies about the concept and areas of user involvement. In the theoretical review, this study compared several terminologies related to user involvement. For the depth explanation, this study described wide range of earlier studies. In addition to these descriptions, this study is exploring to show integrated theoretical framework including diverse areas, major initiatives, participation levels, models of purpose on user involvement. And to grasp ostensive understanding on specific mechanisms on participation practice, this study discussed various issues on basic assumptions, areas of involvement and supportive alternatives. Based on these theoretical examination, this study introduced concrete tasks related to policy, service organization, professional education and research to activate user participation in Korean disability services.

The purpose of this study was to describe self-management related to diabetic nephropathy(DN) patients and analyze instrument for measurement of self-management. Literature search was conducted using computerized databases such as Pubmed, CINAHL, Embase, and Cochrane. The search term of this study were "Diabetes Mellitus", "Self-care", "Kidney Disease". A total of 8 articles were collected and 8 measurement instruments used in the study. But, included studies were assessing the self-management for DN using non-DN specific instruments. Thus, DN specific instrument for measuring the self-care should be developed in future study.

This study was designed to propose library privacy guidelines to be applicable in any library without distinguishing library types. Individual libraries can refine, modify, and use them to fit their situation, using the guidelines as a base. The library privacy protection guidelines developed in this study are composed of purposes, definitions, scope of privacy, law and policy, general information, the library's job performance on the handling of personal information, and library subcontractors. The development objectives and utilization direction of the library privacy guidelines developed in this study are meant to provide a guide for change according to the amended provision of library "Privacy Act" implementation, optimization of library Privacy Directive, a reflection of the relevant laws and regulations, and the standardization-oriented library privacy guidelines.

Korean terminologies on flower structures of angiosperms in plant morphology, written incorrectly in many books, were analysed to suggest accurately expressed terminologies. 24 books in areas such as general biology, plant biology, plant morphology, and biological dictionaries and glossaries were selected to analyse the accuracy of the terminologies for seed structures, e.g., crassinucellate (ovule), tenuinucellate (ovule), placentation, free cental placentation, herkogamy or hercogamy, heterostyly or heterostylous, distyly or distylous, tristyly or tristylous, and hypanthium. The definition and etymology of the terminologies were traced in 4 textbooks of plant anatomy and 2 dictionaries of biology and botany written in English. On the basis of the definition, etymology, and principles for terminology formation according to the International Organization for Standardization (ISO 704:2000), accurately and reasonably expressed Korean terminologies were proposed. The 9 terminologies examined in this study were found in the glossary of biological terminologies, published by the Korean Association of Biological Sciences in 2005, and designated as an editorial source for science and biology textbooks for middle and high schools by Ministry of Education in 2007. However, none of the 9 terminologies described in the glossary were consistent with those proposed in the present study. The inconsistencies indicated the need for a reassessment of this glossary of biological terminologies. The new, proposed terminologies would facilitate mutual understanding between teachers and students of plant biology.

The purpose of this study is to suggest the faceted classification scheme as a new classification scheme for 1,136 records (1950-1979) collected from UNESCO which are related to Korea. After extracting 1,601 nouns from the titles and index terms of the 1,136 records, they were classified and categorized based on the temporarily set fundamental categories. Through repeated classification and categorization, the last category names were derived as facets. As a result, the faceted classification scheme for Korea related records are structured into 10 basic facets and 38 sub-facets.

A nonlinear finite element analysis was conducted in order to examine the moment capacity and flexural behaviour of hollow prestressed concrete filled steel tube(HCFT) piles which compose hollow PHC piles inside thin wall steel tubes. The parameters investigated in this study were various contact conditions between concrete and steel tube, thickness of concrete tube and various PC strands. A simple method is proposed to determine the ultimate flexural strength based on plastic stress distribution method. In order to verify the proposed method, calculated moment capacity of various HCFT piles are compared with the experiment and numerical analysis results.

The purpose of this study is a basic research to formulate missions and visions in libraries. Results of this study are as follows. First of all, conceptions and characters of terms related to planning, strategic management organizing culture dealt with missions and visions of an organization are surveyed. Second, the importance of formulating missions and visions in libraries are explained. Third, missions and visions of libraries in Korea and other countries are surveyed and analyzed. Fourth, several basic functions of library formed the foundation on formulating missions and visions in libraries are discussed. Fifth, this study is to provide the desirable direction and expectation of management centering around missions and visions of libraries in Korea.

In this paper, we presents virtual lecture contents to study educational robots assembling focused on the beginners with little or no background about electronics. Considering the target students, we developed 'virtual laboratory' using flash animation and the students can assemble the robots virtually with mouse and keyboard. Also, the contents includes lectures about some basic electronics theories. electronic devices, and the electronics tools for the beginners. With the features described above, this contents would be useful for the beginners and elementary school students who want to assembling their own robots.
