Sequential Convex Programming Based Performance Analysis of UAV Design (순차 컨벡스 프로그래밍 기반 무인기 설계 형상의 성능 분석)

  • Sequential convex programming based performance analysis of the designed UAV is performed. The nonlinear optimization problems generated by aerodynamics are approximated to socond order program by discretization and convexification. To improve the performance of the algorithm, the solution of the relaxed problem is used as the initial trajectory. Dive trajectory optimization problem is analyzed through iterative solution procedure of approximated problem. Finally, the maximum final velocity according to the performance of the actuator model was compared.

  • This paper presents implementation details of car communications system based on V2I2V model over broadband wireless networks including WCDMA, HSDPA and WiBro. Also, we measures the major performance metrics such as Round Trip Time, end-to-end latency and others between in-vehicle client and location management system by driving across urban areas in Daegu city. Analysis of experimental results would be helpful to consider the applicability of traffic safety services using V2I2V-based car communications over various broadband wireless networks.

An Automatic Coding System of Korean Standard Industry/Occupation Code Using Example-based Learning (예제기반의 학습을 이용한 한국어 표준 산업/직업 자동 코딩 시스템)

  • Standard industry and occupation code are usually assigned manually in Korean census. The manual coding is very labor intensive and expensive task. Furthermore, inconsistent coding is resulted from the ability of human experts and their working environments. This paper proposes an automatic code classification system which converts natural language responses on survey questionnaires into corresponding numeric codes by using manually constructed rule base and example-based machine learning. The system was trained with 400,000 records of which standard codes was assigned. It was evaluated with 10-fold cross validation and was tested with three code sets: population occupation set, industry set, and industry survey set. The proposed system showed 76.63%, 82.24 and 99.68% accuracy for each code set.

Autonomous Battle Tank Detection and Aiming Point Search Using Imagery (영상정보에 기초한 전차 자율탐지 및 조준점탐색 연구)

  • This paper presents an autonomous detection and aiming point computation of a battle tank by using RGB images. Maximally stable extremal regions algorithm was implemented to find features of the tank, which are matched with images extracted from streaming video to figure out the region of interest where the tank is present. The median filter was applied to remove noises in the region of interest and decrease camouflage effects of the tank. For the tank segmentation, k-mean clustering was used to autonomously distinguish the tank from its background. Also, both erosion and dilation algorithms of morphology techniques were applied to extract the tank shape without noises and generate the binary image with 1 for the tank and 0 for the background. After that, Sobel's edge detection was used to measure the outline of the tank by which the aiming point at the center of the tank was calculated. For performance measurement, accuracy, precision, recall, and F-measure were analyzed by confusion matrix, resulting in 91.6%, 90.4%, 85.8%, and 88.1%, respectively.

재생아스팔트 포장의 구조설계 기술

  • 포장구조체에서 요구되는 강도를 갖게 하는 구조 설계의 방법은 경험적 절차부터 반역학적 절차까지 발전되어 왔다. 재생 가열아스팔트혼합물이 기존의 가열아스팔트혼합물(HMA)과 비교하여 비슷하거나 때에 따라 더 좋은 성능을 가져오므로, AASHTO설계지침서에서는 본질적으로 재생(recycled) HMA 재료와 신생(virgin) HMA 재료간의 차이가 없다고 기술하고 있으며, 기존 HMA 재료에 사용되는 덧씌우기설계법의 구조회복 분석방법(structural rehabilitation analysis method)을 재생포장설계에도 권장하고 있다. 재생 가열아스팔트의 설계를 위한 AASHTO 방법은 설계교통량, 교통량 및 수행능력예측의 신뢰수준, 공용기간, 그리고 포장상태 평가지수에 의하여 결정된 포장구조체에서 요구되는 포장두께지수(SN)에 기초한다. 포장두께지수(SN)는 포장층 두께, 상대강도계수, 각 층의 배수조건들의 곱의 조합으로서 나타내어질 수 있다. 덧씌우기로 간주될 수 있는 재생된 층의 포장두께지수(SN)는 기존 포장에서의 포장두께지수와 보강된 포장에서 요구되는 포장두께지수의 차이에 의하여 계산되어질 수 있다. 상대강도계수의 값은 AASHTO 설계지침에 명시되어 있다. AI 방법은 교통량, 노상의 회복탄성계수, 그리고 설계두께를 계산하기 위한 표층과 기층의 종류를 사용한다. 이 방법은 재생된 가열혼합물질과 기존의 가열혼합물질과는 거의 비슷한 성능을 나타낸다고 본다. 또다른 AI 방법에 의하면 재생된 층은 덧씌우기층이라고 간주하고, 현재의 포장두께와 요구되어지는 포장두께 사이의 차를 이용하여 재생될 층의 두께를 산정한다. 소요되는 덧씌우기 두께는 포장의 현장 상태지수(condition rating)와 각 종류에 따른 포장체와 포장재료가 아스팔트 콘크리트층의 등가두께로 전환되어 나타나는 방법에 근거하여 결정될 수 있다. 또 다른 방법은 포장체 각 층의 물성과 하중을 이용한 컴퓨터 프로그램에 의하여 산정된 하중-변형 응답에 의한 설계 방법을 포함한다. 이런 방법들에서는 포장체는 탄성이나 점탄성층 위에서 탄성이나 점탄성 거동을 보인다고 가정한다. 재생 상온혼합물에서의 AASHTO 설계 방법은 가열혼합물의 설계방법과 유사하다. 그러나, 재생 상온혼합물에서의 상대강도계수는 시공방법에 좌우되므로, 기술자의 판단을 근거로 하여 결정되어져야 한다. AI방법에서는 포장구조체를 다층탄성구조라고 보고, 노상의 강도와 설계 교통량을 근거로 요구되는 포장두께를 결정한다. 재생 상온혼합물 기층의 두께는 재생 상온혼합물 기충 위에서 가열아스팔혼합물에 대하여 산정된 덧씌우기 두께를 이용하여 결정할 수 있다. 아스팔트 표면의 재생은 기존 포장의 구조적 능력을 정상적으로 개선할 수 없으므로, 표면 재생의 두께를 설계하는 방법은 없다. 그러나, 임의의 덧씌우기 두께는 기존의 덧씌우기 설계법에 기초하여 산정 할 수 있다. 만약 덧씌우기가 승차감만을 개선시킨다고 여겨진다면, 혼합물에서 사용되어지는 최대 골재 크기에 기초한 최소 두께를 결정할 수 있다.

  • This study was conducted to develop self-repairing ability for concrete so that inspection could be available even in the event of minute cracks, for more economic concrete structure maintenance and longevity. This is a basic attempt to develop self-repairing concrete using the biochemical reaction of bacteria through an innovative method. In this study, the characteristics and problems posed by self-repairing concrete as proposed in international scientific journals were examined, and the potential of new concrete reformation and performance improvement using bio-mineralization was explored. Bio-mineralization, which is an action of creating bio-minerals using an organism, was proposed. A new concept of bacteria such as bacillus pasteurii using bio-mineralization that precipitates calcium carbonate, as well as the possibility of mechanical performance and durability of concrete and repair of cracks, was introduced. Directions for further study through basic experiments and developmental feasibility of self-repairing concrete were also presented.

Fundamental Study on the properties of concrete incoporating pond-ash as fine aggregate (잔골재로서 매립회를 혼입한 콘크리트의 특성에 관한 기초 연구)

  • With an increase of power consumption due to industrial development, the generation of coal ash has been growing tremendously and, accordingly, environmental concern over its disposal and insufficiency in disposal sites have been raised as other issues to be considered. In order to examine the usability of coal ash as an aggregate for concrete, such fundamental information as slump, air contents, mechanical properties and durability of concrete has been secured by way of setting 10, 20 or 30 wt. % of fine aggregate alternative rate of ash and identifying its basic properties at each pond-ash contents. The results of the study indicate that slump and air content heavily depend on the site of generation, and this might greatly influence on the content of fine particles of the ash. It is also shown that its freezing and thawing resistance tends to be relatively lower than that of Plain, which requires comprehensive examination over next few years on the absorptiveness and properties of mixed water of the ash collected from each disposal site.

  • A robust speech recognition technology is required that does not degrade the performance of speech recognition and the quality of the speech when speech recognition is performed in an actual environment of the speech mixed with noise. With the development of such speech recognition technology, it is necessary to develop an application that achieves stable and high speech recognition rate even in a noisy environment similar to the human speech spectrum. Therefore, this paper proposes a speech enhancement algorithm that processes a noise suppression based on the MMSA-STSA estimation algorithm, which is a short-time spectral amplitude method based on the error of the least mean square. This algorithm is an effective nonlinear speech enhancement algorithm based on a single channel input and has high noise suppression performance. Moreover this algorithm is a technique that reduces the amount of distortion of the speech based on the statistical model of the speech. In this experiment, in order to verify the effectiveness of the MMSA-STSA estimation algorithm, the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is verified by comparing the input speech waveform and the output speech waveform.

An Experimental Study For Improvement of Joint Detail of Steel Pier - Foundation (강재교각 기초부의 연결상세 개선을 위한 실험적 연구)

  • Generally, a steel pier-foundation has been designed and constructed with a anchor frame. However, because of the complicated design and construction, the foundation's size has become large and has been overdesigned. In this study, three specimens were made and the tests were conducted to suggest a new shape in regard to the pier-foundation's joint details using the high performance steel. One of the specimens was made up of the general anchors and the anchor frame. Another specimen consisted of the high tension anchors and the studs, and the other specimen was composed of the high tension anchors and the inner steels. After the performance of each specimen was compared and analyzed, the behavior characteristics according to the joint were analyzed.

  • Pile reinforcement systems with enlarged upper section are newly introduced by using a mechanism that most of horizontal forces are resisted in the upper part of the pile. The new systems are expected to be effectively applicable to the marine structures including port and harbor facilities. In this study, three different reinforcement methods such as bucket pile type, top base pile type, and grouting reinforcement type were utilized in the 3-D. numerical simulations. The parametric study deals with the effects of various factors including soil types and stratigraphy, reinforcement methods, type and dimension of the pile on the lateral behaviors of the pile. The results show that the reinforcement method with bucket pile is the most efficient one compared to the top base pile type and grouting reinforcement type.
