Asiacornococcus kaki (Kuwana) known as a serious pest on Diospyros kaki Thunb. has been reported erroneously as Eriococcus lagerstroemiae Kuwana. These two species were redescribed and illustrated for correct identification by the morphological characters of adult females with known host plants. Asiacornococcus Tang & Hao is a newly known genus from the Korean Peninsula.

Ogma koesanense sp.n. has two head annuli. The first head annule is much larger than the second; blunt scales mare or less in 17-19 longitudinal l~nes and acute tail. Criconemello onnuiata. Criconema cardamoml, Ogma decalineaturn, 0. dtyum are newly recorded from Korea. Morphological characteristics of previously reported speaes, Ciiconema demani is discussed.

The purpose of this study was to compare motives and tendency of purchasing jewelry between the forties and more than the fifties in middle-aged wives. The data was collected from 460 middle-aged wives living in Busan, from April 1 to May 31 in 2000. The results were as follows：Attitudes toward purchasing showed past-positive, thrifty attitude. Pursuit of beauty had the highest score among the various buying motives. Deficiency of stock and stock dissatisfaction ranked the second. Wives who are more than the fifties showed higher score in motives and preference of buying jewelry than wives in the forties.

Feeding plants of rice water weevil(RWW) adult and larvae were observed. Thirteen families including 104 species were found as host plants of RWW adult, and 74 species of them were newly identified as its host. Thmedia triandra var. japonica, Luzula capitata, Agropyron tsukushiense var. ransiens, and Zoysiama crostachya were most favorable hosts of adult RWW. Host plants for larvae were 9 species of weeds including Cperus nipponicus, Eleccharis kuroguwa, Sagittaria trifolia, and Claviceps purpurea in the rice paddy fields.
