Image Procession Algorithm For Antenna Extraction And Correction (안테나 추출및 보정을 위한 영상처리 알고리즘)

  • There is increasingly interested in the measurement of antenna's characteristics for one's manufacture according to one's various application. Due to this, the antenna measurement system need be made with more and more great precision. On measuring of the antenna's characteristic, the conventional system handled by human generates the error due to controlling the position of the system by user. Therefore there need be introduced the automatic measurement system of antenna's characteristic. In this paper, we propose antenna extraction algorithm for the Antenna automatic measurement system of antenna's characteristic. The proposed algorithm gets the antenna image from antenna measurement system, extracts an antenna object from the image, and extracts the parameters for antenna's slant and antenna's location. The extracted parameters is used to correct location and distortions of the antenna and automatic measurement. The proposed algorithm is applied to the patch antenna. The results show that antenna's object is efficiently extracted and the angle for correcting the error is calculated well.

A Method for Thresholding and Correction of Skew in Camera Document Images (카메라 문서 영상의 이진화 및 기울어짐 보정 방법)

  • Camera image is very sensitive to illumination that result in difficulties for recognizing character. Also Camera captured document images have not only skew but also vignetting effect and geometric distortion. Vignetting effect make it difficult to separate characters from the document images. Geometric distortion, occurred by the mismatch of angle and center position between the document image and the camera, make the shape of characters to be distorted, so that the character recognition is more difficult than the case of using scanner. In this paper, we propose a method that can increase the performance of character recognition by correcting the geometric distortion of document images using a linear approximation which changes the quadrilateral region to the rectangle one. The proposed method also determine the quadrilateral transform region automatically, using the alignment of character lines and the skewed angles of characters located in the edges of each character line. Proposed method, therefore, can correct the geometric distortion without getting positional information from camera.

  • Aerodynamic data measured in a wind tunnel has inevitable errors due to the presence of the wind tunnel walls. These unwanted interference effects must be corrected for the wall interference free aerodynamic data. Streamline curvature effects are caused by straightening of streamlines due to wind tunnel walls. Classical Glauert's correction method that is a standard method for fixed wing aircraft is not suitable for rotary wing aircraft. In this paper, Heyson's correction method of which wake model is compatible with rotors is used to correct the rotor shaft angle as well as the dynamic pressure. The results of Heyson's method are compared with Glauert's correction method.

  • This paper proposes a method using the straight line Hough transform(SLHT) that recognizes the position of DNA band images from the scanner. The method also detects and corrects automatically the leaning angle of the image. After binarization of a gray-scale DNA band images, the SLHT detects line components involved in the image and recognizes the position of the image using the cross paints of the line components assuming the image is in retangular shape. To improve efficiency of reading many IINA band images through the scanner, this method finds and corrects the leaning angle accurately as less than -t I degree.

  • Research on indoor location tracking technology using smart phone is actively being carried out. Especially, in order to display the movement path of the smartphone on the map, the azimuth angle should be estimated by using the geomagnetic sensor built in most smart phones. Due to the distortion of the magnetic field due to the surrounding steel structure and the inclination of the smartphone, the estimation error of azimuthal angle may be occurred. In this paper, we propose a correction method of the geomagnetic sensor at the stationary state and a correction method for the inclination of the smartphone. We also propose a method to correct the azimuth error due to the difference between the magnetic north and the grid north.

  • The vertical members of structures are shortened as time goes on. Because structures have been high-rising and atypical there should be different axial loads among vertical members and it causes differential column shortenings. The differential column shortening add stresses to connections, make slab tilt, and damage to non-structural components. To reduce these influences compensation is need. The rational compensation means the exact expectation of amounts of column shortenings and the reasonable corrections. The expectation of column shortenings are more exact as researched, however, there is little research about the compensation. This paper presents the average correction method and the constraints for differential column shortenings considering errors due to the construction precision. The relations between constraints and the number of correction groups give an objective criterion for decision of constraints.

Digit Segmentation in Digit String Image Using CPgraph (CPgraph를 이용한 숫자열 영상에서 숫자 분할)

  • In this paper, I propose an algorithm to generate an input digit image for a digit recognition system by detecting a digit string in an image and segmenting the digits constituting the digit string. The proposed algorithm detects blobbed digit string through blob detection, designates a digit string area and corrects digit string skew using the detected blob information. And the proposed algorithm corrects the digit skew and determines the boundary points for the digit segmentation in the corrected digit sequence using three CPgraphs newly defined in this paper. In digit segmentation experiments using the image group including digit strings printed with a range of the font sizes and the image group including handwritten digit strings, the proposed algorithm successfully segments 100% and 90% of the digits in each image group.

Facial Feature Detection Method within the Skewed Facial Images (기울어진 얼굴 영상에서 얼굴 구성 요소 추출 방법)

  • 본 논문에서는 기울어진 얼굴 영상에서 얼굴 구성 요소를 추출하는 방법을 제안한다. 제안하는 방법은 먼저 피부 색상 정보를 이용하여 얼굴 후보 영역을 추출한다. 이때 YIQ 색상 좌표계를 이용하고 조명의 영향을 반영하기 위하여 피부색상 영역을 다단계로 분할하여 색상 영역을 각각 결정한 뒤 적중률을 계산하여 얼굴 후보 영역을 결정하는 방법을 제안하였다. 2단계에서는 얼굴의 구성 요소중 가장 두드러진 특징인 눈동자 영역을 기준으로 한국인의 표준 얼굴 통계치를 적응하여 탐색하는 방법을 사용하였다. 이때 탐색된 눈동자 좌표로부터 얼굴의 기울기를 추정한다. 다음 단계에서는 얼굴 후보 영역에 대하여 기울어짐 보정을 수행한 뒤, 수평 수직 투영값을 이용하여 얼굴의 구성요소를 탐색한 뒤 얼굴 포함 최소 사각형을 정의하였다. 마지막으로 얼굴 영상 데이터 베이스로부터 얼굴 포함 최소 사각형에 대한 명암값 표준템플릿을 정의하고, 입력 영상에서 탐색된 최소 포함 사각형에 대하여 얼굴 영역 검증하는 방법을 제안하였다.

  • 비정형 형상의 초고층 건물이 증가함에 따라, 설계 시공 계획 단계에서의 시공 중 건물의 구조적 안정성 검토가 핵심 사항으로 부각되고 있다. 시공 중 비정형 초고층 건물의 안정성을 확보하기 위해서는, 횡력저항시스템이 완전히 형성되기 전 구조체 자중의 불균형 분포에 의해 발생하는 수직부재의 불균등 축소, 골조의 기울어짐 혹은 횡변위 등이 시공단계해석에 의하여 검토되어야 하며, 시공단계해석은 구조건전성모니터링, 시공 보정 프로그램, 시공계획 수립 등과 체계적으로 결합되어 진행되어야 한다. 이 논문은 시공 중 비정형 초고층 건물의 구조 안정성 검토를 위하여, 실제 비정형 초고층 프로젝트에 시공단계해석을 적용하였으며, 시공 중 초고층 건물의 안정성 확보를 위한 주요 검토 항목 및 방법을 제시하였다.

Line Edge-Based Type-Specific Corner Points Extraction for the Analysis of Table Form Document Structure (표 서식 문서의 구조 분석을 위한 선분 에지 기반의 유형별 꼭짓점 검출)

  • It is very important to classify a lot of table-form documents into the same type of classes or to extract information filled in the template automatically. For these, it is necessary to accurately analyze table-form structure. This paper proposes an algorithm to extract corner points based on line edge segments and to classify the type of junction from table-form images. The algorithm preprocesses image through binarization, skew correction, deletion of isolated small area of black color because that they are probably generated by noises.. And then, it processes detections of edge block, line edges from a edge block, corner points. The extracted corner points are classified as 9 types of junction based on the combination of horizontal/vertical line edge segments in a block. The proposed method is applied to the several unconstraint document images such as tax form, transaction receipt, ordinary document containing tables, etc. The experimental results show that the performance of point detection is over 99%. Considering that almost corner points make a correspondence pair in the table, the information of type of corner and width of line may be useful to analyse the structure of table-form document.
