A Study on the Ground S/W Simulator for the Test of a Star Tracker (별센서 시험을 위한 지상 S/W 시뮬레이터 연구)

  • One of the most important elements in satellite attitude control is sensor technology. Generally, inertial sensors introduce drift and noise which cause continuous errors. Absolute reference is needed to eliminate the problem of the inertial sensors. Star trackers are used primarily for such a purpose. There has been relatively less research effort or ground feasibility test experience on star trackers in the domestic side despite the importance of the associated technologies. In this paper, we re-introduce the basic concept of a star tracker and present the S/W simulator for the star tracker. The star simulator may be used ground test of a star tracker for the basic functioning test or the whole spacecraft test with the star tracker assembled.

  • In Joseon dynasty, national roads for mainly official trips, were designed to connect capital directly to each county seat or eupchi, and militarily strategic points. The entrance of county seat where national road reach to (sometimes there has been a gate of fortress), regarded as main entrance of the county seat Also the direction county office or gwan-a ordinally heads was regarded as main entrance. Therefore, starting point of national road from county seat was not always heading for capital, but south because most of county offices head south. Nevertheless, actual traffic often ignore such a symbolic rule, and formed another practical routes.

  • In this paper we introduce the concept of MPLS-based VPN and propose a scheme for providing VPN services in MPLS networks. Furthermore, we design the control components and the operational procedures and evaluated the performance of traditional VPN implementation methods and MPLS-based VPN. In this scheme it is possible to solve several problems that IP-based VPN pertains via the allocation of VPN ID and virtual space without tunneling, thereby providing effective VPN services. In other words, the MPLS-based VPN scheme uses MPLS networking technology together with the PSTN which can achieve a perfect segregation of user traffic on per-customer basis in a physical link and can guarantee high reliability and security levels. Specially, in the perspective of customers, it can save networking facilities installation and maintenance costs considerably. On the contrary, it possesses some shortcomings in that its deployment tends to be restricted within an ISP's network boundary and it is vulnerable to external security break-ins when going through public networks such as the Internet due to its lack of data encryption capability.

  • This study examined the current state of fitness IT which are commercially available, and proposed the prospect and promoting plans for fitness IT. Latest wearable smart market has been reorganized into smart watch market and fitness tracker market. Fitness trackers which are typical devices of fitness IT technology has developed various types of such as watch, band, clothes, glasses, and lens. Until now, the most popular type of fitness tracker are watch and band including clip, necklace, hair band etc.. Also Apple and Google referred to as the two major axes of mobile platform has provided a health-related platform such as "Healthkit" and "Google Fit" for preoccupying the fitness business. The view of the fitness IT has seen a continuous growth trend considering smaller and lighter of fitness-related wearable device. To continuous growth and promote of fitness IT, it is expected to require mash-up a variety of fitness applications and services, ensuring the convenience of user experience, design and resonable price.

  • Although claims and disputes may be never avoided in construction industry, until 1998, there are no systematic claims in the public sector in Korea. But, because of IMF, Contractors have been recognized that cost management is essential factor and contractual right can be demanded against the Public Orderer. Many affirmative effect such as, appearance of new professional service, prevention of lower quality construction, restrain of unnecessary budget expenditure, arrangement of duplicated or triplicated liability and revision of unnecessary administrative control may be anticipated through alleging claims, but in site representative manager and construction company may have ambiguous fear, somebody tried to allege claims. Therefore, to activate systematic construction claims, 32 public construction project claims alleged by contractors from 1998 to 2001 were analyzed, inactivated reasons of claims were examined and contractor's action plan to allege claims was suggested in this paper.

  • 기상청은 2008년 현재 전국에 107개의 디지털 지진관측망을 운영하고 있다. 또한 지진관측 유관기관인 한국지질자원연구원, 한국원자력안전기술원, 한전전력연구원에서 각 기관의 목적에 맞게 지진관측소를 운영하고 있으며, 이들 지진관측자료의 공유를 목적으로 실시간으로 통합하는 통합지진과측망(KISS)을 2000년에 구축하여 지진분석에 쓰이고 있다. 한반도의 지진발생 현황은 1978년부터 2007년까지 776회로 약 26회/년 정도가 발생하였다. 최근 중국의 쓰촨성과 일본 이와테 지진으로 지진 및 지진예지에 대한 국민적 관심이 대두되고 있다. 한반도에서도 큰 규모의 지진이 발생할 가능성에 대비해 기상청에서는 지진관측망과 지진예지 목적의 지구물리관측망을 구축 중에 있다. 지구물리관측망은 INTERMAGNET에서 등록할 수 있는 수준의 관측소를 목표로 인위적인 자기장의 교란이 적은 지질학적인 요소들을 고려한 후보지 선정을 위하여 지구자기업무에 관한 기획연구(서만철 2007)를 수행 하였다. 그 결과 국가 중심 지구자기관측소의 위치는 충남 공주시와 청양군 사이에 있는 칠갑산 지역이 가장 좋은 후보지라고 제안하여 청양지역을 주변으로 국유림 및 군유지를 조사하여 충남 청양군 장평면 화산리 산 36-2번지에 후보지를 선정하여 최적의 입지 조건을 검증하기 위해 인천교육대학교의 이휘순 교수 MT탐사를 수행 주변의 배경잡음을 측정하여 양호한 조건을 갖춘 것으로 확인되었다. 지구자기관측소에는 Fluxgate Magnetometer 1대, Total field Magnetometer 1대, Theodolite 1대, SP(Self Potential) Monitoring system 1대와 장비들을 보호 할 수 있는 관측소가 설치될 예정이다

  • U-City has been promoted nation-wide by development of recent IT technology. This paper studied the concept of 3D-virtual city in order to realize the current Ubiquitous City(U-City) efficiently, and to manage all the RFID/USN monitoring data in the real U-City. 3D-Virtual City is the concept of the reproduction of real world U-City, for embodying Ubiquitous technology while using Digital map, satellite image, VRML(Virtual Reality Modeling Language). U&V-City is the four-dimensional future city that real-time wire/wireless communication network and 3D-web GIS shall be connected that massive database, intelligent service be perceived through employing EAI(External Authoring Interface) that provides HTML&JAVA, and interface for efficient removal/process of massive information/ service and also by employing GPS/LBS/Navigation in support of world-wide orientation concept, and RTLS(Real Time Location System).

  • Recently technological drive on autonomous vehicle is on the rush. Along with the trend, researches on driver's perspective are increasing. However, previous studies have limitations in terms of study period and rich experience. In this paper, we conducted an ethnographically inspired fieldwork to observe human-autonomous car interaction. We had six participants to ride a prototype autonomous car on the real road for six days. After, we generated trust, distrust factors according to Lee & See's categorization of trust dimension: process, performance, and purpose. We derived eight distrust factors that saliently influences passenger's experience in autonomous vehicle. Our research broadens trust model into autonomous driving context based on real road field study and contributes to automotive community with design guidelines to increase trust toward autonomous vehicle.

More than recent cooperation education, at the level of practical use, field oriented talent needed in the industry demand Internationalized talent which can become members of a global community cultivated with International perspective and insight. Furthermore, while currently each university's circumstances and the position is different, and while this strategy, each unique, individual, specific international level's Cooperation Education Plan is Established and operating actively, Governments and businesses will be able to train desired international academic centers' advanced talent. We have come to hope that this will act as an important factor in furthering national competitiveness.

  • As processor platforms are continuously moving toward wireless mobile systems, embedded mobile processors are expected to perform more and more powerful, and therefore the development of an efficient power management algorithm for these battery-operated mobile and handheld systems has become a critical challenge. It is well known that a memory system is a main performance limiter in the processor point of view. Although many DVFS studies have been considered for the efficient utilization of limited battery resources, recent works do not explicitly show the interaction between the processor and the memory. In this research, to properly reflect short/long-term memory access patterns of the embedded workloads in wireless mobile processors, we propose a memory buffer utilization as a new index of DVFS level prediction. The simulation results show that our solution provides 5.86% energy saving compared to the existing DVFS policy in case of memory intensive applications, and it provides 3.60% energy saving on average.
