Introduction of the Mission Construct for the Life-cycle Management of the National R&D Programs (국가연구개발사업의 전주기적 관리를 위한 미션구성체의 도입에 관한 연구)

  • The aim of this paper is to make embodiment and structure of the mission concept, named mission construct, in the National R&D Programs as an effective tool which manages the life-cycle processes and examines their validity and duplication problems. While it is generally accepted the premise that the mission is the fundamental reason for being in planning and implementing a public program, its role is being overlooked because of its vagueness and abstractness. To derive the mission construct of a program level, existing literature on corporate/organization missions and their components is examined. The study identifies and proposes the following four dimensions and their attributes: raison d'etre, program definition, program identification and program goals.

컨조인트와 트리즈의 통합에 관한 연구

  • 일반적으로 실무에서 공학적인 상충(Trade-offs)의 문제를 해결하는 가장 대표적인 방법론으로 트리즈(TRIZ)가 있다. 지금까지 트리즈관련 연구에 의하면 공학적 파라미터간의 모순을 해결하는 데는 트리즈의 유용성이 이미 확인되었다고 볼 수 있다. 하지만 제품 설계에 있어 트리즈의 사용 범위를 반드시 공학적인 파라미터간의 모순을 해결하는 데 사용을 국한시킬 필요는 없다. 관점을 달리하여 선행설계 엔지니어가 처음부터 소비자의 요구사항에 대한 컨조인트(Conjoint)단계에서 모순을 푼다면 공학적인 문제로 환언(Reduce)시키거나 분화(Breakdown)시켜 제한조건하에서 지엽적이고 복잡한 모순 문제를 풀지 않아도 될 것이기 때문이다. 본 논문에서는 고객 니즈 중심의 컨조인트와 공학 파라미터 모순 해결의 트리즈의 사고를 자연스럽게 연결하기 위해서 제약이론(TOC)의 갈등해소도(CRD : Conflict Resolution Diagram)를 도입하도록 한다. 갈등해 소도는 목적을 달성하기 위해 전행조건의 갈등요소를 확인한 후 타협안을 찾지 않고 잘못된 가정을 엎을 대책으로서 주입(injection) 제시하여 목표를 달성하는 방법이다 따라서 컨조인트의 고객 니즈 최적화를 달성하기 위해 세부 고객 니즈의 갈등요소를 확인하고 트리즈를 주입시켜 제품 설계 목적을 달성할 수 있게 적용하고자 한다. 본 연구의 목적은 첫째, 제약이론(TOC)의 사고를 바탕으로 트리즈를 이용하여 고객니즈의 모순관계를 해결하는 진보된 컨조인트 방법론을 제시하는 것이다. 이 방법론을 앞으로 Conjoint-TRIZ라 표기하도록 하겠다. 둘째, 본 연구에서 제시한 Conjoint-TRIZ 방법론을 자동차 인테리어 설계의 새로운 접근법으로 적용을 시도하여 그 유용성을 검증한다.

Efficiency of Management Education in Cyber Space (사이버 교육에 있어서의 효율성에 관한 연구)

  • The new way of doing education in cyber space is not limited by time or locations. The students do not need to attend classroom physically on time. Networked computers allow students to study their subjects at any time and any where. This study tries to probe the relationships among demographic variables and instructional variables with students satisfaction in the management education. Pervious studies found out that the critical success factors of cyber educations are based on the demographic and instructional variables. The results of the study demonstrate that demographic variables are not significantly related with students satisfaction. Rather instructional variables such as personal interactions with professors, job related contents and careful reduction of difficulties countered during the class proceeding are more significantly related with learning satisfaction. The result shows the newly emerged internet based education system requires in-depth collaborations and coordination among professors, system engineers, education instrument designers, and students.

  • Naro-science satellite which will be launched by KSLV-1 has been successfully developed. Naro-science satellite is a 100kg-class small size science satellite whose structure is composed of one of a typical light and high strength aluminum honeycomb sandwich panel. In this research, dynamic responses of the satellite with respect to the design requirements were investigated by means of real experiments and numerical finite element analyses. The core technologies of the structure design and analysis about fracture and safety has been obtained through a wide range of analyses and tests. The results obtained in this study can be significantly utilized for the next generation satellite development.

  • Effective and Economic game evaluation before game publishing is very important for game development company. In this paper, we designed and developed an effective web based game evaluation system according to three major game genre including MMORPG, FPS, and web game. The proposed evaluation model consists of five evaluation items such as game interest, competitiveness, technology, earning power, and market value and has common evaluation items and independent ones according to game genre. To reflect characteristics of each game genre, we divided evaluation items into common evaluation elements and individual ones according to game genre. We applied the proposed system to two real games of a game development company and showed the result.

A Study on Comparison of Finite Element Analysis with Model Test of Shallow Footing Failure for Cohesionless Soil with Non-associated Plasticity and Some Smooth Footing (사질토지반의 지지력분석을 위한 얕은기초의 파괴거동에 대한 모형실험과 유한요소해석 비교 검토)

  • This paper describes the procedure to predict the entire load-displacement curve and the failure mechanism of shallow strip footing for real soil. The presented results show that it is possible to analyze the post peak behavior of shallow strip footing and to give a progressive failure mechanism clearly. Finite element computation of the bearing capacity factor $N_{\gamma}$ have been made for shallow strip footings with friction angles and dilation angle. It is shown that commonly used values of $N_{\gamma}$ which have generally been based on associated plasticity calculations are unconservative for real soil with non-associated plasticity and some smooth footing.

  • Lignocellulosic biomass is the most abundant raw material for bioconversion in many country. However the high costs for pretreatment and enzymatic hydrolysis currently deter commercialization of lignocellulosic biomass, especially wood biomass which is considered as the most recalcitrant material for enzymatic hydrolysis mainly due to the high lignified structure and the nature of the lignin component. Therefore, overcoming recalcitrance of lignocellulosic biomass for converting carbohydrates into intermediates that can subsequently be converted into biobased fuels and biobased products is the primary technical and economic challenge for bioconversion process. This study was mainly reviewed on the research trend of pretreatment with lignocellulosic biomass in bioethanol production process.

  • Nowadays, because IT market expansion and complexity has been progressing and competition has intensified, there is a growth of information system building industries having difficulty through traditional business management methods. A survey was conducted among site personnel (Project Manager PM and Project Participants) to generate an institutional framework to efficiently manage this and project management process support. Through this, the importance of element technology and fragility of software development project management must be understood and an improvement of the element technology must be generated. By using this, a very relevant result that presented a logical basis was obtained in the decision making of the importance of project management and the role of overall project manager and core project management fields.

An Effective Scene Compositor in MPEG-4 Player (MPEG-4재생기에서의 효율적인 장면 구성기)

  • MPEG-4 supports dynamic scene composition through add/delete/replace of object or change of object's properties. Other existing MPEG-4 players focus on transmitting and playing the multimedia data according to MPEG-4 standard. It is insufficient for MPEG-4's characteristic such as playback of various objects and playback of dynamic scene composition. In this paper, we propose an effective scene compositor which is the core component of MPEG-4 player The scene compositor is an optimized processor that searches efficiently the scene graph, creates the data structure for independent management of object information and improves processing ability of user interaction. The scene compositor supports sufficiently scene description information, and is managed independently in player for component extension and application of mobile environment.

Finite Element Analysis for Bending Behavior of Composite Beam with Perfobond FRP Used as a Permanent Formwork (퍼포본드 FRP를 영구거푸집으로 활용한 합성보의 휨거동에 관한 유한요소해석 연구)

  • In recent years, many efforts have steadily been allocated to develop a new deck system in terms of its materials and structures in order to make up for the shortcomings of reinforced concrete deck. This study implemented and analyzed the verification for concrete composite beam with perfobond FRP as a permanent formwork and the tensile reinforcement, using non-linear finite element analysis program. Approximately 8-15% difference of ultimate failure load between numerical and experimental results were found and showed a similar figure of strain distribution in failure state.
