SMEs are being forced to continuously innovate their technologies for survival due to changes in the external industrial environment. In order to innovate technology or discover technology cooperation partners of SMEs, it is necessary to actively introduce open innovation, centering on industry-academia-research. However, SMEs need to use open innovation brokers due to their lack of access to external resources and difficulty in independent promotion, and accordingly, the role of open innovation brokers is important. Until now, performance factors and influencing factors have been studied mainly by technology providers in the field of technology transfer, and research on mediators is very insufficient. This study analyzes the role and function of technology transfer intermediaries to explore the role of open innovation intermediaries and how they differ from existing technology transfer intermediaries. This role of open innovation intermediaries is of practical significance in that it deals with the role of intermediaries based on the results of government support projects, and it is of academic significance to serve as the basis for future research on open innovation intermediaries.

The development and accomplishment of Open Source Software(OSS) is one of the hottest, as well as the most recent topics in the software industry. Prior studies with respects to OSS have concentrated on discovering both developers and users' rationales of participating OSS projects, analyzing specific OSS solutions or OSS movement itself. However, the empirical study on identifying determinants that influence organizational adoption of OSS and further diffusion of the technology has been a scant. Thus, the main purpose of this study is to investigate the key determinants affecting organizational adoption of OSS. The proposed research model incorporates organizational needs(Evolutional Leadership, Adaptive performance, Readiness for Change) and technological needs(Job Relevance, Cost Benefits, Software Quality) in order to explain organizational OSS adoption. Further, this study assesses the impact organizational OSS adoption has on the OSS Performance and OSS Diffusion. Results from 366 adopting organizations in various industries show three constructs in organizational needs and two constructs in technological needs with exception of Job Relevance have a significant influence on OSS Adoption; and adoption impacts its performance, and diffusion. The implications of the results suggest not only a new theoretical model for OSS research, but also the important implications for OSS diffusion.

In recent years, universities, with their intellectual properties and human resources, become main drivers for technology transfer. Universities in Korea have various organizations to support the technology transfer and commercialization. Among them, a technology holding company plays the critical role to successfully implement the task. Nonetheless, the performance of the technology holding company is well below the expectation of industry, government and universities themselves. The lack of expertises and experience together with the ill-suited government policies could be attributable to the observed under performance. More recently, however, the technology holding company acts as an accelerator or venture capital to search and fund promising start-ups. The university venture capital thus transforms a traditional university into an entrepreneurial university. Focusing on the role of the technology holding company as an accelerator or venture capital, the paper analyzes the characteristics of the university venture capital and the invested start-ups. The performance of the university venture capital is measured and the determinants of the performance are empirically tested. The results show that the co-investment of outside investors and the support of government program, known as Tech Incubator Program for Startup Korea, yields the highest performance. The result indicates that the coordination of the university venture capital, industry and government is the key to the success of early start-ups. The paper is the first to analyze the performance of the university venture capitals in Korea and thus contributes to the literature.

In this paper the relationship between the business performance and the importance perception of management activities is analyzed. The analysis is conducted by dividing the analysis time-frame into before and after the economic recession. In addition, we consider the type of industry and the type of government support policy that the companies participate in. According to the results, the management activities, such as the introduction of domestic external technologies and the release of new products, are to have a significant impact on business performance for both before and after the economic recession. The introduction of foreign external technologies is significant before the economic recession, but after the economic recession the fund raising activity is shown to be significant. Management activities that affect business performance of large/small businesses, IT/non-IT companies, high/low R&D firms and the companies participated in various government support policies are different. In other words, it can be found that the support of management activities that can enhance performance should be done in an appropriate way considering the characteristics of the company rather than being provided to all companies in common.

본 연구는 기존 포털형 정보 서비스의 한계를 극복하고자, 이전 연구에서 제안된 연구자의 R&D 프로세스 과정에서의 협업을 지원하는 개방형 협업 지원 서비스 플랫폼을 기반으로 하여, 본 연구에서는 R&D 프로세스 중 '사전 단계'에 대한 설계와 구현을 소개한다. 우리는 R&D 프로세스를 문헌 리뷰와 연구 가설 설정 등을 수행하는 '사전 단계,' 실험과 데이터 분석 등을 수행하는 '실행 단계', 논문 작성 및 출판 등을 수행하는 '성과화 단계'로 구분하고, 이 중 '사전 단계'에 대해 프로젝트 뷰, 그룹 뷰, 문헌 뷰, 관계 뷰를 설계하고 구현하였다. 연구자는 이 플랫폼을 통해 문헌 내용 및 문헌 간 복잡한 연관성을 신속하게 파악할 수 있으며, 플랫폼은 연구자에 의해 자연스럽게 생성되는 사용자 정의 관계를 통해 향후 심층적인 문헌 네트워크 구축 및 분석이 가능해질 것으로 기대한다.

본 연구는 CSDP-초기설계 시스템 개발'3' 세부과제로 수행되었으며 선박의 기본 성능 및 사양을 결정하는데 필요한 제반 기본 계산을 수행하고 설계자의 의사결정을 지원하는 대화식 초기 설계 전산 시스템의 개발에 그 목적이 있으며, 크게 개념설계 분야와 선형 설계분야로 나누어 개발 되어왔다.(Fig. 4.1 참조). 이번 4차년도에는, 프로그램을 보다 효율적으로 사용할 수 잇도록 하기 위하여 개년설계 시스템을 구성하는 단위 모듈들을 단독으로 사용 가능하도록 독립성을 유지 함과 동시에, 시스템 차원의 상위 레벨에서 각각의 모듈들을 통합 제어하는 수퍼어플리케이션 개념을 이용한 유연화된 대화형 개념설계 프로그램(BASCON-3)을 개발하였다. 그리고 선박의 주기관 선정과 관련한 경험적 지식을 도출하여 지식베이스를 구성하고, 주기관 데이터베이스 및 저항.추진성능 추정 모듈들과의 통합을 통한 시험형의 주기관 선정 지원 시스템(ME-ASSIST )을 개발하였다. 또한 그래픽 사용자 인터페이스(GUI)를 채택한 확장형 선형 정의 및 변환 프 로그램(MBASTRANS)을 개발하였다. 형상 모델러인 ACIS를 도입하여, 조선 분야에의 활용 가 능성을 연구하였고, 조선소에 GUI개발 기술과 시스템 통합 기술을 이전하였다.

Recently, accumulation of technology, transfer, absorption, and commercialization is being significantly recognized as a key factor for sustainable growth of the 21st century global economy. The government established "Technology Transfer and Commercialization Promotion Act" In order that the technology developed at public research institutions can be transferred to the private sector and commercialized; the technology developed in the private sector can be traded and commercialized. Also, the Article 14 of "Technology Transfer and Commercialization Promotion Act" is concerning technology transfer agents' registration, promotion, and support: it introduced the special status system of technology transfer agents and the government registers, manages, and supervises it. In most developed countries, the technology transfer agency is transferred to the private sector and it is referred as a technology transfer agent or technology broker. In the domestic market, despite the introduction of the above special status system and the building a various organization and transfer medium system for boosting the market's revitalization, some problems occurred; because the registration system of a technology transfer agent and legal basis and system about its following-up control fall short. For example, recently technology transfer-related performance exemption has brought the activation of technology transfer agent's registration, but there was the limit of selecting the expert above a certain level. Therefore, some countermeasures for this are urgent, In addition, through a compulsory training completion system before the technology trade agent registration is prepared, a short period of curriculum was not sufficient to provide applicants various specialized knowledge. In this research, it is considered about the reform of technology transfer agent through its comparative study in China and Korea. Some improvements are suggested for expanding the market of technology transfer commercialization, assuring the agents' service and strengthening the competitiveness.
