통계적 접근을 통한 COMS 위성의 LAE 추력기 사용연료량 예측에 관한 연구

  • This paper introduces the LAE(Liquid Apogee Engine) and station acquisition fuel budget estimation method for the COMS(Communication, Ocean and Meteorological Satellite) of Korea which is planned to be launched in 2008. And the estimation results are also presented. A statistical approach, more specifically, the Monte-Carlo method was employed to have the estimation include the effect of the launch vehicle GTO injection accuracies. A case study was conducted for several potential launch vehicles to compare the fuel requirements.

  • This paper analyzes the fuel consumption for the momentum dumping of the COMS which has a single solar array system. First, numerical analyses are conducted to find an optimal momentum dumping time considering the COMS configuration. It is assumed that the momentum dumping is conducted once a day and at a fixed time of a day. Secondly, in an effort to reduce the momentum dumping fuel consumption, this paper proposes a new approach which combines the momentum dumping and the ordinary north/south stationkeeping. Finally, to evaluate the proposed technique, the stationkeeping simulations are conducted and analyzed.

  • 본 연구는 가을철 산불조심기간 중 영동지방 활엽수림에 대하여 임분별로 강우 후 익일부터 6일간 임내의 지표연료를 직경별 0.6cm 이하, 0.6~3.0cm, 3.0~6.0cm, 6.0cm 이상에 대한 연료습도 변화를 실측하는 한편, 기상인자를 고려한 통계분석을 실시하여 경과일수별 연료습도추정 예측식을 개발하였다. 결정계수인 $R^2$ 값은 0.75~0.90의 적합성을 나타내었으며, 향후 강우 후 기상자료를 이용하여 임내 연료습도를 예측하여 산불위험예보로 활용하는데 매우 유용한 자료로 이용할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

  • In the COMS satellite mission operation, more large meteorological images such as Full Disk(FD) image or 2 adjacent Extended Northern Hemisphere(ENH) images can be taken by the time shift of East West Station Keeping(EWSK) maneuver when the EWSK conflicts with the large images. In this study an analytical approach based on probability of the conflict is proposed for theoretical analysis about the EWSK time shift to avoid the conflict with FD or 2 ENH images. The EWSK time shift has been applied to the COMS operation as a test, too. The theoretical study result and test operation outcome are synthesized to provide the analysis of impact on the COMS fuel consumption by the EWSK time shift. This study is expected to contribute to the maximization of COMS meteorological mission application.

  • Launch Interface Ring roles as connection department of satellite and launcher for to deliver all structure loads that occur from the satellite, and one of the most intensive load received parts. Especially COMS, the first Korean developing GEO satellite, needs Launch Interface Ring with Tank Support Beam because of dissymmetry fuel tanks. The purpose of this study is the suitable form decision of Launch Interface Ring at preliminary design of COMS. In this study, launch mass and design constraints are investigated. Moreover, optimization algorithm and simplification technique are used. At the beginning of this study, three types of launch interface ring were presented and finally model 3 was the lightest design for resistance of launch environment. Nevertheless, model 1 can be suggested for application to COMS because of the satellite gravity center control and ease of fabrication.

Slope and Forest Fuel Effect on Spreading of Forest Fire (산불 확산에 영향을 미치는 임지내 산림연료와 경사도에 관한 연구)

  • This study investigated the relationship of fuel weight and depth together with slope on the spread of forest fire. Fire spread was faster on the greater slope in forested land. Fire had a greater spread rate with lighter fuel weight. The thickness of the fuel bed and forest fire spread rate were not related. The fire spread rate was closely related to the slope and weight of the fuel bed (significant at 0.01, 0.05, respectively). The thickness of the fuel bed was not significant (0.05).

  • 선박경제운항이란 예보된 기상정보를 활용하여 연료소모량을 최소화하도록 선박을 운항하는 것으로서 최근 다양한 방법론이 연구되고 있다. 성공적인 경제운항시스템을 구현하기 위해서는 기상을 고려하여 지리적 운항경로를 바꾸거나 적절하게 엔진 출력을 조절하는 방법이 필요하다. 그러나 항해 시각에 따라 연료소모량이 변하는 동적 비용 문제임을 고려할 때 지리적 운항 경로의 결정은 최적의 해를 찾기가 어렵다. 이에 이 논문에서는 매우 많은 지리적 후보 경로들 중에서 우수한 품질의 해를 효과적으로 탐색하기 위한 진화전략 기반 경로탐색 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 제안된 방법을 5개 노선에 대해 실험한 결과 최단거리 운항 방법에 비해 운항소요시간은 거의 차이가 없으면서도 연료소모량을 평균 1.41%, 최대 1.45% 개선시킬 수 있었다.

  • This study proposes a predictive model using XGBoost and SHapley Additive exPlanation (SHAP) to estimate fuel consumption in bulk carriers. Previous studies have also utilized ship engine data and weather data. However, they lacked reliability in predicted results and explanations of variables used in the fuel consumption prediction model implementation. To address these limitations, this study developed a predictive model using XGBoost and SHAP. It provides research background, scope, relevant regulations, previous studies, and research methodology. Additionally, it explains the data cleaning method for bulk carriers and verifies results of the predictive model.

  • 본 연구에서는 캐나다 연료 수분지수의 정확도를 보정하여, 산불발생의 예측 효율성을 높이기 위해, 기존 입력 값인 상대습도와 실효습도(Effective humidity)를 이용한 결과를 상호 비교 분석하였다. 캐나다 연료수분지수인 미세연료수분지수, 가뭄지수, 부식층수분지수의 결과를 비교한 결과 이에 따라 실효습도를 사용한 캐나다 기상지수의 민감도가 상대습도를 사용하여 산출된 지수보다 민감도가 떨어지는 것으로 조사되었다. 또한, 산불 발생 예측의 지표인 미세연료 수분 지수의 분석결과, 실효습도를 이용하여 산출된 미세연료 수분지수의 적중률이 떨어지는 것으로 조사되었다. 따라서, 미세연료 수분지수의 적용보다 상대습도의 적용이 효과적인 것으로 분석되었다.
