Speed Sensorless Vector Control of Wound Induction Motor Using a MRAS Method (MRAS 기법을 이용한 권선형 유도전동기의 속도센서리스 벡터제어)

  • The wound induction motor can provide high starting torque and reduced starting current simultaneously by inserting large resistor externally when starting. And this technique is one of the well known methods among the induction motor starting methods and generally used for heavy load starting such as crane and cement factories. The conventional PI controller has been widely used in industrial application due to the simple control algorithm and is generally used for control of current torque, position, and speed for the wound induction motor drive system. However, the conventional control system for wound induction motor may result in poor performance because sensors have to be used but are often limited by the environmental condition. Recently, to overcome these problems, many sensorless vector control methods for the wound induction motor have been studied. This paper presents a MRAS method for sensorless vector control of the wound induction motor drive. In the conventional MRAS method, in low frequency, the stator resistance variation may result in poor performance. Therefore, this paper presents a MRAS method with stator and rotor resistance tuning for sensorless vector control of the wound induction motor to overcome several shortages of the conventional MRAS caused by parameter variation and to enhance the robustness of the sensorless vector control. The validity and effectiveness of the proposed method is verified through digital simulation.

  • The purpose of this study is to evaluate the possibility of identifying joint damping property through commercially available isokinetic ergometer (BIODEX). The proposed method is to estimate the damping torque of the knee joint from the difference between the external joint torque for maintaining isokinetic movement and the gravity torque of the lower leg. The damping torque was estimated at various joint angular velocities, from which the damping property would be derived. Measurement setup was composed of the BIODEX system with an external force sensor and Labview system. Matlab was used in the analysis of the damping property. The experimental result showed that the small variation in angular velocity due to acceleration and deceleration of the crank arm resulted in greater change of inertial torque than the damping torque. Therefore, the estimation of damping property from the isokinetic movement is difficult.

  • The torque of the SRM((Switched Reluctance Motor)) is proportional to the inductance slope, so it has a non-linear torque characteristic, and has a disadvantage in that the torque pulsation is large and noise is severe. In particular, the biggest obstacle to the commercialization of SRM is the pulsating torque generated from the rotating shaft, which has various adverse effects not only on the device itself but also on the peripheral devices. Therefore, various methods for reducing the pulsating torque have been published by domestic and foreign researchers, and there is a study result that the hysteresis controller has an advantage in that it can flow a smooth current compared to the chopping control. However, in determining the hysteresis band, if the band is too small, it has a disadvantage in that it may cause a switching loss due to many switching and an unstable initial start when the encoder is used. Therefore, in this paper, a variable hysteresis controller that can reduce torque ripple in a steady state while having a more stable and fast speed response through the change of the hysteresis band according to the speed error.

  • 궤도상에 올려진 위성들은 인형의 궤도 운행을 하게 된다. 그러나 지구가 완전한 구형이 아니고 태양과 달의 인력이 작용하여 위성에 섭동이 발생하게 된다. 그리고 무중력 상태의 우주이므로 태양풍이나 미세 운석 그리고 위성체 내부의 가스 누출이나 내부의 토크 변화에 의해 위성 자세에 조금의 변동을 야기한다. 통신 위성의 경우 지상의 한 지점을 계속 향하고 있어야 하므로 정기적인 자세제어가 필요하다. 위성의 섭동에 의해 EWSK(East-West station keeping)나 NSSK(North-South station keeping)를 하기 위해 추력 모델은 단일 $\Delta$$\upsilon$기동이나 회전 세차 운동(spin precession maneuver)을 지원해야 한다. 위성은 주어진 임무를 수행하는데 필요한 $\Delta$$\upsilon$기동을 위해 적절한 성능의 추력기와 임무기간 동안 사용할 적절한 양의 추진제를 탑재하고 있다. 지상에서 필요한 임무를 수행하기 위해 위성에 지령을 하였을 때, 추력기가 정상작동을 하였는지 그리고 잔류 추진제가 어느 정도 인지를 정확히 알 수 있어야 한다.

  • The line-start permanent magnet synchronous motor has a high efficiency and an advantage in constant speed operation regardless of the effect of load variation. However it is difficult to predict the performance of characteristics accurately, because of the unbalanced starting torque with the initial starting position of the rotor and the generation of a break torque. In this paper the dynamic characteristics of the line-start permanent magnet synchronous motor are described and compared with those of the squirrel-cage induction motor through the simulation to find the characteristics of the permanent magnets and the rotor bars in the line-start permanent magnet synchronous motor.

  • 본 논문에서는, 기존의 PAM 인버터와는 달리 저 단가 구현 및 높은 성능을 낼 수 PAM 인버터 구조에 대해 고찰한다. 배터리를 전원으로 사용하는 일반적인 인버터의 경우 초기기동 및 저속운전 영역에서는 배터리 전압으로 인해 전류 및 토크 리플이 크며, 배터리 SOC의 최소치 보다 낮은 역기전력을 갖는 전동기만을 사용할 수 있다. 이를 해결하기 위해 2-스위치 Buck-Boost 컨버터와 4-스위치 인버터로 구성된 새로운 PAM 인버터 시스템을 제안한다. 제안된 시스템은 DC 링크 가변을 통해 역기전력이 낮은 저속운전영역에서는 감압하고 반대로 역기전력이 높은 고속운전영역에서는 승압시킬 수 있어 전류 및 토크 리플을 줄일 수 있다. 마지막으로 시뮬레이션을 통하여 제안된 시스템의 적용 가능성을 검증한다.

  • 최근들어 에너지와 가격문제가 대두 되면서 고효율, 저가격의 모터가 절실히 요구되고 있다 이런관점에서 SRM(Switched Reluctanec Motor)는 유도전동기에 비해 기계적으로 견고하고 자기적으로 간단하며 기동 토크가 큰 장점이 있다 가격측면에서 SRM은 BLDC모터에 비해 장점은 있지만 기존 유도기에 비하면 가격의 상승은 피할 수 없는 상황이다. 본 논문은 기존 유도기와 같은 수준의 가격을 제시할 수 있는 인버터 드라이브 방식을 구현하였고 효율은 유도기 대비 월등한 수준을 실현 하였다.

  • 벡터제어는 V/F운전에 비해서 높은 기동 토크와 과부하시 효율적인 전류 제한이 가능한 장점으로 인하여 고성능이 요구되는 부하에 적용이 확대되고 있다. 하지만 출력전압이 V/F운전과 같이 주파수에 따라서 결정되지 않고, 모터파라미터와 D축전류에 의해 결정되므로 정격부하에서 출력전압이 작아지는 경우 출력전류가 정격전류 보다 지나치게 커지는 단점이 있다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해서 기존 약자속 운전에 적용되었던 전압제어기를 사용하여 출력전압을 제어하는 용도로 사용하고자 한다.

  • The control moment gyroscope(CMG) which is well known as an effective high-torque-generating device is applicable to space vehicles, airplanes, ships, automobiles, robotics, etc. for attitude stabilization and maneuver. This paper deals with the overall details of 100Nm-class CMG development for various industrial applications, and provides the activities and results associated with the CMG system-level requirement analysis, the motor subsystem design/manufacturing/integration, the construction of ground support equipment, and the performance test and evaluation. The performance test reveals that the CMG generates the torque output more than 120Nm in as-designed operation of spin motor and gimbal motor.

  • CMG(Control Momentum Gyro) is a control device being used for spacecraft attitude control constructing relatively large amount of torque compared to conventional body-fixed reaction wheels. The CMG produces gyroscopic control torque by continuously varying the angular momentum vector direction with respect to the spacecraft body. The VSCMG(Variable Speed Control Momentum Gyro) has favorable advantages with variable speed to lead to better control authority as well as singularity avoidance capability. Attitude dynamics with a VSCMG mounted on a two-axis gimbal system are derived in this study. The dynamic equation may be considered as an extension of the single-axis counterpart. Also, a feedback control law design is addressed in conjunction with the dynamic equations of motion.
