A Study on Categorizing Subway Station Areas in Seoul by Rail Use Pattern (서울시 역세권의 유형화에 관한 연구 (요일별 시간대별 지하철 이용인구를 중심으로))

  • The purpose of this study is to categorize subway station areas in Seoul by rail use characteristic. Most studies have categorized rail-oriented areas, based on land use patterns or/and urban spatial structure in Korea as well as the United States. However, the land use pattern of a subway station area tends to form by the real use of subway users since the latter plays an important role in forming the former. Therefore, the study is expected to contribute to the planning and policy of subway station areas in Seoul by analyzing characteristics of rail use. To achieve the purpose, the study uses a factor analysis for rail use, in terms of time of the day and day of the week. and then conducted a multidimensional scaling method to identify a relation of the real pattern to land use pattern. The results find that the Seoul subway station areas are categorized into residential, commercial and recreational, and office-centered ones. Furthermore, unlike the results of previous studies, the study identifies that many station areas have the mixed characteristics of economic activities. That is, they form more than a centered function such as residential and commercial, residential and office, commercial and office, residential, commercial and office. In addition, the study identifies that there is a close connection between rail use and land one. In short, identification of these mixed characteristics for subway station areas is expected to contribute to developing the planning and development method of TOD in Korea.

  • Cleft lip and palate is the most frequent congenital facial deformity of the orofacial area. Successful management of patients with cleft lip / palate requires a multidiciplinary approach from birth to adult stage. Coordinated treatment by the cleft palate team is an essential requirement to obtain optimum treatment results. One of the negative effect of the early surgical interventions of lip and palate is a significant incidence of maxillary growth restriction that produces secondary deformities of the jaws and malocclusion that includes congenital missing of lateral incisor, malformed teeth, rotation or ectopic position of upper anterior teeth, and it has been thought due to the resistance of palatal scar tissue. In Orthodontic treatment for cleft lip / palate patients, expansion of upper dental arch or palatal suture is often needed to correct posterior and/or anterior cross bite and align upper teeth. Various appliances such as hyrax, quad-helix, fan-type expansion screw and jointed-fan type expander can be used for palatal expansion. In the orthodontic treatment of the cleft lip / palate patient, we must consider patient age and severity of palatal constriction for proper appliance selection, and must pay special attention to maintain the treatment results.

Effect of ${\beta}-Carotene$ Supplementation on Lipid Metabolism and Related Enzyme Activities in Rats (${\beta}-Carotene$ 공급이 흰쥐 간 조직의 지질대사와 관련효소의 활성에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was designed to investigate the effect of dietary ${\beta}-carotene$ level on the lipid metabolism and lipid peroxide metabolizing enzyme activities in rats. Male Sprague -Dawley rats were fed on diets containing five levels of ${\beta}-carotene$ (0, 10, 120, 1200, 12000mg/kg diet ; BC 0, BC 1, BC 2, BC 3, BC 4 group). The rats were sacrificed after 7 weeks of the feeding periods. Lipid peroxide value of mitochondrial fraction of rat liver was elevated in ${\beta}-carotene$ restriction group when compared to $\beta$ -carotene groups. Superxide dismutase activity increased significantly by ${\beta}-carotene$ supplementation. Both catalase and glutathione peroxidase activities were reduced with increasing ${\beta}-carotene$ supplementation, except only ${\beta}-carotene$ restriction group. In liver, the contents of total lipid and cholestero decreased by ${\beta}-carotene$ supplementation but triglyceride content was not different among treatment groups. HDL-and total cholesterol ratio in plasma of 12, 000 ${\beta}-carotene$ group decreased, and was similar to that of ${\beta}-carotene$ restriction group.

Optimization for Functional Properties of Cabbage Extracts (썸머파워 양배추 추출물의 기능적 특성 최적화)

  • This study was conducted to optimize the extraction conditions from cabbage by a response surface methodology. In extraction conditions based on the central composite design with variations, the ratio of solvent to sample ($10\~30$mL/g), ethanol concentration ($0\~100\%$) and extraction temperature ($35\~95^{circ}C$) coefficients of determinations ($R^2$) were 0.8162(p<0.1), 0.8173(p<0.1), 0.9374(p<0.01) and 0.9116(p<0.05) in extraction yield, electron donating ability, tyrosinase inhibition and SOD-like ability, respectively. Estimated extraction conditions for the maximizing yield, electron donating ability and SOD-like ability were $15\~30$ mL/g in ratio of solvent to sample, $40\~80\%$; ethanol concentration, and $50\~90^{\circ}C$ ; extraction temperature. Predicted values at the optimum condition (25 mL/g solvent to sample, $50\%$ ethanol concentration and $70^{\circ}C$ in extraction temperature) were in good agreement with observed values.

  • This study aims to identify changes that have occurred in the regional structure and locational characteristics of the Najin-Seonbong Economic and Trade Zone established in North Korea in 1991. In order to analyze land use patterns as variables of change in the regional structure, an field trip data, satellite imagery and other materials about the region are examined. In terms of its location as a major regional transit hub, the Najin-seonbong Economic and Trade Zone has not been supported by the required infrastructural developments and the establishment of the export processing zones has exposed the lack of vital links with local networks and industry. Thus, despite the fact that the local government has made a lot of effort in attracting foreign investment over the past decade, little progress has been made and the region has not changed. By and large, its operational efficiency and potential for development as a major export processing zone has been relatively limited. In the long w, prospects for the region's emergence as a major economic player will depend on the North Korean Govemment's policy in tackling the various infrastructural deficiencies.

  • Prosthetic treatment using implants in fully edentulous patients includes implant-supported fixed prosthesis, implant hybrid prosthesis, implant retained- or supported-over-denture and implant supported fixed prosthesis has advantages such as psychological stability, pronunciation. If an implant supported fixed prosthesis is planned, the implants should be placed in consideration of pronunciation, esthetics, and oral hygiene. For this, clinical and radiological diagnosis is indispensable. When placing the prosthetic driven implant at the site determined from the diagnosis, a sufficient amount of alveolar bone and soft tissue support are required. If these requirements found to be insufficient, a wide range of bone grafting should be performed in advance. In this case, a fully edentulous patient with severe alveolar bone resorption due to periodontal disease was treated with a full mouth rehabilitation using implant-supported fixed prosthesis preceding maxillary sinus graft and alveolar bone augmentation. We report this patient were satisfied with esthetic and function.

  • Our nation have several procedures and law for national airspace management, however those procedures and law not enough to manage airspace. Therefore, I have studied this paper for improving flight safety and for providing economics flight of civcil aircraft and military aircraft, also, for increasing efficiency of airspace through systematic airspace management, additionally, for improving nation defense ability and for preventation our nation damage when occuring airspace problem. Nowaday. in using airspace. two theory which freely use theory and use theory under jurisdiction is opposed by every nation in worldwide. Consequently. we can realize every nation endeavour to increase their jurisdiction airspace. However. our nation is not still prepared to cope with other nation when occuring airspace trouble. because airspace definition is not prescribed on our aviation law. Therefore. several problems which are improved in our airspace management are presented on this paper. The presented matters are as follows. First, The airspace definition is not prescribed on aviation law and responsibility limit of airspace management is ambugious. Second. problem on structure of approach control area and special airspace, Third. problem on airway system. Fourth. civil agency and military agency apply respectively different regulation in establishment of aircraft flight route, To grasp these problems, considered the airspace conception, airspace classfication. legal character of airspace. our nation airspace state and management together with other nation airspace state and management. also compared our nation airspace management with other nation airspace management. And. improvement methods to solve problems which was appeared by comparing and analysis are presented on this paper.

  • 인력은 한 사회에 있어서 자본을 축적하며 자연자원을 개발하고 사회 경제 정치적 조직을 성장시키는 변화요인으로, 인간을 중심으로 하는 사회경제적 자원을 종합적으로 지칭하는 말이다. 이렇게 국가 사회가 필요로 하는 인력을 정부가 적절히 계획하여, 형성시키며, 배분 및 활용하는 문제를 논리적이고 일관성 있게 다루는 것을 인력정책이라 한다. 이러한 거시적이고 대 사회적인 정부의 인력정책은 국민의 건강과 생명을 보호하기 위한 보건의료 서비스를 제공해야 하는 의료인력을 대상으로 하는 경우 그 중요성이 더욱 특별하다 할 것이다. 국민에 대한 보건의료 서비스는 훈련된 보건 인력에 의해서 제공되며, 국가의 인력정책의 결과로 나타나는 보건의료인력 공급의 적합성은 인력의 불균형이라는 개념들을 통해서 검토될 수 있다. 의료인력의 불균형이라 함은 의료인력의 수, 종류, 기능, 분포, 질 등과 의료서비스에 대한 국민의 전체적 요구에 대응하여 정부가 생산하여 채용, 지원, 유시할 수 있는 정부 능력의 한계를 의미한다. 다시 말해서 국민에 대한 의료서비스의 적정화는 잘 훈련된(well qualified) 의료인력이 충분히 공급되어야(adequately supplied) 하고, 또한 적절히 분포되어야(well distributed) 한다는 양적, 질적, 그리고 분포의 세 가지 측면에서 살펴볼 수 있다. 질적, 양적, 그리고 분포의 불균형이라는 범주를 통하여 살펴본 치과기공사 분야의 인력정책에 대한 연구 결과와 개선방안은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 수적 불균형의 면에서 치과기공사의 인력은 1970년대 중반이래 계속 과잉 공급되어 왔으며, 이에 대해 정부는 그동안 소극적으로 대처하므로 과잉공급을 가속시켜왔다. 따라서 이러한 과잉공급을 최소하기 위해서는 치과이용에 대한 수요의 확장, 무면허자의 취업규제단속 및 대학의 치과기공학과 정원 축소 등을 생각해 볼 수 있다. 이러한 외형상의 과잉공급에도 불구하고 현업에 종사하는 실제인력은 수용에 비해 부족한 과소 공급현상을 빚고 있다는 점이 문제이다. 이러한 역설적인 현상을 타파하기 위하여 무면허자의 적발을 위시한 제도적 장치가 마련되어야 한다. 둘째, 질적 불균형은 수적 과잉공급에 의한 취업률 저하로 인한 실력 있는 전문인력 확보의 어려움과 전문 교육인력 및 교육시설의 열악한 조건이 원인으로 지적될 수 있으며, 이에 대한 해결방안으로 적절한 인력수요의 조절과 교육인력 및 시설 여건의 향상이 요망된다. 예컨대 3년제로 되어있는 학제를 4년제로 상향조정하는 방안을 고려할 수 있다. 세째, 치과기공사 분야의 인력분포 불균형은 그다지 심각하지는 않은 것으로 나타난다. 그러나 변화하는 소득수준과 사회환경은 의료인력과 균등한 지역적 분포에 대해 지속적인 관심을 가질것을 요청한다고 할 것이다. 이를 위하여 현재의 공중보건의 제도처럼 치기공 분야의 인력을 무의촌지역에 배치하여 공익요원으로 봉사케 하는 제도를 생각해 볼 수 있다.

  • The Objective of this research was to construct the multimedia database system that was necessary for the education of the practitioners and the students. To establish this system, there were technical problems as follows 1) The processing of the images, 2) The rapid processing of the information with the computer network, 3) The development of diagnosis tools, 4) The technique to establish the database system, 5) The link between the database system and the internet, and 6) The method to educate through many cases. The analysis for diagnosis and treatment planning were provided as two parts : model analysis and cephalometric analysis. As a model analysis, arch length discrepancy and Bolton tooth ratio were provided for the part of patient information. Cephalometric analyses were provided in the part of initial diagnosis. The Cephalometric analysis ver 2.0 and the PowerCeph pro 3.3.5 were used to show Tweed, Steiner and Jarabak analysis. In the main part, Kim's analysis and some measurements were added.   • In public project market, design-build projects have been increased because of market trend change which enables technical competition. In this condition, its importance is also getting important. Generally, life cycle of design-build project consists of planning, preliminary design, procurement, contract, detail design, start of construction, construction, end of construction, and evaluation. From contractor's viewpoint, it has problems such as difficulties in project management and information sharing because of frequent change of charged division. To solve these problems, it is desirable to change from function-based management system to process-based management system. The purpose of this study is to develop management process model for design-build project by progress phases. This study analyzed main conflicts and decision making factors of each stage in design-build projects, then systemized management subjects' responsibilities and management points' change. And also this study defined the key information that is the key point by project characteristics and progress phases. Based on this analysis, this study did business process modeling from planning stage to construction design check stage. At last, we proposed the way to manage business process by design-build project progress.
