Properties of Belite with Cooling Rate (냉각속도의 변화에 따른 벨라이트의 특성)

  • Active belite cement clinker 합성을 위하여 안정제로 borax (3 wt%)를 사용하였으며, 1300, 1350, 140$0^{\circ}C$에서 소성하고, 각각의 소성온도에서 아세톤 급냉, 공냉, 로냉의 3가지 방법으로 냉각속도를 달리하여 합성하였다. 클링커의 특성분석은 TG-DTA, XRD, FT-IR, SEM-EDS로 조사 분석하였으며, free-CaO 함량은 KSL 5120의 ethylene glycol법으로 정량하였다. Borax(3 wt%)를 첨가한 시료의 시차열분석에서 ${\gamma}$상으로의 전이는 관찰되지 않았으며, 각각의 소성온도와 냉각속도에 따른 free-CaO 분석에서 0.07~0.14%의 범위로 낮게 나타났으며, borax가 첨가되지 않은 시료는 140$0^{\circ}C$에서 소성하고 급냉시켰지만 ${\gamma}$상으로 전이되어 dusting 현상을 나타내었다. Borax(3 wt%) 첨가된 시료의 SEM 미세구조는 140$0^{\circ}C$에서 소성하고 급냉시켰지만 ${\gamma}$상으로 전이되어 dusting 현상을 나타내었다. Borax(3 wt%) 첨가된 시료의 SEM 미세구조는 140$0^{\circ}C$에서 소성된 모든 시료와 135$0^{\circ}C$에서 소성하고 급냉과 공냉시킨 시료는 type I belite, type III belite($\alpha$상) 구조를 나타낸다. 135$0^{\circ}C$에서 소성하고 로냉한 시료와 130$0^{\circ}C$에서 소성된 모든 시료는 type II belite($\beta$상) 구조를 나타내었다.

Analysis and Measurement of Residual Stress of Al 7175 Ring Rolls after Quenching and stress Relieving (고강도 알루미늄 7175 합금 링롤재의 급냉 및 응력제거처리후 잔류응력 유한요소해석 및 측정)

  • To predict the effect of ring expansion and ring compression on residual stress relief of Al 7175 ring rot]s, 2-D axisymmetric thermal analysis and elastoplastic analysis were performed. The residual stress distributions along the thickness of T73, T7351 and T7352 treated rings were measured using three step sectioning method. The measured results were compared to numerical ones for quenched and stress relieved rings. After quenching, calculated hoop and axial residual stresses were similar to measured ones for T73 treated rings. The residual stresses of T7351 and T7352 treated rings were decreased remarkably compared to T73 treated rings. The effect of axial residual stress relief was superior to that of hoop one, and also ring compression to ring expansion. It was concluded that ring compression is advantageous over ring expansion in view of stress relief effect and practicality, and vice versa in view of dimensional control and press power.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the optimum replacement rate and material properties of eco-friendly recycled concrete using recycled coarse aggregates and rapid-chilled steel slag fine aggregates. The replacement rate of recycled coarse aggregates was increased from 30% to 50% of total volume of coarse aggregates and the rapid-chilled steel slag aggregates were substituted for 10% to 50% of total volume of fine aggregates. As a result, the increment of recycled coarse aggregates in concrete caused the reduction of the compressive strength. On the other hand, as increasing the replacement ratio of rapid chilled steel slag aggregates, the compressive strength was enhanced. Furthermore, the optimum use of rapid chilled steel slag aggregates was suggested up to 20~30% of fine aggregates and the use of it could be helpful to expand the replacement rate of recycled aggregates.

  • For the recycling of rapid-cooled steel slag, various specimens were prepared with the various replacement ratios of the rapid-cooled steel slag and the addition ratios of polymer binders. The physical properties of these specimens were then investigated by absorption test, compressive strength test, flexural strength test and hot water resistance test, and the pore and the micro-structure analysis was performed using scanning electron microscope. Results showed that the flexural strength increased with the increase of rapid-cooled steel slag and polymer binder, but the compressive strength showed a maximum strength at a certain proportion. By the hot water resistance test, compressive strength and flexural strength decreased remarkably and the total pore volume increased but the pore diameter decreased. SEM observation of the structure before the hot water resistance test revealed a very compact infusion of structure but the decomposition or thermal degradation appeared in polymer binders when observed after the hot water resistance test.

알루미늄 링롤재의 급냉시 잔류응력 유한요소해석

  • 고강도 알루미늄 대형 링롤재를 급냉할 때 발생하는 잔류응력을 2차원 및 3차원 유한 요소 해석하였고, 3단계 절단법에 의해 측정된 변형율과 ABAQUS의 요소제거 기능을 이용한 해석 값을 직접 비교하였다. 급냉후 잔류응력 해석결과는 2단과시효 후 측정값과 비슷한 경향을 보였으나 그 절대값의 차이가 크게 나타났다 이는 시편 링의 높이가 작아 실험 값이 부정확하였기 때문이며 링의 높이를 증가시켜 높이방향으로 균일한 응력분포를 갖도록 하면 그 차이가 감소될 것으로 판단된다. 잔류응력을 측정하는 3단계 절단 과정을 모사한 3차원 해석결과와 측정된 변형율을 직접 비교함으로써 실험과 해석의 정확성을 향상시킬 수 있도록 하였다. 이로부터 잔류응력이 존재하는 일반적인 알루미늄 구조물의 기계가공에 의한 변형을 정확히 예측할 수 있는 기반을 마련하였으며 구조해석 시 잔류응력의 영향을 고려할 수 있게 되었다.

  • Mesoporous polystyrene (PS) and polyethersulfone (PES) membranes have been fabricated by reverse-thermally induced phase separation (RTIPS) process, using flash freezing. The mesoporous pores can be created by the nano-scaled phase separation induced by the formation and growth of solvent crystals in the dope solution in RTIPS process. RTIPS process has been characterized through analysis on the enthalpy change in the solvent of the dope solution, the morphology of the membrane fabricated with different polymer content, and the pore size distribution and its standard deviation of pore size of the membrane with polymer content via DSC, SEM, and BET, respectively. It is found that the kinetic aspect of the dope solution, i.e., the crystallization of solvent is a crucial factor to determine the structure of membrane fabricated in RTIPS rather than the thermodynamic aspect of the dope solution.

  • Electrical transport and thermally induced metastability in hydrogenated amorphous silicon (a-Si:H) thin film transistors (TFTs) using boron-doped amorphous silicon as an active layer have been studied. The device characteristics n-channel and p-channel operations. The thermal quenching experiments on amorphous silicon-silicon nitride ambipolar TFT give clear evidence for the co-existence of two distinct metastable changes. The densities of metastable active dopants and dangling bonds increase with the quenching temperature. On the other hand, the interface state density appears to decrease with increasing quenching temperature.

  • Recrystallization behaviors of cold-worked and $\beta$-quenched Zr-Zn alloys were investigated by the microhardness tests and microscopic examinations. The recrystallization of the $\beta$-quenched alloys was retarded in comparison with that of the cold-worked alloys, suggesting that the stored energy of the cold-worked alloys is larger than that of the $\beta$-quenched alloys. Although initial hardness for the cold-worked and the $\beta$-quenched specimens had an equal value, the recrystallization behaviors were observed to be quite different. Based on the transmission electron microscope(TEM) studies, it was suggested that the recrystallization of the cold-worked specimen would have occurred by subgrain coalescence while that of $\beta$-quenched specimen by strain-induced grain boundary migration.

  • It is necessary to maximize the durability of Concrete for the underground structure because its maintenance and reinforcement are difficult. For cracks due to drying shrinkage of the concrete on the characteristics of the material, there is a need for an alternative in the deterioration phenomenon that occurs. In this study, fundamental properties including drying shrinkage of mortar and concrete were investigated to replace fine aggregate from cooling slag for reducing drying shrinkage of mortar and concrete. In the case of rapid cooling slag fine aggregate, it was effective to reduce and restrain initial shrinkage of mortar and concrete, and compressive strength was increased through the all specimen in proportion to its replacement ratio.
