일본은 국내기업들이 벤치마킹을 지속적으로 많이 할 정도로 물류산업이 크게 발전된 나라이다. 일본에는 많은 물류관련 단체가 있지만, 그 중에서도 (사)일본로지스틱스 시스템 협회(JILS)는 독보적인 위치에 있으며, 일본 물류발전을 위해 지난 10여 년 동안 크게 기여해 왔다. 이 협회를 이끌어 왔던 모토키 이나스카 전무이사는 오는 6월 18일 정년퇴임을 앞두고 있다. 그는 (사)한국물류협회가 설립될 당시에 우리에게 많은 정보를 제공함은 물론 협회 운영에 대한 조언도 아끼지 않았던 인물로 한국물류발전에도 많은 공헌을 하였다. (사)한국물류협회가 창립 20주년을 맞이하여 준비한 기획인터뷰의 네 번째로 (사)일본로지스틱스시스템협회 모토키 이나스카 전무이사를 만나보았다.

본 연구는 e-logistics의 전망과 제공하는 기회 분석, e-logistics 활성화를 위한 핵심성공요인 및 물류산업에 대한 요구사항 도출, e-logistics 전략 대안 분석, 정보기술과 물류의 결합 대안제시, 글로벌 e-logistics 네트웍 모델 제시 등을 목적으로 수행되었다. 위와 같은 연구목적을 달성하기 위해 e-logistics와 전통적인 물류와의 비교분석과 기업들과 현행 시스템에 대한 사례분석 결과가 활용되었다.

Recently, the role of container ports is radically changing, These changes are largely driven by the innovation process of Logistics such as Supply Chain Logistics and Global Logistics due to the international expansional of industry. Under this environment, It is required that the container port should act as a integral part of a Supply Logistics Chain especially to provide the customer-oriented logistics service. This paper deals with the development strategy of container ports coping with these changes in the view point of container ports as a Logistics infrastructure to provide customer-response services and necessary to the economic promotion of hinterlands. Strategy is suggested in the phases of the customers desire, the pattern of container cargo, the economic promotion of hinterlands, and interrelation of container ports in north-east Asia and also domestics through the analysis of competiveness of container ports.

Recently leading edge companies use the Supply Chain Management as a competitive weapon to secure and maintain customer loyalty. As a consequency they are concentrating resources on the company’s core business and employing strategic alliances with third-party providers to ensure the company provides its customers’desired logistics service levels at acceptable costs. Under this circumstances this paper surveys the third party logistics as a leading edge logistics industry coping with the progress of the supply chain management. The status and the type of the TPL including the Forwarder are analyzed in the view point of global logistics. Also the development strategy of third party logistics in the future is suggested.

This research attempts to identify growth potential of e-logistics market and opportunities provided by its growth; analyze requirements and critical success factors for logistics industries to make most of such opportunities; and analyze various strategic alternatives for e-logistics industries. Subsequently this paper looks at strategies that may enable logistics companies to grow into competitive e-logistics and e-fulfillment companies. This would involve the close interface between advances in IT and logistics activities and formation of global strategic alliances.

(사)한국물류협회(회장 서병륜)와 인천광역시, 인천광역시 물류연구회, 한국로지스틱스학회, 매일경제신문사가 공동으로 주최하고 로지스올 그룹, 물류신문사가 후원한 제15차 물류정책토론회가 지난 3월 23일 인천종합 문화예술회관 대회의실에서 200여명이 참여한 가운데 개최됐다. 서병륜(사)한국물류협회 회장은 개회사를 통해 "최근에들어 물류강국화 정책의 수립과 입안시 특히 중시되어야 할 것은 비약적 성장세를 보이고 있는 중국의 경제환경 변화로 오늘 토론회를 통하여 정책적 합리화를 모색할 수 있는 좋은 계기가 되기를 바란다"고 말했다. 이번 토론회에서는 전만술 한국물류연구원 원장, 전일수 인천물류연구회 회장의 사회로 '중국의 경제환경 변화와 우리나라 물류정책의 효율화방향 모색'이라는 주제하에 제1테마'북중국권 경제환경 변화와 서해안 물류정책의 효율화방향 모색', 제2테마 '중국의 글로벌 물류거점화와 효율적 대응방안 모색'으로 나뉘어 재능대학교 박창호 교수와 중국 시노로그 컨설팅 박노언 대표가 각각 주제 발표했다. 오늘 토론회의 지정토론자로는 김학소 박사(한국해양수산개발원 항만연구본부장), 허문구 박사(한국무역협회 국제물류지원단 컨설팅팀장), 이호영 대표(함부르그항만청 주한대표부), 예충열 박사(한국교통연구원 동북아 물류경제연구실장)등이 참석했다.

경제의 글로벌화로 항만과 해운산업은 경쟁이 가장 치열한 대표적인 산업분야로 자리매김하고 있다. 이에 따라 과거 항만간, 선사간 경쟁에서 최근들어서는 이들이 속한 전체 logistics chain 간의 경쟁으로 확대되고 있다. 이같은 항만과 해운의 경쟁구조 변화로 logistics chain 참여자들(터미널운영사, 정기선사 등)의 성공은 자신만의 경쟁력에 좌우되지 않고 오히려 이들이 속한 전체 logistics chain의 경쟁력에 달려 있다. 특히 logistics chain 참여자들은 새로운 경쟁환경에 대응하여 경쟁력을 제고하고자 상호 수평적 또는 수직적 협력관계를 강화하고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 항만의 경쟁구조 변화를 검토한 후 우리 항만의 대응방안을 제시하고자 한다.
