A discussion for concept establishment of 'the unity of rhythm and writing' in the formative period of Korean modern poem: Focusing on the Kim Eok's poetics (근대시 형성기의 율문일치(律文一致) 개념정립을 위한 시론(試論) - 김억의 시론(詩論)를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to establish the direction and direction of the establishment of a free verse as the concept of the unit of rhythm and writing(律文一致) in the process of forming a modern free verse and to argue about it. In general, it was free verse under the influence of symbolism that our poetry was chosen from the threshold of modern times as a new poetic form of modern times. However, in the reality of Joseon, language has not yet been organized. Although the language of poetry has a distinction from the customs of ordinary languages, the analysis and understanding of poetry has been forced to presuppose an understanding of the language text. For the same reason, literary officials who sought the modern era of Joseon had to think about the rhythm of being referred to as the phonetic level. For this reason, in the phase of seeking a new prototype through the acceptance of modern early Western literature, the question of the universal nature of poetry was mainly directed through the theoretical question of "what is poetry?" But as the perception of the Korean language expanded, it focused on the agony of the Joseon Dynasty amid the special context of 'What is Joseon Dynasty?' In particular, Kim Eok's theory of poetry is an example of whether to understand the rhythm, which correspond to the phonetic stratum of language, at the formal level. This is the process of eventually passing on the fundamental question of "What is poetry?" to the special question of "What is Joseon poetry?" and could result in the question of how to match Joseon's writing and phonetic structure. 「格調詩形論小考」 is an example of this concern.

  • The purpose of this study is, first, to establish a theory about the conflict between sustainable tourism development and the restoration process of modern cultural heritage. Second, a research model is established through literature research, and the difference in perception between the local government (Incheon Jung-gu Office) and the local residents is analyzed. Third, based on the results of the analysis, we will present a conflict management strategy for sustainable tourism development in the modern hotel restoration project. If a conflict management strategy is presented based on the analysis results, first, a procedure to confirm whether the goal of development for sustainable tourism development and local residents is the same before the modern cultural heritage restoration project is necessary. Second, it is necessary to coordinate opinions on priority items among sustainable tourism development indicators during the modern cultural heritage restoration project. Third, in the modern cultural heritage restoration project, priority should be given to the change of awareness of the development subject rather than the change of awareness of the local residents. Fourth, in the modern cultural heritage restoration project, the development entity should attempt continuous dialogue and compromise in an effort to find an alternative that satisfies local residents. Fifth, in the modern cultural heritage restoration project, it would be effective to pay special attention to and focus on the part of 'adjustment of opinions' where the difference of opinion between the developer and the local residents is the largest.

  • Korean society is a mixed risk society in terms of risk and distrust. This is because the risks and disasters of the farming and industrial societies, the modern and the information society, exist simultaneously in the present time. Ulrich Beck's point that the endless development of science and technology to acquire economic wealth is simultaneously entering a risk society is providing us with many implications. In this paper, we reviewed the Ulrich Beck's "reflexive modernization" theory in the late 20th century, pointing to the rise of a risk society as a result of the evolution of new modernization. This is because the "reflexive modernization" can be a direction in which we can reflect our wrong past from a human-centered perspective and design a desirable future. In this sense, it is important to present ways to overcome the dangerous society through the reinterpretation of Ulrich Beck, who advocated the modernization of reflectively. In order to overcome the future risks that the fourth industrial revolution will bring, we must provide direction for the government's security policies and public security consciousness.

  • This paper is to conceptualize the urban social circulation of water from the social constructivism and political ecology, and to analyze the history of development of social circulation of water, that is, the modernization process of water in Daegu. The development of social circulation system of water in Daegu can be divided into 4 stages, that is, the beginning stage of modernization of water mainly during the period of Japanese colonization, the take-off stage from the 1960s to the mid-1980s, the stage of reflexive modernization from the late 1980s to the 1990s, and that of neoliberalization of water since the 2000s. It can be seen that the development of social circulation system of water in Daegu has contributed the increasing urban population and economic development, especially supporting the spatial expansion of the city and the way of modern way of urban life. But the social circulation system of water in Daegu seems to meet with a lot of problems such as relocation of the water intake station, over-equipment of filtration plants, distrust on tap water, inequality of water use, readjustment of water charge, liquid waste from industrial complexes within the urban area, creative destruction of waterfront environment, and privatization of water.

  • This paper attempts to analyze how Paris was transformed by Haussman through comparing flaneurs in works by Balzac and Baudelaire. In both writers' works, flâneurs as the emblems of modernity observe Paris, especially architecture. Although representative of modernity, they are ambivalently obsessed with the heritage of the past. Balzac's The Wrong Side of Paris, Godefroid as a male bourgeois, is a flaneur observing antiquated architectures, the heritage of past. In Baudelaire's "The Swan for Victor Hugo" the flaneur passing through the modern Caroussel feels the Old Paris is gone. In "Parisian Dream," illusionary Paris exhibits metopolitan imagery wrought by capitalism led by Napoleon the third. The difference between the two writers demonstrate how Paris was changed by modernity.

  • This study is to examine how Sijo is being accommodated to modern Gagok by comparing them. In details, the work is about comparison between three verses in Sijo and twofold grouping in modern Gogok, JoongYuUm in traditional Gagok, YuBak in Sijo, the interlude, ADanSungJang, and changing verses in modern Gagok. First point is about three verses in Sijo and a rhythm of twofold grouping in modern Gagok. In particular, modern Gagok is treated as a group of twofold leaving three verses of Sijo. The way is chosen that whether it sets on an interlude into a song or the third part of three verses in Sijo is extended to avoid its logic of music and poem. Second, the discussion moves points on between an interlude in traditional Gagok and in Sijo. In the process of grouping twofold in modern Gagok, the parts which are interludes of both in traditional Gagok and in Sijo, combined with the interlude of the modern Gagok. It shows that the modern Gagok is affected on both the traditional Gagok and the Sijo. In addition, it explains elements of ADanSungJang - - tones and sounds in the modern Gagok. Originally, the traditional Gagok and sijo are composed of tones and sounds. At this point, tones are short, whereas sounds should be longer. This kind of way in the song has appeared on the modern Gagok of Hong, Nan-Pa. Lastly, the factors is about changing verses of modern Gagok. The one of differences between the modern Sijo and traditional Sijo is verses. For example, when it comes to sijo by Lee, Eun-Sang, he used to create his sijo with three verses. Hence, he did not change verses on his works. Whereas, the modern song "The Spring Lady" by Hong, Nan-Pa has shown the phenomenon that is separating three verses into six verses. It is noticeable that this phenomenon in "The Spring Lady" has the same bases with the modern Sijo.

  • This study deals with the characteristics of view landscape in modern Daegu city which were analysed employing geographic information system(GIS). The view landscape analysis was performed by using GIS that enables to overlap land use map with the map of range of visibility, and the 3-D simulation. The results are as follows; First of all, the ratio of forest is enormously high in the range of visibility. The distribution of landscape components allows the dwellers to obtain a clear view towards forests from anywhere. The landscape components include west eroded lowlands, east open rolling lands, east eroded lowlands, and high mountain areas: Apsan(Mt.) in the south; Waryoungsan(Mt.) in the west; and Hamjisan(Mt.) and Hakbong(Mt.) in the north. On the tops of those, people are able to secure a clear vision from the viewpoint towards the surrounding mountains because of the rural areas continuing from the viewpoint to the mountains. A continuous view landscape has been formed by these natural environmental factors. Finally, there are multiple view targets with relatively high altitude that are covered with forests in the space between the urban area and the outer mountains that are higher than the view targets, which provides a scenery of mountains overlapped by higher mountains.
