Design of Avatar Rehabilitation Content Service with Limited Range of Motion (관절 가동 범위의 제한 정보를 반영한 아바타 기반 재활 운동 콘텐츠 서비스 설계)

  • 근골격계 질환 환자들은 정상인들에 비해 질환 부위의 관절 가동 범위(ROM, Range of Motion)가 제한되는 경향이 있다. 이러한 근골격계 질환 환자들의 관절 가동 범위 제한을 고려하지 않은 재활 운동 콘텐츠 서비스는 오히려 환자의 건강 상태를 악화시킬 수도 있으므로 주의해야 하는 서비스 요인이다. 본 논문에서는 근골격계 질환 환자의 제한적인 관절 가동 범위를 고려한 아바타 기반의 재활 운동 콘텐츠 서비스 기술을 제안한다. 이에 재활 운동의 모션 캡처 데이터로부터 아바타 재활 운동 콘텐츠로의 변환 기술과 근골격계 질환 환자의 관절 가동 범위 제한 정보를 적용한 아바타 기반 재활 운동 콘텐츠 재현 기술을 설계한다. 일련의 기술적 구성 요소를 고찰하고 설계함으로써 근골격계 질환 환자들의 서로 다른 관절 가동 범위를 반영한 맞춤형 재활 운동 콘텐츠 서비스가 안전하고 효과적인 재활을 지원할 수 있도록 한다.

  • 근골격계 질환 재활환자들의 신체 능력을 평가하기 위한 주요 측정 도구로 관절 가동 범위(ROM: Range of Motion)가 사용된다. 본 논문에서는 근골격계 환자들의 재활운동을 통한 관절 가동 범위 정보를 시각적 이해하기 용이하도록 서비스하기 위하여 3차원 아바타를 이용한 관절 가동 범위 시각화 시스템을 제안한다. 제안하는 3차원 아바타를 이용한 관절 가동 범위 시각화 시스템은 근골격계 질환 재활환자들의 관절 가동 범위 데이터를 3차원 아바타의 대응하는 관절 작동 범위로 사상하고 다양한 시점으로 시각화하거나 애니메이션으로 재현함으로써 재활 수준의 변화를 직관적으로 제공할 수 있다.

The relations between the Musculoskeletal Symptoms and Job Stress of Occupational Therapists at Rehabilitation Hospitals (재활병원 작업치료사의 근골격계 증상과 직무스트레스와의 관련성)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify correlations between the musculoskeletal symptoms and job stress of occupational therapists at rehabilitation hospitals. To this end, the study conducted a survey on 210 occupational therapists at rehabilitation hospitals located in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do between June 1 and July 30, 2014. The average age of the subjects who participated in this study was $25.4{\pm}3.4$ years old, and their average work period was $2.3{\pm}2.1$ years. The subjects included 151 women (71.9%) and 171 permanent workers (81.4%). Among the subjects, 114 individuals (54.3%) had experienced a musculoskeletal symptom, and their major affected areas included hands/fingers (21%) and legs (18.6%). The percentage of high risk group of job stress was higher in musculoskeletal symptom group. And the proportion of high risk for job stress was higher in females. In particular, males showed significant differences in 'job demands', 'inappropriate reward', 'occupational climate' and females showed significant differences in 'Interpersonal conflict', 'inappropriate reward'(p<0.05).

Effects of Dental Hygienist's Musculoskeletal Pain Resolution and Self-Efficacy on Musculoskeletal Disorders (치과위생사의 근골격계 통증 해결 방법과 자기효능감이 근골격계 질환에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was conducted to examine musculoskeletal disorder and analyze the effects of musculoskeletal pain control and self-efficacy on musculoskeletal disorders in dental hygienists. Material and Methods; 483 dental hygienists residing in Gwangju were collected by the convenience sampling method and the self-administered questionnaire survey was conducted. Frequency analysis, crosstab analysis, t-test, and multiple logistic regression analysis were used for analysis. Results: the prevalence of musculoskeletal pain among subjects was 83.9% for the prior year, with 29.8% of patients being afflicted by musculoskeletal disorders. The factors influencing musculoskeletal disorders were musculoskeletal pain resolution. For pain resolution, the odds ratio of musculoskeletal disorders of the group who answered treatment in a hospital, an Oriental medicine clinic, or a pharmacy was 0.22 (95% confidence interval, 0.14-0.34) compared with the group who answered sick leave or task change, suggesting a negative relationship. These findings indicate that people with musculoskeletal disorders were not treated in the hospital, Oriental medicine clinic, or pharmacy. Therefore, it is necessary to improve medical management (oriental medicine, intravenous injection or medication, heat therapy or cryotherapy, steroid treatment, counseling, endovascular treatment using spinal cord stimulation, physical therapy, stretching, rehabilitation, and manual therapy) and job environment and to make a good approach to the prevention of musculoskeletal disorders to control dental hygienists' musculoskeletal pain.

  • 최근 코로나 19 상황으로 인해 많은 사람들이 모이는 병원 방문을 꺼리거나, 치료비에 부담을 느끼는 근골격계 재활 환자들이 많다. 이러한 환자들을 위해 이 프로젝트에서는 재활 치료 빈도가 높은 어깨와 손목 등 여섯 가지 근골격 부위의 자가 재활 치료를 돕는 기계 학습 기반 웹 페이지을 구현한다. 이 웹 페이지는 각 부위에 대한 재활 치료 자세를 구글 티처블 머신으로 학습 시킨 데이터를 기반으로 환자가 올바른 자세로 운동하는지를 판별해 준다. 이 때, 사용자의 재활 치료 자세는 웹 카메라로부터 캡쳐한다.

Relations between Self-reported Symptoms of Industrial Workers' Work-related Musculoskeletal Disorders and Psychosocial Factors (산업체 근로자의 작업관련성 근골격계질환의 자각증상과 사회심리적 요인과의 관계)

  • This study aims to identify the relations between self-reported symptoms of industrial workers work-related musculoskeletal disorders and psychosocial factors. The subjects of the study were 120 male workers who were using the rehabilitation center of K company and they were voluntarily interviewed with a use of organized questionnaire. Except the responses from eighteen subjects whose responses were insincere and who had disorders in musculoskeletal areas, the responses of 102 ones were decided for the final analysis. The results showed that there were significant differences in self-reported symptoms of work-related musculoskeletal disorders between the subjects according to smoking, physical burden and self-efficacy. To prevent and control work-related musculoskeletal disorders, multi-characteristic aspects of how the disorders appeared and psychological factors, in particular, self-efficacy, should be carefully considered. Then, as psychosocial factors affect musculoskeletal disorders, relations between the disorders and factors should be analysed through long-term follow-up studies, psychosocial factors should be actively intervened, and the effect should be evaluated.

  • In this paper, we propose a Mixed Reality based rehabilitation exercise solution with the goal of mitigating one of the most common chronic conditions among the elderly, musculoskeletal disorders. In modern society, as the number of elderly increases, more people engage in office work and engage in more sedentary activities. Due to repetitive work in the office, muscle strength decreases and this causes many difficulties in daily life. In this study, we developed a mixed reality based exercise platform to solve these chronic musculoskeletal diseases. VR is not appropriate for elderly because of dizziness. In addition, we developed a wearable sensor based on IMU and attached it to important parts of the upper body to motion tracking. We developed a algorithm synchronize to raw data from wearable sensor with in a vr avatar. Ederly can check in real time whether rehabilitation exercises are being performed accurately through the avatar.
