비선형성이 존재하는 두 개의 설명변수가 모형에 선형으로 포함되는 경우 두 설명변수가 연관성이 약하면 각각의 변수에 대한 2차원 편잔차 그림이 비선형성의 존재와 형태를 잘 나타낸다. 그러나 두 변수가 연관성이 강하면 3차원 편잔차 그림이 필요하며 2차원 편잔차 그림으로는 알아낼 수 없는 비선형성에 대한 탐지가 가능하다.

Outliers and influential observations often distort many numerical measures for data analysis. Jang and Anderson-Cook (Quality and Reliability Engineering International, 30, 1409-1425, 2014) proposed a graphical firework plot method for exploratory analysis purpose to provide a possible visualization of the trace of the impact of the possible outlying and influential observations on the univariate/bivariate data analysis and regression. They developed 3-D plot as well as pairwise plot for the appropriate measures of interest. We use firework plots as a graphical exploratory data analysis tool to detect outliers and evaluate the impact of outliers in statistical inference.

CJ문화재단이 주최하고 CJ그림책축제사무국이 주관한 제3회 CJ그림책축제가 구랍 8일부터 28일까지 한국국제교류재단 문화센터(서소문 중앙일보 1층)에서 열렸다. 상상력과 독특한 개성을 바탕으로 한 그림책은 어린이뿐 아니라 전 세대를 포용하는 장르이며 언어의 장벽을 뛰어넘어 세계적으로 소통할 수 있는 문화 아이콘이다. 2010년 CJ그림책축제는 <'CJ그림책상' 수상작전(展)>과 <한국 창작 그림책 초청전(展)>으로 구성되었다.

Outliers and influential data points distort many data analysis measures. Jang and Anderson-Cook (2014) proposed a graphical method called a rework plot for exploratory analysis purpose so that there could be a possible visualization of the trace of the impact of the possible outlying and/or influential data points on the univariate/bivariate data analysis and regression. They developed 3-D plot as well as pairwise plot for the appropriate measures of interest. This paper further extends their approach to identify its strength. We can use rework plots as a graphical exploratory data analysis tool to evaluate the impact of outliers in skewness and kurtosis of univariate data.

The purpose of this study was to explore the characteristics of children's favorite picture books by age according to genre. For this purpose, children of 6 and 9 year old were interviewed from October 2015 to January 2016, and the final data of 34 children were selected for analysis. The collected data were analyzed by inductive coding qualitatively. The results of this study are summarized as follows: First, picture books preferred by 6 year old children appeared in the order of folktale picture books, story picture books, korean-domestic poetry picture books, informational picture books, and they didn't prefer korean-translated poetry picture books. They tended to like interesting story and well-constructed plots. Second, picture books preferred by 9 year old children were surveyed in the order of story picture books, folktale picture books, korean-domestic poetry picture books, and they didn't prefer informational picture books and korean-translated poetry picture books. They explored literary elements extensively and considered them as interesting factors. Based on these results, this study revealed reasons why children of different ages prefer particular picture book genre, and proposed ways to use picture book genres widely by age.

This research is based on the design of pictures in picture books, and the spatial representation of illustrations in the picture books contains the significantly important objective. Various texts, pictures, spaces, etc. in a picture must have the operator's various editing skills so that spatial arrangement is made smoothly.In this paper, the characteristics of spatial expression of design in picture books are derived by analyzing several examples of paintings and studies on classic picture books. First, the fusion of picture and text, that is, that both picture and text convey spatial information together as elements of the screen. Second, as a characteristic of the coherence of the space design in picture books, the story and content must be smoothly connected when reading the book. Third, when expressing a space, the creator should utilize the strengths and weaknesses of each other between abstract and conceived spatial expressions as needed. Fourth, as a symbolic feature of picture book spatial expression, it can be seen that many symbolic expression techniques are applied to the spatial expression of picture books according to the semiotic principle, which greatly improves the cognitive efficiency of reading picture books. The fifth characteristic is that the spatial expression of an excellent picture book has excellent interesting element, rich design means, and interestingly conveys screen contents and screen format to readers. In this research, it is thought that designers and artists should guide the creation within a spatial framework as designing picture books, thus greatly improving the efficiency of the creation process, while also provide a reader-centered visual Interesting experience.

탐색적자료분석을 위한 도구로서 그래픽 방법들을 자주 쓰게 되는 데 이러한 그래픽 방법 중 평행좌표그림을 대상으로 이 방법을 확장하여 볼 수 있다. 이러한 확장된 그림인 정다각기둥평행좌표그림은 탐색적자료분석 도구로서 유용하게 쓰일 수 있다.

This thesis intends to grasp the degree of utilization of visual images by understanding the relational properties between picture and letter and considering the children as users, through the analysis of currently published books of English vocabulary for children. Accordingly, the types of picture used in the books of English vocabulary for children, the degree of utilization of picture, combination types of picture and letter, and semantic consistency of picture and letter are reviewed. As a result of analysis, the degree of utilization of picture is high in general, in order of illustration, cartoon, and the mix of illustration and cartoon. In the combination form of picture and letter, the degree of utilization appears in order of picture plus vocabulary, letters without illustration, and pictorial symbol. In particular, the higher semantic consistency of picture and letter, it is effective in learning, however, semantic consistency is low, generally. Pictorial symbol type shows the frequency of the highest combination type in the five groups of higher semantic consistency. In conclusion, the presented types of picture and letter, shown in the currently published books of English vocabulary for children, are similar types by the publishing companies, thus, effective design research should be required based on diverse levels of children.

This study was conducted to evaluate the usability of augmented reality (AR) picture book for young children. The participants of this study were 17 five-year-olds attending to M kindergarten in Korea. The measurement of the usability was conducted by observation and interviews during and after children's AR picture book reading 1) usability test score such as task completed that is, reading the AR picturebook successfully, 2) children's behaviors in the process of reading the book, 3) children's response to the questions asking the level of satisfaction with the AR picture book. The result of study showed that most of children could read the AR successfully adjusting the distance and angle of AR picture book to web-camera's location. And children showed verbal and nonverbal expression such as surprise, joy, questions and frustration in reading the book. Children told that AR picture book is fun and easy to read. This study would provide the implications for the interface development and adult-child book reading of AR picture books.

기억의 인출에 관여하는 전전두엽의 역할을 연구하기 위해 지각적 친숙성 정도가 다른 재인 조건을 비교하고, 이에 관여하는 뇌의 활성화 양상을 fMRI로 측정 분석하였다. 이를 위하여 동일조건; 그림으로 학습하고 동일한 내용의 다른 그림이 재인 단서로 주어지는 조건, 교차 조건; 단어로 학습하고 내용이 일치하는 그림이 재인 단서로 주어지는 조건이 비교되었다. 재인 수행(회상율, 정확도)은 동일 조건에서 가장 높앗으며 교차 조건에서 가장 저조하였다. 동일 조건 동안 양측 두정엽에서 가장 유의미한 활성화가 관찰되었으며, 상이 조건동안은 좌측 구조물들(Insular, 중 전전 두엽, hippocampal gyrus, 하두정엽 등)에서 활성화가 관찰되었다. 교차조건에서는 활성화가 좌우 시각 영역 및 두정엽의 연접부위 및 전두엽의 백질 부위(superior longitudinal fasciculus)에서 관찰되었다. 이는 그림의 인출과정에 우측 전두엽이 필수적인 것이 아니라, 인출에 수반되는 하위 정보처리 과정에 따라 다른 뇌 영역이 관여하고 있음을 시사한다. 예를 들어, 좌측 insular, 좌측 하 전전두엽에 의해 매개된 lexical processing이 상이한 그림의 재인과정에(상이조건), 시각피질과 좌측 전전두엽의 상호작용이 시각적으로 제시되었던 단어를 그림 단서로 인출하는 과정에(교차조건) 관여하고 있을 가능성을 시사하고 있다.
