  • In this paper, we suggested a mobile collaboration framework for supporting mobile services among mobile devices, and designed and implemented on this environment. The suggested framework has three elements; groups of sensors and mobile devices(Fixed and Moving-typed PDAs) and a home server. We designed interfaces for interactions with each other in collaboration environment with three elements described above. The information collected by sensors can be share and exchanged by mobile devices or a home server in accordance with Push and Pull methods. This framework is based on the distributed object group framework(DOGF) we implemented before. Therefore the DOGF provides functions of object group management, storing information and security services to our mobile collaboration framework via application interfaces defined. The information collected by sensors is arranged according to user's security 'demands. And user profile information is used for checking authority of each service object. Each component for executing functions of mobile devices and a home server is implemented by TMO scheme. And we used the TMOSM for interactions between distributed components. Finally, we showed via GUI the executablity of a given healthcare application scenario on our mobile collaboration framework.

  • The elderly rate in South Korea in 2015 is over 13.1%. Especially, the elderly rate in rural area is high. Senior community project in rural that is being promoted by the government. This study's purpose is to provide the reserch group-home for the elderly in Japan rural area. And this paper provided planning of group-home for the elderly in Korea rural area. For this study, respective 5senior housing of Korea and Japan were chosen as respresenting two nations, and every manager was interviewed on housing pattern. This study suggests the planning material as following. First, the effectiveness of the group-home are big. Especially, the elderly was far healthier. Design point is public space(living room, small living room, etc). Maybe, healthy group-home concept is that would be design by Korean traditional housing. Also important public space design is that would be inner courtyard-house, wood floor, Deachong, etc. Two group-homes will construct elderly welfare facilities in between. Otherwise that is need layout of a big public space. In the case of vacant house can used by considering of scale, structure, site condition. Closed school can used through so easy remodeling too. More often than not complex type(hospital, community heath center) was appeared in Japan rural area. In the case of Korea, recommend complex type in community health center and public building. In this case, considering communication, access, contact, group-home keeps on ground floor. In this paper, we hope to take a lesson from group-home planning source for the elderly in Korea rural area.

  • Recently, M2M (Machine to Machine) communication is possible the development of MTC (Machine Type Communication) devices becomes active. MCT devices in the form of home appliances have a low power consumption, low cost, short-range wireless communication in wireless home network. For purpose, MTC devices based on IEEE 802.15.4/Zigbee are composed in the form of cluster-tree topology, which consists of one PAN (Personal Area Network), one or other router and end of nodes. It happens that transmission delay, packet drop, and lacking data resulted from collision originated by a competition for allocating channels among MTC devices that greatly increased. At last performance of entire network can be degradated. This paper proposes that the beacon frame-based grouping algorithm using multiple channels in a MTC devices in the presence of wireless home network interference. The proposed algorithm decreases the transmission delay, dropped packet and throughput is more increase, so the proposal algorithm is more efficient than the IEEE 802.15.4/ Zigbee standard.

  • Sixteen male college students were divided into two groups: a face-to-face group(n=8) and a real-time non-face-to-face exercise group(n=8), engaging in 30minute sessions twice a week for a duration of 8 weeks. Body composition and physical strength were measured as dependent variables before and after the home training period. For data analysis, a two-way ANOVA with repeated measures was conducted to evaluate the effects on body composition and physical strength, considering differences in exercise methods and measurement periods. Post hoc analysis using Bonferroni correction was applied. To compare the mean difference in change between groups, the pre-post difference was calculated, and an independent t-test was performed. The statistical significance level was set at p<.05. The results showed that 8 weeks of home training led to an increase in skeletal muscle mass and improvements in muscle strength, muscular endurance, and cardiorespiratory endurance in male college students, regardless of whether they participated in face-to-face or real-time non-face-to-face exercise. Moreover, there was no significant difference in exercise effectiveness between the face-to-face and real-time non-face-to-face exercise methods. Thus, these findings suggest that real-time non-face-to-face exercise can be as effective as face-to-face exercise in enhancing skeletal muscles and physical strength in male college students. Additionally, if a real-time non-face-to-face exercise program is validated for individuals with mobility issues or the elderly, it could serve as an effective alternative for those who face challenges in participating in face-to-face exercise sessions.

  • The purpose of the study was to suggest the housing alternatives for the elderly from the viewpoint of aging in place. The study was intended to present the alternatives on the basis of the concept of group home and shared housing. In order to achieve it, first, the concept and characteristics of group home and shared housing were examined. Then, the living conditions of the elderly and the home sharing related needs of them were examined. The subjects were 201 older persons whose age was more than 65 years and lived in detached houses. Results were as follows; 1) It was identified that group home and shared housing were acceptable to the subject aged. 2) The modified group home which consisted of less than 10 individual detached houses and common area was presented as an alternative for the elderly. The individual ones were existing ones which the elderly lived in. The common area included of common kitchen, dining room, bathroom, and living room for about 10 old persons. The common area can be provided by building a new one and remodeling the existing building for other purpose or community center for the elderly. The detached houses which had spare bedrooms can be shared by another old persons. This alternative would be economic and useful to the elderly.

  • Authentication is needed to use safe devices in the home network environment. In this authentication, there are an ID base form and Certification base form. In case of an ID base form, it is difficult to apply to the multi domain environment and in case of an Certification base form, because the way that contains and stores the certificate demand on devices, additional setting of the user is needed for transfer of ownership and purchase of new devices, and more. Because both ways attend an individual authentication for devices, the ways exist overhead as the frequent authentication for a lot of devices in service aspects of user needs. To arrange these problems, in this paper, the authentication information of devices can be securely stored and managed in the java card and a processing time of the authentication could be improved better then the existing technique by authenticating a group of service.

  • We design and implement explicit mobile multicast, named XMIP, by enhancing explicit multicast for a great number of small group multicast communications. XMIP is a straightforward multicast mechanism without maintaining multicast states due to the inheritance from the explicit multicast based on a unicast routing. This research modifies and extends the functionality of each mobility agent of IETF Mobile IP for interworking XMIP XMIP Packets captured by an extended home agent are forwarded to each extended foreign agent through nested tunnels, named X-in-X tunnels, made by the binding table of the extended home agent. X-in-X tunneling mechanism can effectively solve the serious traffic concentration problems of Mobile IP multicast specifications. Finally heterogeneous mobile networks as an XMIP testbed including CDMA2000 1X EV-DO and WLAN are actually established, and a multi-user instant messenger system for small group communications is developed for verifying the feasibility of the proposed protocols.

  • This study evaluated 26 elderly residents living independently in 4 group homes for their abilities in daily living and analyzed their behaviors of space occupancy and activities of daily living. The aim of the study was to identify the relationships between the physical environments of the group homes and the daily activities of the residents. The results of this study are summarized as follows. 1) Most residents in the group home considered bathing and cooking to be the most difficult of their living activities. The residents were categorized into "Independent," "Semi-dependent" and "Dependent" groups, on the basis of their ADL and IADL scores, and individual groups were examined. On ADL scorelt was shown, then, that 65.4% of the residents were was independent in ADL, but there was no any significant difference in IADL between the independent, semi-dependent and dependent groups. In addition, there was a difference in ADL and IADL among the groups. The independent group's residents were shown to be independent in ADL and IADL, whereas the but those of the semi-dependent and dependent groups' residents were lower in IADL than in ADL. 2) When their behaviors of space occupancy were examined, it appeared that the independent group showed a different space sharing pattern among individual residents, with a wide range of behavior of space occupancy. Meanwhile, The semi-dependent group mostly shared a common space with simple activities of daily living while no any service low leisure program was provided. However, the dependent group mainly consisted of residents who had a low level of independence in ADL and IADL, so that their behaviors of space occupancy were entirely negative.
