A Pipelined Hash Join Method for Load Balancing (부하 균형 유지를 고려한 파이프라인 해시 조인 방법)

  • We investigate the effect of the data skew of join attributes on the performance of a pipelined multi-way hash join method, and propose two new hash join methods with load balancing capabilities. The first proposed method allocates buckets statically by round-robin fashion, and the second one allocates buckets adaptively via a frequency distribution. Using hash-based joins, multiple joins can be pipelined so that the early results from a join, before the whole join is completed, are sent to the next join processing without staying on disks. Unless the pipelining execution of multiple hash joins includes some load balancing mechanisms, the skew effect can severely deteriorate system performance. In this paper, we derive an execution model of the pipeline segment and a cost model, and develop a simulator for the study. As shown by our simulation with a wide range of parameters, join selectivities and sizes of relations deteriorate the system performance as the degree of data skew is larger. But the proposed method using a large number of buckets and a tuning technique can offer substantial robustness against a wide range of skew conditions.

The first proposed method allocates buckets statically by round-robin fashion, and the second one allocates buckets dynamically via a frequency distribution. Using harsh-based joins, multiple joins can be pipelined to that the early results from a join, before the whole join is completed, are sent to the next join processing without staying in disks. Shared nothing multiprocessor architecture is known to be more scalable to support very large databases. However, this hardware structure is very sensitive to the data skew. Unless the pipelining execution of multiple hash joins includes some dynamic load balancing mechanism, the skew effect can severely deteriorate the system performance. In this parer, we derive an execution model of the pipeline segment and a cost model, and develop a simulator for the study. As shown by our simulation with a wide range of parameters, join selectivities and sizes of relations deteriorate the system performance as the degree of data skew is larger.   • The purpose of this study in obesity gait and to present relevant evidence for the prevention of musculoskeletal disorders to serve as clinical data were performed. 40 female college student body healthy, normal-weight group(n=20) and obesity group(n=20) after classification the gait pattern(smartstep), the balance index (biodex balance SD), muscle activity (surface EMG) to measure quantitatively were compared. Obesity group compared to normal-weight group, the body weight due to pressure and overcoming the load, weight gain due to the unbalance in the body by increasing the ankle joint movement by walking activity of the muscles that act on the ankle movement increases the more you know could. Therefore, in order to prevent musculoskeletal disorders in obese not to and continued strengthening of the muscles and the gait training, balance training is needed.

  • 콘크리트의 보강재로 높은 인장 강도와 비부식성, 비자기성, 비전기성 등의 장점을 갖는 FRP의 사용에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 하지만 FRP가 갖는 낮은 탄성계수와 취성적 성질로 인해 기존 설계방법을 적용하기에는 문제가 있다. 본 연구에서는 보강비 변화에 따른 AFRP 보강 콘크리트 보의 구조 실험을 수행하여 FRP 보강근을 사용한 콘크리트 부재의 휨 성능 연구에 대한 기초적 자료를 제공하고자 하였다. 각 실험체의 결과 데이터를 비교 분석한 결과 균형보강비를 기준으로 저보강 실험체는 FRP의 파단에 의해 급격한 파괴양상을 보인 반면에, 과보강 실험체는 콘크리트가 압괴하는 파괴 징후를 보이며 파괴에 도달하였다. FRP 보강근을 사용한 보 부재의 설계에 균형보강 이상의 설계가 요구되며, 과보강의 경우 고강도 콘크리트의 사용이 요구되는 것으로 분석되었다.

Effects of family characteristics on the work-life balance of youth in early adolescence: differences between fifth and eighth graders (가족특성이 초기 청소년의 일생활 균형에 미치는 영향: 초등학교 5학년과 중학교 2학년의 차이)

  • This study aimed to explore the influence of family characteristics on the work-life balance of early adolescents. A series of data analyses was conducted on adolescents' use of time in daily life on the basis of 2018 Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey (KCYPS 2018). We found that the work-life balance of youth is related to their parents' health status, presence of older siblings, household income, parenting attitude, parent-child communication time, and mother's occupation. The work-life balance of the fifth graders is more likely to be influenced by family characteristics compared with that of the eighth graders. In particular, the fifth graders' sleep deprivation is affected by the mother's occupation, but there is no significant effect on the eighth graders' sleep deprivation. An important factor in skipping breakfast is household income, with adolescents from low-income families tending to skip breakfast more than five days a week. In addition, parents' health status and parenting attitude are significantly related to skipping of breakfast in early adolescents. Household income is related to the after-school private tutoring hours of both the fifth and eighth graders; however, parenting attitude and mother's occupation are also significant influencing factors of the fifth graders' after-school study. Mother's occupation is related to excessive cell phone use; specifically, the fifth graders whose mothers work white-collar jobs, sales and services or manufacturing are more likely to play with cell phones more than three hours a day than those whose mothers are full-time housewives. These results suggest that the work-life balance policies targeted at the family characteristics of adolescents can improve family environments in a manner that enhances adolescents' life balance, thus supporting the well-being of early adolescents and their families.

Relationships among Nursing Practice Environment and Turnover Intention of Hospital Nurses: The Mediating Effect of The Work-Life Balance (간호사의 간호근무환경과 이직의도 관계 : 워라벨(일과 삶의 균형)의 매개효과)

  • The purpose of this study was to test the mediating effect of WLB on the relationship between the nursing practice environment and turnover intention of nurses. Data were collected from October 5 to October 30, 2020 for 144 nurses for more than 6 months at three general hospitals located in A-do. Data analyzed using the SPSS/WIN 23.0 program by t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and regression analysis. As a result of the study, WLB was partial mediating role in the relationship between the nursing practice environment and turnover intention. Therefore, in order to reduce the turnover rate of nurses, it is necessary to develop and apply programs along with organizational human resource management strategies to positively improve the nursing practice environment of nurses and to promoting WLB. Based on the results of this study, we intend to provide basic data to reduce the turnover rate of nurses by positively recognizing the nursing practice environment of nurses and improving WLB.

원유선물시장(原油先物市場)과 현물시장(現物市場)의 동태적통합(動態的統合) 및 효율성(效率性)

  • 83년 7월부터 NYMEX 선물시장에서 거래되기 시작한 원유선물은 90년대 들어 주식 채권 외환 등의 금융시장과 관련하여 크게 성장하고 있으며, 원유선물가격이 현물시장에서의 가격형성에 큰 영향을 미치고 있다. 따라서, 원유선물가격이 미래의 현물가격에 대한 최적의 예측치라고 하는 합리적기대모형(合理的期待模型)에 의거하여 원유선물 가격과 현물가격의 변화추이 및 그들 사이의 장(長) 단기(短期) 균형관계(均衡關係)(동태적통합(動態的統合))와 효율성(效率性)등을 일별(日別) NYMEX 선물유가(근월도래선물(近月到來先物)의 종가(終價))와 WTI 현물유가의 자료를 이용하여 계량분석하였다. 원유선물가격과 현물가격은 단위근(單位根)을 갖는 불안정(不安定)한 시계열이지만, 선물유가와 현물유가사이에는 공적분관계(共積分關係)(공통확률적추세(共通確率的趨勢))가 있어 장기적(長期的) 균형관계(均衡關係)가 존재하며, 또한 공시계열상관관계(共時系列相關關係)(공통안정적순환(共通安定的循環))가 있어 단기적(短期的) 균형관계(均衡關係)도 존재하는 것으로 보여진다. 그리고 선물유가는 미래의 현물유가에 대한 예측력이 있는 것으로 보여진다. 따라서, 원유선물가격이 미래의 현물가격에 대한 최적의 예측치라고 히는 합리적기대모형(合理的期待模型)과 일치하는 것으로 나타났다. 원유선물가격이 현물가격과 장(長) 단기적(短期的)으로 동태적(動態的)인 균형관계를 보이고 있으므로 정부의 합리적인 수입선다변화정책과 유가자유화에 따른 석유업계의 효율적인 운영방안의 하나로 원유선물시장의 활용이 더욱 더 필요할 것으로 생각된다.

An Alternative Approach for Setting Equilibrium Prices of Sericultural Products (잠사류의 균형 가격모색)

  • There are many factors affecting the development of sericultural industry in Korea. The setting of a rational pricing system for sericultural products is one of important activities of the Korean Government to improve the incentives to producers. The determination o: the prices for many years were based on the production costs including a certain level of profits. Some of cost items are in conflict both in cocoon producers and silk-reeling industries. Government officials have to evaluate these conflicting problems and estimate the consequences of their decisions. In this situation the final decision often became political decisions. This analysis is aimed at providing an alternative method of setting the prices of sericultural products. The criteria of the equilibrium employed in this analysis are based on economic principle which equilibrium condition is determined by the relationships between the marginal productivity of input factors and factor prices. In order to obtain the related information Cobb-Douglas'functions were fitted using KIST computer and data were obtained mostly from the Bank of Korea and the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestru, An important assumption is that "Opportunity Costs" of factors input in both cocoon production and silk-Peeling industries are same, The major finding s obtained are as followings. 1) The sum of coefficient of production elastisity in silk-reeling industries is greater than one. Silk-reeling industries are operating under the situation of increasing return to scale and it is, therefore, expected to develop the industries as the capital-intensive large scale. 2) The cocoon producing farmers are under the situations of the decreasing return to scale and it is expected to continue their cocoon farming as the labor-intensive small scale, assuming the present level of production technology. As the development of commercial farming, the resources input in cocoon production will be shifted to the production for higher profitable crops, 3) The price elastisity of production is higher in cocoon production than in silk-reeling industries. It is expected that the price changing effects on domestic production will be resulted from cocoon producers. 4) Based on analysis results of marginal productivities and the opportunity costs of resources, cocoon price for meeting equilibrium price condition is to be increased by 8-16 percent or standard price level of silk increased by 6-8 percent. There were the possibilities of over evaluation on opportunity cost of resources input in silk-reeling industries, or income transfered from the farmers to the industries. It is recommended that the prices for meeting equilibrium price conditions are to be determined by 72 percent for cocoon and 28 percent for silk-reeling costs, based on standard level of the exporting prices.

Effect on the Balance Ability after Four Week Training Using the System for 3-D Dynamic Exercise Equipment (3차원 동적 운동기기를 이용한 4주간의 운동 시 균형 능력에 미치는 효과)

  • In previous studies, the dynamic exercise equipment just focused on the trunk stabilization exercise. However, our study is targeted at evaluation for the impact on the postural balance of those researches. Twelve male and twelve female subjects were volunteered for the balance training using this system. They had no medical history of backpain for the past six months. Trunk Stability and postural balance training was performed for 15 minutes a day, three times a week duing four weeks. To evaluate characterization of the postural balance using Balance System SD, Evaluation consist of the postural stability test and the postural limit test. As a result, this training with 3D dynamic exercise equipment help subjects improve the postural balance. These results are expected for using basic materials to the elderly with a high risk of falling and trained athletes needed to be a postural control.

The Effect of Work-Family Balance on Job Satisfaction : The Mediating Effect of Family Supportive Organizational Culture (일·가정 균형이 직무만족에 미치는 영향 : 가족친화문화의 매개효과)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of work-family balance on job satisfaction and the mediating effect of family supportive organizational culture in the relationship. For this purpose, the 6th data of the Women's Family Panel was used to analyze 2,016 married female workers who are currently employed among respondents aged 19 to 64. According to the analysis, First, work-family balance was found to have a positive effect on job satisfaction, and second, family supportive organizational culture had a mediating effect between work-family balance and job satisfaction. These results are meaningful in that they reaffirmed the emotional connection between work and family areas, suggesting that not only an institutional approach for work-family balance but also a cultural approach such as family-supportive organizational culture need to be considered.
