A Study on Fuzzy Rule Functional Verification for Service ratio Prediction of Server in ATM Networks (ATM망에서 서버의 서비스율 예측을 위한 퍼지 규칙 기능 검증에 관한 연구)

  • In this thesis, we created a Fuzzy rule in a Fuzzy logic that are fuzzy logic which is composed of linguistic rules and Fuzzy inference engine for effective traffic control in ATM networks. The parameters of the Fuzzy rules are adapted to minimize the given performance index in both cases. In other words, the difuzzification value controls the service rate in the server to total traffic arrival ratio and buffer occupancy ratio using fuzzy set theory for traffic connected after reasoning. Also, show experiment result about rule by MATLAB6.5 and on-line bulid-up to verify validity of created Fuzzy rule. As a result, we can verify that service ratio in server is efficiently controlled by the total traffic arrival ratio and buffer occupancy ratio.

  • Efficient ordering of decision variables is one of the methods that find solutions quickly in the depth first search using backtracking. At this time, development of variables ordering algorithms considering dynamic and static properties of the problems is very important. However, to exploit optimal variable ordering algorithms appropriate to the problems. In this paper, we propose a problem classifying rule which provides problem type based on variables' properties, and use this rule to predict optimal type of variable ordering algorithms. We choose frequency allocation problem as a DS-type whose decision variables have dynamic and static properties, and estimate optimal variable ordering algorithm. We also show the usefulness of problem classifying rule by applying base station problem as a special case whose problem type is not generated from the presented rule.

An Intelligent Characters for Fighting Action Games Using Genetic Algorithms (유전자 알고리즘을 이용한 대전형 액션게임의 지능캐릭터)

  • This paper proposes a method to provide intelligence for characters in fighting action games by using genetic algorithm. The proposed characters without any knowledge on the rules of the game learn the rules and techniques for generations, and have the capability of evolving. To evaluate adaptability for varying circumstances, we changed the rules and compared the results. The experimental results show that the intelligent characters can adapt to the new rules. An advantage of the proposed method is that it can be easily applied to characters for other category of games such as PC games and internet online games.

  • XML(eXtensible Markup Language, XML)은 인터넷에서의 자료 교환을 위해 고안된 언어이다. 본 논문에서는 XML의 개념을 발전시킨 확장형 규칙 표식 언어(extensible Rule Markup Language, XRML)를 제안하고 있다. XRML은 웹 페이지에 내재된 암묵적 규칙의 식별, 구조적인 규칙으로의 변환, 사람과 소프트웨어 에이전트간의 지식 공유를 가능하게 하며, 이를 통해 지식기반시스템(Knowledge Based System)과 지식관리시스템(Knowledge Management System)의 통합을 실현할 수 있는 새로운 언어가 될 것이다. 본 고에서는 XRML이 이상과 같은 능력을 갖기 위해 반드시 갖춰야 할 6가지 설계 기준과, 이들 기준을 반영한 XRML 구성 요소로서 RIML(Rule Identification Markup Language), RSML(Rule Structure Markup Language)과 RTML(Rule Triggering Markup Language)을 설계하였으며, 개별 요소들의 기능 및 특성과 함께 태그와 DTD(Document Type Definition)도 식별하였다. 나아가 전술한 구조를 기반으로 하여 XRML을 워크플로우 시스템상의 폼처리에 적용한 Form/XRML이라는 프로토타입 시스템을 설계하고 구현하였다. 본 프로토타입의 개발을 통해, 지식기반시스템의 지식을 활용하는 RTML이 폼을 비롯한 다양한 응용시스템에 내재될 수 있으며, 웹 페이지의 암묵적 규칙과 지식기반시스템의 규칙이 일관성 있게 유지될 수 있음을 보여 주었다. 요컨대 본 연구는 XRML이 지능형 웹으로 발전하기 위한 새로운 도구이며, KBS와 US의 통합을 위한 중요한 도구임을 입증하였다는 점에서 큰 의의를 갖는다고 하겠다.

  • 최근 모든 상장기업에 도입이 의무화된 국제회계기준(IFRS : International Financial Reporting Standards)의 주요한 특징 중에 하나는 원칙 중심이기 때문에 꼭 필요한 원칙만을 규정하고 나머지는 기업들이 자율적으로 작성하도록 허용하고 있다는 것이다. 이러한 특징은 기업 스스로의 작성규칙을 합리적으로 관리하고, 처리의 적절성을 증명해야하기 때문에 기존의 획일적인 회계처리시스템으로는 이러한 회계처리규칙을 효율적 관리를 하기 어려운 문제를 안고 있다. 비즈니스 룰(Business Rule)을 관리하고 처리하는 BRMS(Business Rule Management System)는 이러한 회계처리 규칙들을 원칙과 자율적인 회계규칙들로 나누고, 상황에 따라 자율적인 회계규칙들의 적용과 적용결과를 모니터링하고, 관리할 수 있는 방법을 제공할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 BRMS의 비즈니스 룰에 의하여 처리되는 회계프로그래밍의 틀을 제시함으로써 정해진 회계원칙과 자율적인 회계규칙을 반영하여 회계를 처리하고 관리할 수 있는 방안을 제시한다.

Rule-based Process Control System for multi-product, small-sized production (다품종 소량생산 공정을 위한 규칙기반 공정관리 시스템)

  • There have been many problems to apply SPC(Statistical Process Control) which is a traditional process control technology to the process of multi-product, small-sized production because a machine in the process manufactures small numbers, but various kinds of products. Therefore, we need the new process control system that can flexibly control the process by setting up the SPEC rules and the KNOWHOW rules. The SPEC rule contains the combination of diverse conditions to specify the characteristics of various products. The KNOWHOW rule is based on engineers' know-how. The study suggests the Rule-base Process Control that can be optimized to the multi-product, small-sized production. It was validated in the process of semiconductor production.

  • Production rule based knowledge representation method has many advantages, but has the difficulties in maintaining the consistency of knowledge. Since the consistency maintenance of knowledge exercises a marked effect on the reliability of inference results, the system for consistency maintenance of knowledge is indispensable to increase the reliability. In the most popular pairwise checking method among consistency verification methods, the valuable rules can be omitted and it takes much time in checking the consistency when the rules are numerous. So, this paper is to propose and implement the verification system which can remove the structural errors and semantic ones, making up for the defects of pairwise checking method by using the certain property list and eventual property list and improving the steps of verification.

  • Signature based intrusion detection system (IDS), having stored rules for detecting intrusions at the library, judges whether new inputs are intrusion or not by matching them with the new inputs. However their policy has two restrictions generally. First, when they couldn't make rules against new intrusions, false negative (FN) errors may are taken place. Second, when they made a lot of rules for maintaining diversification, the amount of resources grows larger proportional to their amount. In this paper, we propose the learning algorithm which can evolve the competent of anomaly detectors having the ability to detect anomalous attacks by genetic algorithm. The anomaly detectors are the population be composed of by following the negative selection procedure of the biological immune system. To show the effectiveness of proposed system, we apply the learning algorithm to the artificial network environment, which is a computer security system.

  • This paper deals with the improvement of the synthesized speech quality and naturality in the Korean TTS(Text-to-Speech) system. We had extracted the parameters(table2) such as its amplitude, duration and pitch period in a syllable through the analysis of speech waveforms(table1) in the time domain and synthesized syllables using them. To the frequencies of the Korean pronunciation large vocabulary dictionary we had synthesized speeches selected 229 syllables such as V types are 19, CV types are 80. VC types are 30 and CVC types are 100. According to the 4 Korean syllable types from the data format dictionary(table3) we had tested each 15 syllables with the objective MOS(Mean Opinion Score) evaluation method about the 4 items i.e., intelligibility, clearness, loudness, and naturality after selecting random group without the knowledge of them. As the results of experiments the qualities of them are very clear and we can control the prosodic elements such as durations, accents and pitch periods (fig9, 10, 11, 12).

A Binary Decision Diagram-based Modeling Rule for Object-Relational Transformation Methodology (객체-관계 변환 방법론을 위한 이진 결정 다이어그램 기반의 모델링 규칙)

  • In order to design a system, software developers use an object model such as the UML class diagram. Object-Relational Transformation Methodology (ORTM) is a methodology to transform the relationships that are expressed in the object model into relational database tables, and it is applied for the implementation of the designed system. Previous ORTM studies have suggested a number of transformation methods to represent one relationship. However, there is an implementation problem that is difficult to apply because the usage criteria for each transformation method do not exist. Therefore, this paper proposes a binary decision diagram-based modeling rule for each relationship. Hence, we define the conditions for distinguishing the transformation methods. By measuring the query execution time, we also evaluate the modeling rules that are required for the verification. After evaluation, we re-define the final modeling rules which are represented by propositional logic, and show that our proposed modeling rules are useful for the implementation of the designed system through a case study.
